PErsonally, I always felt that the 'clash mash' system in most games is a poor idea speaking as somebody who always out mashes other people.

I feel like a 'wager' system like in Injustice is better. A beam clash results in wagering ki, while a melee clash wagers stamina

Game mechanics? I don't really care desu. I think the fighting system is perfectly fine the way it is (aside from the lack of beam clashes).

What I want to see is changes to the presentation side. More detailed character creation (body sliders WHEN?), WAY more environmental devastation that doesn't just fade away (seriously, even by the Namek saga you had people get shoved through entire cliff sides), clothing and water physics, all of that jazz. The game plays beautifully now, but it doesn't get anywhere close to the actual series in terms of spectacle. We're all playing planet-busting level characters but there's no way you'd ever get that sense from the fights in-game.

Stages also need to be way bigger. Faster movement speed and faster-traveling projectiles to compensate. I want to be able to smash people through every standing rock formation in the wasteland. Probably won't get that until the next generation of hardware (PS4Pro/Scorpio don't count), but I can dream, damn it!

I need to improve on everything. I forget how to fight in PvP a lot of the time and don't know how to deal with a lot of the things people can do. I haven't put enough time in and I don't know if I'll ever be able to. Also, I need to finalize my gimmicky set so I can properly practice it. And that means grinding out PQs.

Basically, I wish I wasn't so busy all the time so I could stop being trash. It doesn't help that fembuus have so many advantages over other races and it feels like I should be able to do better than I am.

I can't deal with Ki specalists seeing as one combo from them without any stamina means death.

I seem to be able to out box people and do good follow ups but that is entirely based on my game performance. There have been times where frame dips and chugs would just cancel out a move or put me in another direction.

I am in extra salt mode and its blinding me to my mistakes. I practiced and practiced and I finally figure this shit out, my computer tells me to go fuck myself.

The only person I can reliable fight and win against is my Bush mate and that is because we always spar and fight so I can feel the moves they make without seeing them.

I feel like I'm decently good but can still only kind of keep up with the top-end players (the ones with 500+ matches are still untouchable for me).

The thing that gets me most is the way the footsies game plays out. I frequently get hit out of my step vanishes and side steps and it drives me fucking bonkers. I've started to play ultra-defensively in response. Keeping my distance, waiting for them to give me an opening, trying to force them to make a mistake by dashing and then not attacking.

I'm pretty good at capitalizing on my stamina breaks and closing out matches that way. Just need to get that footsies game down so I can build momentum. Waaay harder than it sounds...

1.) play as SSJ4 Goku

2.) get full ki (he has max charge so its easy)

3.stamina break the opponent

4.just use Super Kamehameha 3 times in a row because this fucker has 9 bars of ki and Super Kamehameha is fast so it pretty much combos into itself and the enemy can't do shit because they're stamina broken

5. free ~70 hit combo and a bunch of damage

Aubah's been learning new tricks with that death slicer and I still can't figure out how to counter Snoller that well. Lanu is still able to pull some tricks on me as well so i have to continuously watch out for them

Goku Black is severely underpowered in XV2. He would be a fucking god if he used his own Cac and ran Rise to Action and counters but he doesn't.

As for why black is underpowered..

Burst is pretty much the safer Kaioken Kamehameha, yeah. It's hard to hit-confirm though, since you pretty much have to hit the second button press right as it lands.

Perfect Kamehameha is the longer charging, more powerful version of Super. Use it if you're confident you can land it on stamina broken targets.

Pomatio or Kinnizu, easily. Possibly Buula. All three are some of the best PvPers I've played against and I've learned a lot from them.

First I feel like there needs to be something you can do while stamina broken. I feel like I'm having the most fun when I'm in a back and forth battle. Not just getting a 30 hit combo on someone while they just sit there. And vice versa. It feels like the game drops from a fast intense fight to just fighting with waiting periods every so often.

Next beam struggles.

And last a HUGE one for me. DODGING. You know in expert missions where the boss will do that crazy fast dodge and you can't get a hit off. Characters should be able to do it. It was one of my absolute favorite mechanics in budokai 3. And honestly it could totally be implemented by just tapping the guard button at the cost of some stamina.

Also this is not really mechanics but I really hope on the next one they focus more on 1v1s. I get so turned off from parallel quests because honestly I'd rather play through some sort of arcade mode or tourney mode.

What are the best Attributes to do up?
I've already got 125 in Max Health.
I'm also using a +5, +5, +5, -5, -5, -5 QQBang.

Is Rakshasa's Claw any good? I have a strike Namekian and Janemba is easily my favourite movie character but Dimension Blade isn't exactly the best and I have been grinding this goddamn PQ for the claw for ages now and I'm just wondering if I'm going to be disappointed anyway.

It's fairly decent, not the most damaging attack, but it's great for holding foes in place, and you can direct the sword beams slightly to catch folks that try to side step it. You can also stop it after any of the five slashes, or go for a 6th which teleports you to the opponent. The last hit is easy to block if they expect it though so be warned.

If you want, probably better to dump it all into one. Boost Basic Attack to 125 as well, since you need that regardless of the other one you choose.

How do you guys get better at PvP in this game? The AI is pretty easy to beat and it seems so hard to find a balanced match where you don't just get stomped every time or stomp the other guy
