not saying everything has been horrible. i've legitimately enjoyed creator and creator savage. none of the dungeons have really been bad except the 3.3s. mhach is pretty entertaining most of the time.

however, they've put out even less shit than before while grubbing for more and more money. the shit they do put out, half of it is bad or in that 'almost good' category like potd or seize or the new wolves den. maybe its not 100% bad because if it was, i wouldnt be playing it anymore, but it could be better and WAS better at one point.

i specifically mentioned verminion over the races because it was a part of 3.1. 3.1 was a massive slap in the face to the community. the dungeons were alright and thordan is arguably the best primal fight ever but that was it. that yoshi even acted surprised and said he needed an extra month and thats what got shit out? fuck. I actually had fun with LoTA and that its mechanics will still ruin your day if people are stupid. VA was almost ST tier in that it was meaningless right from the start.

As an aside, i find 2.3 to be the worst patch. ST was god awful at release. Hunts are a cancer that has never gone away. Ramuh was good i guess but can't carry a whole patch. The dungeons were pretty ass too. whenever i help newfriends open their 50 roulette i always balk when i get to the 2.3s. fuck SVHM.

that aside it was a boring rehash of earlier fights

potd isn't bad. its not good either though. its incredibly boring. maybe the post 100 levels are better i haven't done them because the first 100 were so bloody disappointing. it was more fun duoing it but after awhile it just became a boring chore of dodge the mobs.

how the fuck was aquapolis good? at any point? it was niice getting rewards from it but at no point it was fun. playing with friends is fun on its own regardless of what you are doing.

How to make POTD fun times:

>Put it in duty finder, and enforce regular group comps
>You can still make unique comps if you queue as a fixed group
>Scale to the amount of players in the group
>All lots of interactable objects all over the place like you'd see in Darkest Dungeon. Some are trapped, some give buffs, some have little items like gil bags
>Bags and bodies on the ground you can look
>Levers and floor tiles that open secret treasure chambers
>Make traps visible by default
>Mimics can now be stunned/silenced
>Some floors have random roaming mini bosses that are incredibly dangerous, but don't chase forever
>Take the camp system from Darkest Dungeon too
>Sanity can now be measured and if your group doesn't chill or use certain pomander members will start to go insane and 'see' monsters that only they can attack or be attacked by, and some monsters that are illusions only to them

it has no merits on its own besides as a vehicle for playing with friends who cant/wont play above the level of the average DFer. it is not good content because its more open to people who are bad at games or not more serious minded players or whatever. it is disqualified because the challenge of the combat is even more meaningless than your daily ex roulette but cannot be sped up in any way because of the shitty ilvl sync and the huge delay between encounters because of poor luck and travel time. waiting and going back to town for more maps and going to the same map location over and over again is in no way engaging or fun.
