On the west Pqube said the game was pretty successful for a niche title and that they were pleased with the results.

I didn't expect to like VD but it became one of my top 20 favorite Vita titles.
That gameplay was pretty addicting, and the story was interesting enough for me to not power through and forget it.

Oh yes the platforming was bad, bosses also sometimes got glitchy and teleported a bit. Was really frustrated by how sometimes when powered up gouzanze did the body slam attack she'd suddenly jump to right on top of me after I was out of range.
