Goro isn't very smart, he's pleb enough that he doesn't learn Maragidyne so far into the game.
I soloed him on challenge with a lv99 joker and he's surprisingly easy since he follows kinda the same pattern as Shidou. First phase tetrakarns himself and spams physical attacks left and right and second phase makarakarn and spams magic.

I'd honestly say it's easier to beat him solo than with a party. If you've got a Persona with Repel Phys/Light/Dark/Fire, he'll hit himself for a lot of damage while only being able to hit you with Megidolaon and Laevateinn (and by the time he uses those, you should be able to take him out pretty quickly).

He seems to break his pattern sometimes if you bring other party members. Doesn't seem to happen anywhere near as often if you fight him solo.

He's a lot more of a threat if he can get Desperate (and to a lesser extent Heat Riser) up. As long as you're not playing on Easy/Safety, he starts doing enough damage to oneshot Joker unless you've increased your max HP or use a Persona with really high defense. Really makes me wish he'd use those skills without downing someone, it'd make the fight a lot more fun (and less easy to cheese).

I HAVE AN IDEAD FOR PERSONA 6:

Life or Death situations!
I got the idea from finding out that you dont actually steal the hearts of the victims in P5.

Before i started playing the game i assumed stealing there hearts would kill the antagonist and thats why Potter-kun gets locked up and tossed in jail.
I feel the game would have been so much better(than it already is) if you actually faced consequences for your actions.

I think since persona 6 will be the 6th game and the number 6 ties into 666 and all that other religious and apocalyptic themes, that the next game should actually delve into letting enemies or allies live or die.
If you save an ally they can join the team and if you let them die you lose them throughout the duration of the game.
P6 would have to dive deeper into the whole choices based gameplay and could require devs to go deeper into personas man aspect of enjoyment(story) while keeping the same persona gameplay more or less(5's is so good it be hard to go back to previous installments).

I haven't really played 1-3 so im not sure about there themes, but i think life and death could be a good addition

Even if Yusuke was Gay he'd still be my favorite character, but i hardly think he's straight gay.
I assume most of you are refering to how hes had no interest in Ann after Ryuji says him and joker came to make sure hes not a pervert and he said the that kid of mentality is "weird" to him and the church scene with joker, but that's just because he's an Artist type.

As a former artist type(before i gave up drawing for games in my spare time) i have been around a lot of people much similar to him(hell even i share some of his opinions that he displays thru out the game) and Art people tend to be very comfortable with there sexuality and the human body in general.

He showed just as much interest in painting Ann naked as he did Joker in the church.

If Yusuke lust after anything, he Lust after his art.

I don't have much confidence in Harlacher's performance. I'm don't think that all English voices have to be exact matches to their Japanese voices, so I'm not against change. Still, casting and performances that would be bad even if the game was cast in English first are going to push me to the Japanese track real quick. I'm scared for the twins, too.

It's more inconsistent than Vanilla P4. Chie's voice might fit better in Golden (though the acting's just as bad as the original's), but Kanji and Adachi's new lines are pitched a lot higher, while Namatame gets a new voice actor for his new lines that sounds nothing like the old one. Teddie sounds pretty okay, but that's largely because he was clearly trying to match the old performance very closely. He gets a whole lot more shrill in the spin-offs, because he's making a performance from scratch in those cases.

Even Chie didn't quite fit into the rest of P4G's performances because she was so loud and over the top compared to everyone else, who had more subdued performances. Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that. That was literally because Atlus forgot to record those lines with Margaret's actress or ran out of time during the scheduled sessions, and just got Nanako's actress to fill in, since she was still booked. I can understand not wanting to pay for another 4-hour session to do a handful of lines, but the end result really suffered for it. They could've booked a new session and spent the remaining time going back over the old lines.

And yeah, Chie kind of clashes with the rest of the cast, no matter what version you're talking about. I know people keep spamming this video to decry any and all dubs, but it really showcases how bad she is:

I've seen some people who've played both versions say that Chie is supposed to be annoying, so it fits, but I think it's more "hollywood annoying." Meaning she's supposed to show some traces of annoying traits, so it makes sense when other characters complain about her, but without going all the way to become genuinely annoying.

Chie's supposed to sound spunky and loud and over the top, especially to contrast with the more reserved Yukiko when she's not in snrk mode, but the problem is Rise sounds like that in Japanese too, but Bailey played her in a deeper more reserved kind of voice as her neutral tone to better make her sound different from her idol persona (which is a great change, as Japanese Rise sounds fucking awful IMO)

As a result Chie sounds very different from all the girls and it's a notable clash especially considering she was the only one that was replaced in golden.

Because like in real life, people need hairstyles that flatter their face shape. You can have a big forehead and still look good. You just need a cut that draws attention away from it or makes it look more flattering. Haru doesn't try to do either, and I think it was a mistake for Soejima to primarily design her to look good in her thief outfit.

I dont find Chie as a "clash" from the other girls but more of a foil. Her naturally energetic nature is a good contrast from Naoto and Yukiko's character and becomes sort of like a secondary cheerleader. Quite literally in vanilla P4 since she's absolutely useless after Kanji.

She tries to force out a cheer at the very end of the game, fitting for personality like her, while getting shot down from the more reserved members. A good example of a foil.

They could, but then if they want to show any art, their only options would be either to spoil all of the art before the DLC goes live (I'm sure they'd need some ad cycle for it), or release another smaller art book afterwards, which doesn't make sense.

But 512 pages isn't unheard of, honestly. It's on the bigger end, but it's not like they're putting text on every page or trying to cram a ton of art in a small space. I'm guessing a lot of the art is going to get their own dedicated pages, and for a game with such a big dev cycle, I'm also sure that there's going to be a lot of art that didn't make it to the final game. But even if it didn't have a lot of art, it's not hard to fill those pages.

The Danganronpa Reload book has the exact same number of pages. It covered two games, granted, but it didn't have a ridiculous amount of art and ended up having a lot of fun details on the characters, which weren't revealed in the games themselves.

I think part of it might be due to a throwaway comment that I remember from in an informal interview of Kyle Hebert, which is (paraphrased) that if they don't say the line as directed, then they don't get paid.

So even if they do know how pronounce it correctly, they may be told to say something different by the voice director, or worst case scenario their knowledge is disregarded altogether, though I can't imagine the voice direction being that inflexible.

Did you hear it? It sounded like they did one take for each line and that was it because they needed to rush it to make their Valentine deadline despite that not being near enough time.

Apparantly between that and the text and the translation itself it caused enough drop in preorders that Atlus decided they wouldn't be able to sell on the name alone and gave them more time to actually work on it.

I feel like this shit happens because "can say Japanese words accurately" isn't how they judge the people they cast (which is baffling to me, but I guess you'd be shrinking the pool of actors you have to choose from even more). So Atlus would rather have a consistent but Americanized pronunciation of certain words rather than letting the actors who can't do Japanese pronunciation trip all over themselves and stand out. Or the reverse can happen, when somebody like Yuri Lowenthall pronounces words more correctly than everyone else and sticks out like a sore thumb for it.

Going after Goro would have clued Shido in that Joker was still alive and the thieves were onto him, which would have been bad because he could have easily just had Joker arrested again.

Unless they specifically went after him with the intent to kill him so he couldn't tell anyone (which is unlikely seeing as they were adamant about not killing anyone the whole game) and even then Goro's disappearance might have clued Shido in if it happened early enough.

Atlus USA will likely be tracking how many people download the DLC and if the numbers are good they'll consider it for future games. I personally felt dual audio was a much larger deal for P5 in particular since it's got such a great Jap cast, but it's still up to us not to fuck this up and get them to keep doing it in future titles.

Goro wouldn't have let that happen. He was adamant on being the one to take Shidou down and was against taking his heart in the first place. He only agreed to let the PT reform him as a last resort since he was about to die

It's pretty obvious this is why they're doing it as DLC.

Look at any of their tweets, threads about the dub, and comments on trailers for it - there were an overwhelming amount of people complaining about no dual audio.
We may now be seeing a number of dub-fags saying "but we didn't want this!" but they're all just mad about the delay, and Atlus USA are smart enough to see that too.
I guarantee they saw the big picture and went 'well shit'.
Given that it's also free, a tonne of people who probably have no plans to use it will still download it because they'll see "FREE DLC" and gush over it.

Since Goro seemingly wanted to let as many of the thieves live as he could by trying to convince Shido to put off worrying about the rest until after he'd won (and Goro had secretly ruined him) he might have agreed to make a deal with them and hide them from Shido until he'd done his thing.

Okay, so it's confirmed the artbook in the US Limited Edition is the same as the Japanese one.
So really, the US LE actually looks better than the Japanese one by quite a bit - and I say this as someone who imported.
