The thing about Crowfall is that they aren't solely funded by kickstarter, it's mainly just a platform for them to take donations. It's not as if no company has ever done something like taking donations or having preorder rewards.

Do you even know why it should be a red flag in the first place? It's because usually projects that want crowdfunding are just scams of useless products or people that will never deliver. On the other hand, this project raised millions of dollars just from the crowdfunding and they've written pages and pages of shit on the game and the plans they have and are actually making an effort to make sure we know they're serious about making the game.
All other crowdfunded MMOs have just been one guy in his basement asking for thousands of dollars to make a game that he will never be able to deliver by himself. This on the other hand is a company of people who have experience in making games and are asking for crowdfunding money to actually run their business and create an international game. That's as legitimate as I can probably think of.

I have high hopes for it honestly and I might ending up backing it too. They seem very serious and the way it seems, it will be worth it even if the game isn't as great as expected. After all, people think BDO is disappointing and never lived up to the hype but it's still successful and is decently fun to play.

just got giath's helmet and a liverto box, is it worth upgrading this shit by myself?
I have 100 weapon/armor stones like 40mil and no gear upgraded past +5 while using the rental weapon

You'll want to keep the helmet. Do liverto to tri first before you upgrade that though. Use other livertos with artisan's memories to repair the liverto and save all your memory fragments for the boss gear, and whenever you don't have money you can put your black stones in your other gear. It's just my advice though, do whatever you want. Remember the tax man will get a nice cut if you sell the helmet, and when you eventually want it again you'll have to pay a premium, maybe 2-3x that 95m. Liverto doesn't need frags anyway so you'll have something to use them on, too.

Yeah, it's most likely due to the loading screen being long. Try closing out some processes that are using up memory and try again. You can reopened them afterwards.
It happens to me all the time because I have a toaster and this game has some really shitty optimization. It takes on average 5-10 minutes or more of waiting to get to the main menu and then load in (successfully) and I usually get disconnected immediately after I load in.

It gives some health potions so no it's nothing good. You get 80 contribution points for all the quests you did including the one you get to open the chest so it's not a total waste. Plus you get to read things about the valkyries (Or not since I'm sure you didn't read anything)
