AQs are the best way to level since they have a 100% EXP bonus on them (take NPCs with you or get some friends to party up. They'll also give you some extra EXP). Stick to VH since it has a low cost (1 cap per run) and you can make more caps at higher risks (resets a week after the first run). Eventually; you'll need to make your HU main class since sub classes stop getting EXP at 55. Be sure to do your featureds so you can get keys (when one is about to expire; run all you have to make the most out of boosts).

You're doing fine on gear right now and Gix is a way to go for a good 13* weapon. As for units; I went for the gloam set since it was easy to get from one of the episode 3 matterboards. You can eventually keep farming UQ Amduscia and get Ray unit drops, or get premium and buy a Saiki set. Mother units will exist when her raid arrives.

As for affixes; you'll want S-ATK and PP, you can throw some HP on your units if you want it. Be sure to look up how to affix first and make use of the affixing simulator so you can avoid making a big mistake. Also, follow this rule: If it isn't 100%, you were asking to fail.

Not that I know of. As for matterboards; you need to sign into your character and pick the 1-3 matterboard option. You'll then have to go to what it wants you to do. Example: Go kill a certain mob and it'll drop the matterboard item, allowing you to progress further (some will require you to go to a cutscene tablet, you can skip the cutscene). It takes longer than EP4 story board to complete but you can see there's a bunch of rewards for doing it. Completing matterboards can give you a title that gives you a tri-boost or two.

If you want to speed up the grind of a matterboard a bit: Get the requirement and then end quest in your party menu.

You can get 2-layer pancakes from Pietro weekly for free if you have a Wanda. If you have 3 characters that can do the CO, you can get 3-layer in 2 weeks without wasting too much synthesizers. Otherwise, it might cost you a lot to make from scratch.

For candy box, just stick to basics.
Parfait 1 - Increase damage and PP cost (Necky)
Parfait 2 - Increase damage against bosses (Challenge Shop)
Vinculum-Spirita Candy - S/R/T-ATK +20, PP +2 (You can place 4 of these) (Pietro Jinga CO)
Optional: Roll for faster revive.
