It makes no sense to waste Loveca for an SR, considering anyone with teams good enough to T1/T2 already have full SR teams and many have full or close to full UR teams. Also I've calculated it and at my level (~150) T2 in an event gives a greater reward/loveca than scouting, if you convert the rewards into a 'universal currency' of blue tickets and treat a blue ticket as 1/25 of an UR card. It should be even more favorable for people at higher levels, because 1 loveca results in a greater LP gain.

You are confusing whales (around 2% of the user base in most games) or insanely lucky people with regular players.

For reference I have 2 2XX ranked accounts, played basically since EN started, rarely missed a login bonus and FC'ed most songs in the game... Idolized SR event cards are still useful for some of my teams, specially now that you need 6 teams.

Outside of that, some people just like the idolized card and it's far faster to use some gems than save the tickets for a proper idolization.

Anon, I was able to get a full idolized SR team with a few URs by the time I was ranked 100 and I only spent about 100$ a month on the game. I hardly doubt that is whale territory, I am sure the average player who tiers is not f2p, and probably spend around 50$ a month. That, coupled with login bonuses, idolizations, and rewards should get you to the point where event SRs are no longer useful to have.

I still stand by the belief that even if statistically, the payoff is marginally better, it's not worth the loss of control of scouting and work to grind so hard.

Pretty much this. As a whale myself, I can tell you that when your team eventually gets strong enough, getting event SR's is kinda hit and miss with regards to usefulness compared to normal SR's.

Take the Zura from this EN event for example. Why would I want a card that grants 285 every 22 notes with a 38% chance, when my Magician Nico who leads my smile team (My smile team has no UR's yet) Has a 66% chance every 25 notes to increase my score by 195? (This also assumes you haven't leveled up the skill, which I have.(

Aside from wanting a member for their art, the most useful event SR's are perfect locks. (5% of the time, the score cards are complete shit.

Just to expand this post.

There is a power creep that also affects event cards, as an old player some of my idolized non event cards are outclassed by newer event cards.

Also, (at least before the update) 50 gems would get you most of the time 1 single SR card, that in most cases will be weaker than an idolized event SR card. While those same 50 gems would get you at least 5 idolized event SR cards. (Naturally this varies a lot from event to event)

With the improved drops and increased amount of gems available, the previous point could be considerably outdated, however, you could easily compromise a % gems to powerup those teams RNG is not helping with.

I should start playing this game soon, it looks kinda fun.

I'll be honest, if I could spend that amount of money in the game I would.

Events are kinda fun to play since they are an entertaining challenge (sometimes it gets sour, though). However, you are correct, at some point they are going to become rather useless, at least from an effective point of view. Not to mention that thanks to the stickers you can now "easily" idolize SRs... and since its easier than ever to score the event card, tiering becomes less useful.

Fun game, surprisingly addicting. But play it if you like rhythm games (initially I didn't like it, but it's kinda addictive to see your own improvement), the collecting side of it is just no viable for most players.

I also like the music... so that helps a lot.

Totally addicting. This game is fun, cute, generous, colorful, and has tons of songs. Also fun because it involvees strategic team building and has many events in which you can compete with other players, earn rewards and cards, and play new song! I, personally have a talent for this game, having being good with my hands. But you dont even have to be super good to have fun and move up in the game. The voices are the same from the anime which is great. And this game is cool enough to regularly give rewards for logging in, playing songs, scouting, ranking up, ranking in events, etc. You dont even have to purchase any love gems if you dont want. There are so many ways to gain them. Save up and youll be happy! Download and unless you dont like cute, musical fun, you won't be sorry. There's literally no reason not to get it. Once you get used to the game, you may get addicted too! EDIT- I no longer have any problems with the new update. Works fine for me. Thnx for adding more EX songs regularly!

I like SS' attribute system, idolization system, more generous gacha system, the select-a-SSR (UR equivalent) ticket promos, the daily paid roll promos, and double SSR rate promos. And I prefer SS' asymmetric charts over SIF's overly symmetrical charts.

SIF does have the blue tickets, which I do miss, and the 4x song system is more forgiving in SIF, so it's not completely one sided. Oh and SS also has a ton of loading screens the SIF avoids. And of course SS' limited gachas are terrible.
