Why is Shaman so unfair?

I'm trying to climb as Zoo but every time I face a Shaman I could as well concede.

I honestly don't see any point trying to climb in this meta. It's absolutely ridiculous how a design team of a game of this size can let this happen.

Team 5 is incompetent as fuck and should be fired. I hope Gwent will be good.

That Jade Behemoth is a good card. Just imagine that you played 4 jade golems before this, it means this will summon a 5/5 so it will be a 8/11 for 6 mana + it's a taunt.

Let me explain something to you then

There's something called a "parasitic mechanic" where a set of cards only interact with themselves

One example of that are allies from mtg. We just had in zendikar cards that would only be better if you played more of them. But even then, they could stand on their own

Now you look at C'thun cards and Jade golem cards. They are shit in a vacuum and after they rotate out they will only see play with themselves

Now look at Ninjutsu, they stand on their own and there is even an archetype around one of those cards

Even though affinity was pretty cancerous back then, the cards on their own also stand pretty alright without others of the kind, they just ask for an artifact deck

About equipment and souldbound I'm not gonna even bother since those interact badly with each other

I ain't saying MTG doesn't have its pretty share of parasitic mechanics, but even then, they are a lot better than HS parasitic mechanics, because Team 5 tends to push the shit out of stuff they think its underpowered

it had a few problematic cards which made the set look bad but on the whole it was one of the best expansions yet
it successfully introduced its main feature mech decks which were actually fun, the flavor was the best of any expansion, it had a ton of interesting cards like fel memer, echo of medivh, etc. it made the class balance much better pulling paladin and priest out of the gutter, introduced new playing styles with oil, mechs, etc.

it was an excellent expansion

compare it to tgt which was notoriously bad, WotOG which while good completely failed at addressing many of the problems gvg and naxx aimed to solve

I have to say I got an excited feeling from it, I didn't get from Gadgetzan. The randomness was novel at that time, the cards were fun yet easy to grasp and felt like good power level and their was an intriguing legendary in that Trogg.

For me my least favorite was probably Naxx overall, TGT at least gave us tons of new mechanics even if they sucked and Justicar ended up sucking ass but it was still cool to get a new hero power.
