When will this silly fire greatsword you get right after starting the game stop being the absolute best weapon for every situation? It does the most damage by far, even against enemies resistant to both greatswords and fire. Hell, it even knocks enemies down constantly.

Are any DLCs still available to get from various places? I picked my copy of XV from Bestbuy and haven't looked into the others at all till now.

If it weren't for the 22bucks difference, I might have gone to gamestop for that PSN game.

So the mace is a dupe, I now have two old Zack relics, and I now have all three outdated Toblerone relics.

Maybe I'm thinking too much at 2am in the morning but does anyone feel that the party characters are just there like they have no reason to be there. they have no story or no bio and they are just.. there right in the beginning. do they even have a plot.
In every jrpg most characters have something to do with the plot or have a introduction. this game doesn't. They just are shit characters.

If this was a good jrpg the cast would be noctis, luna, Aranea and the hime cut women who I am forgetting the name of,cor, and Ardyn. They all at least have a plot point and introductions. If you slowly found these people like most jrpgs it would be ten times better then these fucks.

And to go even deeper what made this game take 10 fucking years? by no means is this game complex, the engine cant even handle a car going off the road. there are far more complex open world games from like 7 years ago. with far more combat systems. GTA 5 is ten times more complex then this. you don't even press a button and are able to combos or different attacks. you hold a button.
And if the story and characters were gonna turn out to be this lame 5-6 years ago after the first guy quit there is no way this shitty script took that long. They didn't even have enough time to do clean up on the fucking game either? even after all those demos? does their engine just plain suck or unoptimized ? What do they even call it? Gilgamesh is great and his true potential lies when you unlock his TMR. Focus on leveling him up. Arc is the 2nd best mage out now but is outclassed by Exdeath who is easily pulled right now. Terra is a decent mage/healer. Everyone else you have is shit but I think Gilgamesh is good enough to start with by himself.

Is there a trick or some way to handle the targeting system better? holy shit this is fucking confusing. I was fighting one of the big giraffe looking fuckers and it let me target the head the body and legs seperately, I kept trying to lock on to the head but the fucking thing just spazzes all over and then when I manage to lock on it eventually just (I don't know why) auto locks off randomly and forces me to re-lock on. I usually end up targeting another giraffe that's full HP rather than the one weak one fucking off in the background.

For fuck sake how do I manage this shit

The problem I have with Luna is she never had any time to develop. Also, there are not enough backstory and any scenes with her to make the player feel emotionally invested with her character, you never get to know her struggles or what motivated her to do those actions. I feel like Tabata is trying hard to remake another Aeris, but the thing is, Aeris had a whole disc and she's actually a guest party member and until the end, she was important to the plot which is the opposite of Luna. They advertised her as the main heroine yet she only gets 20 minutes of screentime including flashbacks, she never became a guest party member even though Tabata said that she will at some point and most of the cutscenes with her in the past trailers were scrapped. It honestly feels like she's almost deleted in the game/story.

It's not exactly 100% clear, Noctis gives them a talk that makes it sound like he's expecting them to carry on without him but then the last shot is the three turning to face a bunch of monsters that are suddenly appearing behind them and the conversation he has with 'em is CLEARLY post-mortem.

I think it was just poor direction, honestly. They died while fighting whatever creatures were spawning to buy Noctis time to finish the ritual and deal with Ardyn, and the ambiguity was probably unintentional.

Also saw that they had a great bundle with 2 summon tickets/magic key/3 each of white magi/megacite for 300 Lapis. That's a steal.

Also 6* mats for 15000 gil(okay) and 30000 EXP for 20000 gil(do not get unless you want to level your units without explorations, plus we got the 100 gigantuars for Trochoid Gears). I only will spend event mats for the Gigantuars/Moogles(that DW hype since I will be getting it shortly, Excalibur is next alongside my farms for Save the Queen and Dualcast for Refia)/Tickets/Quartz/cheap 6* mats and maybe Attacker/Thunderfall for my Lightning for the giggles and the unique weapons.

Selling my karma off for cash is a good idea now.

People really underestimate how unimportant gil is. You'll have so much harder of a time getting the enhancement stones than you will gil.

Like, to the point that you will never even have to check your gil count before enhancing, because it will ALWAYS be enough.

Again, you will struggle to get enough stones to enhance even one of those units. Gil will be the absolute last of your concerns.

People are seriously overestimating the cost of enhancements. If you dedicate time/NRG to FP summons you can get WAY more than that with only minimal effort.

I got a shit ton of 6* mats for my future awakenings. My smallest amount of 6* mats is no less than 40.

Good thing that the characters I have to level for their eventual awakening to 6*(Chizuru/Agrias/Charlotte/Hayate) should be easy enough for the 6 months worth of dunes/events to level up.

Afterwards, I'll take advantage of the Gil snappers caves and the gil vortex for free cash/lapis.

If you like Final Fantasy games and have played some of the better ones, sure. It's got a novel set of systems and sub-systems and at the very worst it's worth it to watch the train wreck it becomes.

Lots of people like the train wreck as their favorite for a lot of the same reasons people like Twilight, too, so if you're into that sorta thing it was the romance of the decade in tweeny bop crowds.

PRO snappers is pretty good, an average of 100k gil for 30 NRG.
The rest is worth the 20 NRG to get 150 Lapis, at least.

But that's especially why you shouldn't be wasting a single point of NRG on gil yet. Acquiring it becomes EVEN MORE trivial with time, and you barely need it anyway.
You will never have gil problems, even if you enhance everything you can. Even if you don't pay attention to it.
