Tanks don't have damage that's proportional to the amount of effort it takes to kill them. Even Reinhardt beats you to death in three hits, whereas you need three people to kill him. Tanks are also a very confused role because they're defined by bulk. D. Va, Winston, and Roadhog could all easily be reclassed as offense heroes. Rein and Zarya hold chokes better than any defense hero. If their DPS is above average and mobility (usually) isn't a problem, where's the incentive to pick anything else?

This game will be competely fucking dead in 6 months.

I've never seen a game fall so hard, so fast.

Just a lot of basic tips like stick with your team, don't overextend, try to coordinate your ults and don't just blow them when you're by yourself. Try out all the heroes on the practice range if you want so you can get their abilities down and you could also use custom games to explore the maps if you want.

1. You're fucking around with your beacon and invis too much. Get behind people, shoot them in the back, get away. Stop playing her like you have to setup perfectly for every single fight, her SMG is great sustained midrange dps, use it.

2. Her hack does need a bit of a buff. Its a tad useless on anyone that isnt a tank or a healer hanging onto an ult. It shouldnt be interrupted by damage and needs a shorter cooldown slightly

Since you're new it's easy to get kills with D.va's ult since new people can't hide behind a post it will get harder once you play her for a long time.
Her shield can only eat projectiles, no beams and no melee and people can still hit you from the sides.

I do best with her on KOTH because there's a bunch of obstacles to use to juke people out.

Tracer's focus is balancing being aggressive and blowing your load in peoples' faces vs. getting a rhythm for Blink and Recall so you can survive and retreat if necessary.

She's iffy for defense. She doesn't have any skills to stop and control enemies, like how McCree's flashbang. She's amazing at contesting the point to stall for your team and can get back to it faster, but that's not the situation you ever want to be in for defense, and would benefit more from in KOTH.

Also, I find high sensitivity to be better with her since you'll be moving around so much.

There is no such thing as forced 50. There's an inclination towards it when you near your skillcap, but it's not truly forced. I placed in gold and got to diamond as solo support. I'm plateauing at low diamond, because I'm not skilled enough to make it past that.

However, I do agree that bad teammates makes it hard to climb. At that SR you can't trust people to know what they're doing or be good at their characters, and you as support have the clearest view of the team.

Use your microphone. Ask people to get on and if they can hear you. Make callouts and remind people to stick in your line of sight so you can protect each other.

Don't be afraid to ask for the 2/2/2 meta. Doing something different works when the team accounts for it, but teamwork is down the drain at lower SR so 2/2/2 forces people to have more efficient teamwork. And make sure everyone is comfortable in their roles, because having a Soldier to counter Pharah is useless if he can't hit anything.

Channeling ults lock you out of your abilities, so hacking them completely stops the ult because there's nothing else to hack.
