Auto-titan perk is really bad. Just about any titan can solo kill an assault chipped auto-titan while taking next to no damage.

It takes a while to get good at fighting titans on foot, so there will be a long period of you playing where you will be completely useless and just fodder for the people in titans. After you get good you can choose not to call down your titan at all and still end the match with 3-4 titan kills, and it is pretty fun to take them down as a pilot.

Titan gameplay is really good though and it is where the majority of improvisation that makes this game really fun comes in, don't completely write it off.

Honestly it would be fine if
A. Electric smoke wasn't a guaranteed kill on anybody without phase shift and it was only punishing to pilots who didn't react fast enough
B. Tone wasn't the pilot slaughterer that she currently is

With phase shift it's pretty easy to bait out and get the battery after, but i needs some sort of change to make it more accessible to pilots.
For instance if using electric smoke took those points away from your total core charge I think this would make people think twice before automatically using smoke to clear pilots.

If you're on PC (and I'm assuming you are, since they're presumably killing you with it), the answer is to get better with the Charge Rifle.

It's a hitscan two-shot kill with infinite range. If someone decides to play keep-away and is a solid shot, you don't have much of a choice but to shoot back. You might be able to pull some sneaky shit with Phase Shift, but other than that both of your options for dealing damage have pretty slow projectile speeds and are difficult to aim--and relatively easy to dodge--from across the coliseum.

It's the meta. Most of the fucks you encounter you'll be able to demolish with just the EPG or even cooked frags, but if somebody knows what he's doing with the Charge Rifle he's going to shred you unless you play ball.

Yeah, the shield without the perk goes down pretty quickly. The perk lets it take twice the amount of damage, which I've found to be enough for most 1v2 encounters despite what other class Titans I fight, as long as I don't engage them too long, but enough to kill at least one of em.

You shouldn't have to install anything obscure, but you can do the classics: reinstall drivers (clean), make sure you try playing with proper fullscreen (not borderless), minimize things that use hardware acceleration (most things basically).

He's a bit tankier than Ronin, but stick to a similar playstyle. Scorch ambushes are hugely effective, dont just push lanes try to go around back, coordinate with your team so the enemy either goes into your thermite or enemy fire. Learn to arc shots over distance, and use the flame shield as much to block shots as to push people into your fire traps. Also, I never had any luck with the flame core, but I've seen it used well, probably just my timing.

It'd be good for attrition and bounty hunt. Hacked spectres in bounty hunt will wipe out an entire node of spectres which can be 7-8, and they'll just kill the rest of their drop pod of grunts and stalkers with their volts. they're supremely useful there, and for attrition they'll follow you around, even in a titan, to clear out ground troops/ai you miss as you walk around.

Well with 2/3 dashes and phase dash you could jump in, shoot and run away - if you attacked someone that had his back turned and was fighting someone else it works. If you take someone head on you're probably dead or at least doomed - you're more of a ninja than a knight.

So I picked this up today on xbone, having enjoyed the first game and so far it feels like dog shit. Everyone hides on the outskirts of maps or on roof tops with invis or those deployable shields instead of going fast, and the most of the maps have so much open ground it encourages their slow campy style. And it gets even fucking worse when they call in titans, they will all use the one with a deployable shield and once again huddle in some fucking corner. Am I just having bad luck? I'm doing pretty well each game but I'm having next to no fun doing it, I hardy get any fast paced run and gun fights, just little bitches sitting around. Thinking about getting a refund desu.
