Alright so I finished BLUE REVOLVER© easy and here's my valuable opinion.

Difficulty is a bit off - easy has the same bullet density of normal but with autobomb, and the autobomb sucks because you waste your whole slot of bombs. So there's no reason to play easy.

Also the 2nd girl is by far the superior choice, if you don't play with her you're gimping yourself.

The lack of powerups is a bit boring and the graphics are pretty bad. The announcer voice is cute tho.

Fucking this. And even then, if you're not using Val's Arc special, you're *still* gimping yourself. Literally every other ship/weapon configuration in this game is completely worthless compared to it.

It's not that it's a bad game. It's actually really good, IMO. It's just that having all these different ship/weapon combos, with one that's objectively the best, is kinda dumb. Whoever swung the balance stick missed the special weapon choices.

I watched that replay, he's just pretty good at dodging and the way he played suggests that he had some foreknowledge of what to expect, i.e. he had crude routes to follow here and there. I don't know what you mean by not improvising but he had good adaptability imo.

All these skills you can learn - crude routing goes without saying, dodging comes with more dodging, adaptability can ultimately be acquired from having experience with various situations.

Well, I'm the guy who played CC with Type Z a total of 3 times (though I practised with Type III) and cleared on my third. If I shared my replay it'd look mostly like his replay, just a lot of crap decisions, doing the bare minimum not to get actually walled and dodging danmaku that wouldn't have been in the way at all had the routing been elegant. To put such performance on a pedestal would imply not only low, but perhaps also misguided standards. The real pros are those with the best routes, and you're doing fine there.

Iconoclast had a really good run in stage 5, which is what I'm partly still struggling with. Especially the last part of the stage is where I always fuck up, but it can give a shitton of points.

I think if I manage to do this part well and practice the TLB more, I wouldn't just be able to clear the game but also beat his score.

usually what happens to me at that point is that the bullets that spawn from the worms bodies as you actually destroy them leave me trapped between the homing shots from the red descending balls and im pretty much forced to use bomb

and right after that i just cant get the lock ons to lock on the medium flowers and i get caught off guard by those medium ships almost every time even when i know they will spawn

Today i played 1.5 original max , no pb but better at stages 1 and 2 now. I should break 500 mill soon.

Blue Revolver is lots of fun but I'm not sure what pilot to go with. Mae moves faster but I don't know what advantage the other one has (stronger shot?) but I've been picking her just for that lock on shot device. It seems really good but laser or Mae's missiles might be better for survival. Are any of the devices preferred for survival?

They move at the same speed. Mae's Laser is pretty good, the cluster missiles are worth a look too, but the arc lock on weapon is just too good.
