I unironically love the game and the state it is right now. Actual memedecks, netdecks which are not set in stone so every fucking time someone asks for the deck list he's going to get at least two lists, both of which are viable as fuck, tools to tech in, cool cards like Seraph, Dimension Shift or Path to Purgatory, the evolution mechanic, and the cool fucking limited format of take two. I love it.

I also almost never feel salty losing in Shadowverse because it's not literally decided on a coinflip like in some other CCG.

I do think the soft cap on turns is problematic, but that's only because combo decks are so prominent. Otherwise, I think the smaller HP pool and slots are great. Makes every play more important.

I don't know about the rest, but the speed of the game currently concerns me. Aggro and Face decks just seem like the best way to play many classes so far.

If there's one thing I don't like about Yu-gi-oh, it's that so many games are decided so incredibly quickly. I hope that as the game expands, duels last longer so that big boss cards like Leonidas and stuff become more prevalent or useful. I just prefer slower/longer games, personally.

Most of the stronger decks are tempo, combo, and midrange senpai.

Several important decks in the meta end the game via combo on turns 8-9. Seraph, DShift, PtP, hell, Tyrant and Blood Combos.

What this means for the meta is that decks which can't end the game by their own design before those go off are non-viable competitively even if they're solid otherwise.

Aggro and face being the meta for certain crafts has nothing to do with their builds being the best in a vacuum, it has to do with the fact that these decks are being forced to play under the combo kill decks which put limitations on the entire meta as long as they're relevant.
