I can generally grind with them and either win or at least keep up if I can get some draw going with Soul Conversion. Themis isn't often an issue since Lord of the Flies and Death's Breath can help you stabilize. I feel like it depends on how early they can snowball with Elana honestly. I'd offer more insight on Storm Haven but I don't really play against it often for whatever reason. Try to avoid playing Hell's Unleasher on curve though, especially if you're on the play. Wait for those Evo points to run out, be on the look out for early Blackened Scriptures. If you're able to hit your Conversions the matchup will be a lot more bearable just by virtue of you having more options.

You can't balance cards in a vacuum. You need to consider the context of what decks play the cards and how effective they are at doing so. Roach is overpowered because it enables an already powerful deck to go significantly further in terms of power, without Vania aggro blood wouldn't even exist, shes the only reason its run at all.

Basically. Vania isn't deserving of a nerf, even if she is "op" in a vacuum, because there doesn't exist any way in which you can run her that gives that deck an unfair amount of power. With roach, you certainly can. Which is why roach should be nerfed but Vania shouldn't.

Balance shouldn't be made around Take Two. Flute is a shit card outside Take Two and you have to make your entire deck around it to make it work, if you make it limited then it's pretty much unuseable. A limited Burial Grounds would be fucking worthless and nobody would run it when you could just use any other card that gives shadow. A limited Conjuring Force would need precise timing to make it work so it might as well be a spell instead of an amulet if it would be limited.

Trail has been pretty popular lately in master rank DShift decks in general, just because another 2 cost card that spell boosts and draws helps to get the DShift combo off earlier, especially if you would run a slow card like Fire Chain instead. It also makes the deck better in the mirror match.

For that deck especially it's another card that can spellboost Emmylou early to get her out for 0 cost as soon as possible against aggro. I guess running 3 golems and 1 trail or 2 Emmylous would be fine too.
