I want to run DS games off my old acekard 2i, so I'm looking at this tool here:

It requires that I patch TWL_FIRM, and recommends rxtools for that. I never used rytools before—will that conflict with Luma? It sounds like a whole new CFW in itself.

NTR is acting weird on a9hlw/luma (latest firmware.) It seems to work only when it feels like it, most of the time it fails. And even if NTR CFW Selector says it's loaded and running, it still doesn't respond when I press Y and X

dont forget to update to the latest system firmware. and lastly. it takes a long time to streetpass with nintendo zones if you have lots of games that use streetpass. most nintendo zones have a bandwidth speed cap so thats an issue.
try a homepass relay should work much faster. it only takes second to sync for me and i have 20+ streetpass titles active.
also sometimes it does connect to nintendo zones but doesnt get any passes at all. i found that out while logging my homepass relay.
i really just use my notebook and run create_ap with a script that cycles mac addresses.

Trying to launch Decrypt9 on my N3ds using Luma Payloads, every time I try it just launches the home screen, not entirely sure why, Hourglass will launch when I press start, and I renamed the Decrypt9 to down_Dec9WIP.bin Not sure what is going on.

Hey I'm trying to copy my stuff over from my 32gb card to my 64gb card and keep receiving errors stating it can't read from the source. I'm using a9lh/luma. Is there more to do besides just copying and pasting or am I missing something? Stuff I copied over from my old card has been saved on my computer and I'm transferring it over to my new card. I already formatted it to fat32 and so on.

If you find that you don't need emuNAND anymore, go ahead and delete it. Just in case, make a sysNAND backup first through hourglass9 if you haven't already.

Luma can help some games use the extra hardware to have some games run better. If you care for it, you can also stream it to your computer. N3DS arguably has a better screen. Even without considering CFW, it will allow you to leave some games through the home menu without having to always soft reset the N3DS. On O3DS, if you were to leave Smash Bros., it would have to reset the game completely since the game didn't have enough hardware to handle both.

I don't remember the DNS to stop the update message. If you need to slow it down for a bit, I think if you go into settings and change the month to January 1st, 2000 and the time to 00:00, it should slow it down for a bit and give you enough time to run the browserhax. Other than that, you won't need the DNS either way once you make your way through the guide.

From what I can see the file size is the same. Is a cmd prompt really necessary when you can just view the size through properties? Windows explorer doesn't always read the correct size sometimes, but the command prompt always will. I know it's weird, but that's why I mentioned it.

I don't want you to start over with a blank slate, but I'm not sure what else could be causing it. I have an odd alternative to test. Run ftpd on your 3DS, connect it to your wifi, use whatever utility (winscp works), and then copy the files you can't easily copy through it and place it directly on your sd card. Depending on your wifi speed and how much stuff you have left, it might take a bit, but it could work.

In order to downgrade from 11.0-11.2 (until slowhax is out but slowhax won't work for 11.2 you need to have an already hacked 3ds, you'll buy fieldrunner (or whatever) install an exploit save using hourglass9 (since dsi saves are in the nand) install steelhax (optional can use oothax or ninjhax, etc.) and preform a system transfer (hacked 3ds -> unhacked 2ds/n3ds/whatever)
