It depends on your playstyle.

If you wanted to try out the new Dragon Priest meme you could only run Brann and nothing else as far as legendary cards go. The only cards you'd have to craft are the dragons it uses if you don't have them already, and of those, I think only two of them are epics, so it's actually not a lot of dust to just create the whole deck from scratch.

I wasn't trying to crusify you for your opinion. I think Aya is a must-have if you want to play jade decks. Other than that I think it just depends on what decks you want to play. Pirate warrior requires patches, but dragon priest does not require wrathion. Shaman doesn't require any of the new legendaries. Druid doesn't require the new legendaries. Warlock doesn't require the new legendaries.

Actually, I think only pirate warrior and jade decks, and maybe tempo or frost mages really need to run new legendaries for sure. Everything else is optional or not necessary.

Jade druid is extremely strong. Jade shaman is very strong, maybe tier 2. Jade rogue is mid-tier, I'd say tier 3 at best, but it's not weak - you have around 40~50% chance to win against pirate warrior, dragon priest, or jade druid.

It really depends on if you want to play druid, shaman, or rogue. At least two of those are very strong right now.

The whole jade mechanic is slow because it has to ramp, so the early game for me is just trying to stay alive and delay until the mid-game when you can get more golems out, and then around turn 7~8 you have such a huge tempo lead that you just win.

They're not shit, they're just slow, so you have to design your deck with some plan for delaying the game. If you can't deal with aggro or face decks you just lose, but druid, rogue, and shaman all have plenty of tools for that.

Jade is basically a delayed mid-range mechanic that wins the late-game automatically through massive value and tempo. Aggro is the only weakness, but that's a BIG weakness, so you have to hope the stars align and you get a perfect curve or you're fucked.

Paladin is actually pretty good right now.

It will probably change once the meta is fleshed out since the popular weenie deck is pretty inconsistent. There isn't much room to growth, all the good cards are there, you just either draw them in the right order and win, or don't and lose.

Maybe there is room for some midrange list, but it would have to compete against dragon priest, jade golem decks, and whatever aggro decks are left after the first month.

Why do people hate Jade Druid again?

It's a deck that is pure value and nothing else, waits until turn 10 to simply get board control and win, doesn't have any sort of "degenerate" combo until like turn 8 at least, is a pretty linear ramp deck, doesn't use Reno for massive heals, doesn't use any sort of burst combination for OTKs

It's like Zoo except without two cards a turn and considerably slower.

The card draw is fine. You don't mill, even against control decks, because if they don't go aggro you just go face and play on tempo. Jade druid vs Reno favors druid because they can cycle most of their deck and burst you down in the late game with gadgetzan. Aggro decks get dumpstered because they can't win through attrition fast enough, since reno mage taps into frost mage bullshit for the best of all worlds.

Reno mage is just an extremely well-rounded versatile deck that always seems to have an answer to anything the opponent does, no matter what deck they are playing. It's kind of a jack-of-all-trades master-of-none, but that's okay, because with the meta this unstable that's exactly where you want to be to win consistently while everyone else is trying out gimmicks.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think reno mage will survive more than a month, but right now it's extremely good.

This is the 3rd Jade Druid I've faced in a row as Renolock, the first two I lost while the 3rd I drew almost every card to beat them

Deck feels really hard to beat, if they go wild growth + jade blossom I think you just lose then and there. Fandral becomes fucking busted with Jade Idol too

I think I need to switch to running Leeroy PO and Faceless to finish games faster, N'Zoth is just too slow unfortunate that I don't even have a faceless or leeroy

Warrior hero power only delays the inevitable, since pirate warrior aggro runs out of steam around turn 5~6. If they can't win the early game they just lose, which is why I don't think pirate warrior is going to survive once the meta gets more stable. Reno mage auto-wins because they have plenty of removal and ways to delay the game.

Jade druid beats it currently, because jade druid is one of the strongest decks and I don't see that changing. I think jade druid is just a better deck than reno mage and is going to stay at or near the top most of this expansion.

Aggro decks always punish a deck that can't curve out. That's not a flaw specific to reno mage, it's a flaw with any slow deck. However, reno mage has enough versatility to win if they curve very efficiently, but yeah that really just requires you to get lucky and not make any mistakes.

I recommend you experiment with stealth rogue if you want to be ahead of the curve. Reynard was looking at it last night on stream saying it looks strong as hell and nobody seems to realize this just yet.

Right now everyone is running jade n'zoth rogue, which is kind of a hybrid mid-range tempo deck, pirate rogue which is aggro tempo, or miracle rogue, which hasn't really changed in years but got a lot better because of counterfeit coin.

I feel like jade rogue is weaker than jade druid. Pirate rogue is very strong, even stronger than pirate warrior if you mulligan into a great opener like patches + gang up.

Maybe. Nobody is playing control warrior right now though. But you're not wrong, and that's why I say I don't think reno mage will survive for long. As soon as the meta settles, reno mage will get pushed down into tier 3 or lower by efficient control decks.

Dragon priest is going to be top tier along with jade druid. Dragon priest is just strong as hell. Reno mage is not favored against dragon priest.

When I said I think reno mage is the real aids, I meant it's really obnoxious because it's gimmicky and not the sort of deck type that you tech for, which means sometimes it can do very well and you get dumpstered by it, especially if you play mid-range decks like the jade shaman decks that were being discussed earlier.

But reno mage is absolutely not top tier. I hope that clears everything up and we're on the same page now.

Dragon priest control for example dumpsters reno mage.

Kazakus is strong but it's not an auto-win for reno mage because you can't reliably draw it every game. If you draw a ragnaros or antonidas instead, you just lose.

He's good. Don't fall into the meme of picking the 10 mana potion. Board clear are never guaranteed with any potion, you could end up with 10 mana gain 10 armor and deal 8 dmg, which is pretty mediocre. 5 mana potion is super flexible, probably the best overall
