Gumi messed up giving us the BF two banner instead of the BF one banner since Global is nowhere near as ready for Maxwell as JP was. Not to mention that after that banner was the gacha base change.

Nah, I have an account that is pretty developed. However, between all the catch up and issues I had with the game that drove me to quitting in the first place (Fuck you Bartz), getting back into it would be too frustrating.

I feel you there, and this is coming from a week three guy who's been on top of everything since almost forever. Those two alts I have basically just survive on mad Orb Exchanges now and getting lucky on black mage draws, but they're nowhere near ready to take on end-game tier shit, usually just gimmick fights like Nightmares where I can afford to be really limited with the skills I bring.

The Curada nightmare dungeon is probably the biggest offender, I sacrificed a ton of Holy orbs for honing on that one and I'd still completely zero out on skill charges if I didn't have an autistically tacticool battle plan.

Assuming you're fighting a human (the only real reason to bring CoD along), the damage output curve looks like pic related. Lockefags on suicide watch (it's still AMAZING for DW though).

Honestly, I think I've only finished like maybe two full events and one was a XIII event way back.
I only have two BSBs in Bartz and Terra. Only other SB of real note is Shout and I've only gotten 3 5* abilities.

So it's actually better for any ATK value above 265 (almost impossibly low).

Assuming you have diabolos, it's better for any ATK value above 321.
Assuming you have both diabolos AND the Maneater materia, it's better for any ATK value above 377.
And lastly, assuming you have a fully enhanced CoD, it's better for any attack value above 433.

So it's still generally inferior in most cases, although it can pull ahead at the end there. It's only ever a marginal difference, though. Certainly not worth a TM grind without Dual Wield.

In fact, Sunday Funday is coming up in a few hours so you could do that and make some headway on leveling characters you don't have at a high level yet. There's no shame in expending as many Growth Eggs as you have on hand for them either, since getting a solid A-team is critical firsthand.

Also you're practically going to get Major Orbs at around the same rate as the rest of us so there's no rush or need to sweat it. Just take things at your own pace and clear what you can and it'll come in time.

It's not enforced too much unless it's, like, the White Mage nightmare, and even then usually everything short of the actual Nightmare can be dealt with normally. If you can handle D120 stuff though you can get MC2 lodes out of that in events. For now though getting Terra to 65 is enough for one Sunday in and of itself.

Only the actual nightmare boss uses the gimmick. The bosses leading up to them are increasingly harder bosses with normal realm synergy. They are upping the difficulty in newer nighmare dungeons, but earlier ones aren't so bad.

Right now, they're only used for crafting Magic Keys. I don't know if they're used to craft anything else in the future.

The only way to get them (aside from event shops) is a 20% chance when crafting an ability.
They're worth getting if you have extra Karma so you don't have to spend hours crafting abilities for a chance to get them.

He naturally enters a third phase at around ~30% HP and all his attacks are RES-ignoring at that point, you're supposed to just blitz him down then and probably save the bulk of any group heal SBs you have until then to survive it as much as possible. If your party isn't hasted at that point you're definitely not surviving it.

you can use all 3, CoD is a strong character.

when you fuse the same units together, the remaining character will gain whatever trust % they had +5%

eg: 2 CoDs both with 10% trust
one is fused into the other
the remaining one now has 25% trust

basically having multiples will make the grind to mastery a lot quicker.

5 of the same character will only need 16% trust each to get 100% when all fused together.

Garland is much better than CoD as a physical attacker.

Even without accounting for ability enhancements. He has lower whale potential in GL thanks to no doublehand stacking, but he's not to be messed with.

Dark Destroyers banner isn't as trash as the BF banner 2(1 in global) was. 2 out of the 3 on-banner obtainable are great and if you happen to draw the 4*/5* unit on banner you get great TMRs to access as well.

I got CoD after 4 pulls on the first day. Daily was Shadow and 3 tickets net me my 5th Mustard/2nd Tree/CoD.

I might have to do multiple first day pulls on the banners of units I want simply because my luck is better when I do the banzai pulls in the beginning rather than the end.

I want to get into mobile Final Fantasy games because there will be times when I'll literally be having nothing else to do and I still love some entries in the series despite being continuously disappointed for years.

So, basically, what are good specifically made for mobile FF games? Record Keeper and Brave Exvious might be fun.

If you can , Mobius is probably, imho, the best of them - It's done directly by SE, it seems to be extra friendly in terms of currency drops and what you get, and the randomization of what you get is more limited than others (Job Draw isn't 100% random, you remove what you get from the pool, and even with Ability Cards you get a bonus if you draw a double). In addition, it feels the most like an actual game to me, a game on it's own.

Brave Exvius I'm enjoying but I'm not sure how much I can recommend it. I highly recommend you re-roll until you get a high-tier team, since the game is a vastly different game depending on who you get and it's entirely possible to get fucked even if you spent 100 dollars on the game.

Record Keeper is harmless and fun, imho. It's relatively easy now to get the 'meta' weaponry, with Ramza's Shout sword now in the Keeper's Choice, and it's got a fuckton of mythril available just through the story missions that I've never needed to spend money to make enough for a 10 draw.
