To that Nox guy last thread the issue with Nox being called an Anti- mage is that "anti-mage" really doesn't mean much when other gods have just as powerful lock down and damage output.

Her burst is very unique in that it does ONE thing that other mages do not, and that is render you useless. At least with Scylla's cripples you can cast healing or other abilities that don't involve moving, but with Nox, not only are you standing still, but you can't save yourself, or others. If she lands it, her reward is 125% scaling + her passive + the damage of her team. She's a highly team coordinated God that picks off the most important people off of the fight if she lands her stuff. Sorry her not doing it for no risk whatsoever is bad.

That's literally every mage. Its just that Nox is a high risk high reward God with a particularly unique reward. Again, not every single mage has to be able to mindlessly nuke a lane without aim skill to be effective.
I'll say its again from last thread. She excels at locking down single opponents, not only bursting them down heavily, but leaving them useless for 3-4 seconds and picks off people one by one from a fight. Because she not only has 125% + passive scaling, but ALSO has a cripple / root and silence, her damage is made to be a skill shot, so it is a REWARD for landing it. She is good. There are little things here and there you could probably fix with her but her core kit is fine.

The reward isn't good enough to justify the risk. It's not that Nox is BAD necessarily, she certainly has a lot of killing power, but the fact of the matter is there are other mages that are less risky but deal similar amounts of damage, or provide more utility and versatility to a team. I don't even think Nox has been picked in the SPL this season.

Her 1+2 is actually 180% scaling. I was wrong on the 125% because I thought the tick on her 1 was 25% in total, not 20 per tick, but that's still 180 + the 3-12% from passive. Scylla's 1+2 is only 165, granted she has shred to make up for it. Her 1+2 alone is up there with Raijin tier burst.
She was picked by MLC Stealth twice during Super Regionals, and did excellent both games capitalizing on the strengths of her 1+2 I mentioned while also making use of her Ult and winning the matches. Nox's utility is unique and she's already quite versatile. The only problem is that if you cannot land 1-2, you might as well not be in the game. I understand how "bad" that maybe to people who live off of the game by playing it competitively for money, but if this wasn't her problem and it was something miniscule, she would be broken.

Playing athena with a complete burst mage build is the most fun thing to do in smite.

pen boots, thoth, dynasty plate, poly, soul reaver, ob shard then sell dynasty for tahuti.

Enjoy 2-shotting everyone. Finishing off kills with poly and her dash is like the most satisfying thing ever.

I like using this build in the jungle or mid. If you go mid get soulstone. You can stack it by 3ing the melees then throwing your spear through all the minions to get the proc again and dashing through for clear.

You won't need travellers boots as long as you're splitting camps with bumbas, please don't do this. Bluestone is fine if you're not jungling though and for other modes since people don't seem to expect what ring toss can do.

In related news, Guan is the best solo laner. Niggas just need to know when to heal your wave and stay aggressive on the enemy wave to keep your passive charged. Healing your minions is almost as important as healing yourself in early game. Last game I played with him I went 22/6/20. Best match I've had in a long time.

Runeforged is an amazing late-game item on him, especially if you have a Ymir on your team, or anyone that has a spamable slow. Just build heavy prots and stay in the enemies face with 2+3 combo +1 on teammates for max CDR. Also charging his passive and immediately dismounting from his ult if infinitesimally useful in team fights.

Of course they are. Nobody is going to dump their kit on a tanky and self healing / never dying Hercules unless you get locked down by Nox or ulted by Nemesis or something. If they're attacking your squishies, Peel for them. You have two moves that put both tanks and squishies significantly out of place and if you throw them into your team they're usually 100% dead. Build tanky, with maybe a Titan's at the end.

I've been playing Camazotz recently and I seriously think this nigger just needs a buff to his leap. It's hard as shit to stick to someone enough to kill them and if they leap away from you your fucked because you are NEVER going to catch up to them. Other than that he seems fine, but I just find it hard choosing him over other assassins unless you are just grinding for worshipers. Been having good luck going with Warriors > Jotunns > Hydra > Void Shield > Bloodforge > Titans. Been thinking about dropping Void Shield for Stonecutter for the extra movement speed just to have an easier time sticking
