There's really no point to the argument to begin with. Asriel agreed to a terrible plan, backed out before doing tossing the entire world into ruin and died for it.

He awoke in a way no creature should, locked in a body that's not his own, missing vital things that define a monster. He was a scared child crying out for his parents, neither of whom were there. He proceeded to try and kill himself, but couldn't go through with it and came back, discovering a godlike power. He tried to use it for good, with no strings attached, but with no one to connect to, nothing to drive him, and no consequences, he cracked. But he couldn't even keep that going forever and in the end just resigned to the passage of time.

By the end of the game, he resigns once again. He gives up the power that would have restored him and allows everyone to live on. No death that he caused remains in effect, nothing he did as Flowey remains. He could easily just waltz out with Frisk, but doesn't see himself deserving of it.

You can say you don't forgive him, that he should die, but it isn't really needed. He wants nothing, he resigns himself to isolation and slow death over the corpse of his dead sibling. The only person who could really condemn him further would be Frisk, since he's the only one who knows everything.

So the rest just comes down to whether you feel forgiving or vengeful. He doesn't forgive himself, so really either Frisk takes him up, or he dies, slowly and deprived of everything. Or have Gaster kill him, like skull did, it makes about as much sense at that point.

Personally, Flowey is one of my favorite characters, but it's pointless to try and pretend like just because resets happened, he didn't actually do the things he has. Especially since he's perfectly fine with not being forgive, his concern was still just for Frisk to have a good life.

With that said, even if he thinks of himself as irredeemable, it comes down to Frisk. Or hell, even Papyrus. Either one of them may approach Flowey after TP and as to what happens, is anyone's guess. Flowey can send them away, or join them, that's really not my call to make.

Only think I don't want to consider is him just dying alone down there. Even if it's a quick death by lava or whatever, practically anything is better than the slow death of deprivation.
