Awareness is generally more important. The hitboxes are very forgiving, especially at close range. Most long-range champs don't have hitscan weapons though, so you need to know how to lead. Even then, you can do decently with any character with mediocre aim.

Nah. Poppy kills aren't even possible in many maps. And I've noticed that sometimes they don't even count if someone was hitting the enemy when I steal the kill.
Also I play BK more like a flanker than a damage dealer. I jump around and pick off their damage dealer. Taking out the tank is easy once the fucking Cassie and Kinessa are out.

The good matches pay off imo. Just look at the points and all. I was the Fernando, and the map was actually Serpent Beach.
There were comebacks everywhere, ults everywhere, damage going on, flanks doing flanky business, tanks doing tanky business, supports doing healy business. The match was so perfectly balanced and tough I had my heart racing the whole time. For the tiebreaker, it was a battle of attrition. Everyone was on cap, Ying was flanked again, they were being peeled away from cap, and both the ally Evie and I tanked the enemy Skye's ult. Several moments later, we won.

I would be lying if I wasn't tense during those final capture.

Nah, I heal on point whenever I can. I never go too far away so that I can see what's going on on the point. However Pips heal has a rather long cooldown and heals only 1k. Pips ulti sometimes works sometimes does without absolutely any reason as to why it wouldn't work. Poppy Bombs sometimes propel you sometimes they don't. Sometimes they propel the enemy sometimes they don't. Cassies arrow hitbox are sometimes normal sometimes as wide as the map itself.

And taunt voice command doesn't work sometimes. I just wasted 1200 gold just to get Illuminated III and realized that I still don't see Skye until she's in melee range, while I could see invisible Sha Lin miles away. Fucking hell.

The whole point of Buck should be that if you get close to him, you're dead... not that he is extremely great at getting close to you. They should buff his shotgun and nerf his jump, so that his main role is as defender of the point paired with a good tank. Right now he's like an extremely annoying pursuit dog, that would be completely ineffectual except that it's almost impossible to kill him.

The implications is that you should level good champions before playing competitive.
Getting all the frontlines and at least most of the supports should be a pre-requisite. Even if you don't play them, being able to pick them for other people is useful.

Still, considering that 20% isn't that amazing and that if you for some reason don't have to get Cauterize (or wrecker, if your damage dealers ACTUALLY are smart enough to get it) you will get a straight up 20% reload speed reduction that is UPGRADABLE, and OVERRIDES the card reload speed, it's definitely not the best.
