Caligula got announced for localization like a week before Japanese release date. I mean God Wars isn't even out in Japan yet but we already have that confirmed to be localized with a LE. Demon Gaze 2 has been out longer than that but mysteriously hasn't been confirmed yet, even though the devs have talked about what their expectations are for worldwide sales.

Yeah, it's a direct continuation and characters are the same. Some things just exist in Operation Abyss, but in Babel they'll explain the history of what happened before and how they come into place.

For some details, the biggest system change would be having dual classes for each of the character.
Like, now your character can be a Paladin+Monk and will learn all the skills.

Personally I think the story is better this time round as well.

Aside from that, it's basically the same game but with general improvements everywhere.
In particular, this is also the first game they added in dialogue playback.

Still, it really is the same game for the base.

I got the LE of Dangan AE and Yomawari from them directly so far and I actually got Yomawari a day before it technically came out so I'd say they're fine.

That being said changing shipping addresses is nerve racking since when I was getting Yomawari they never updated the shipping address on the website even after I called so I was panicking for a good while, it worked out though at least.

I don't like the idea of a rating system being added to what is supposed to be an objective image.

If you had to do it, a simply thumbs up or thumbs down would be best imo, but no ranking would be preferred.

So my short impressions for Firis PS4 since I mostly see people only mention its buggy without giving more details about the game. I'm not that far in though, just got the first recommendation letter, so this may change later.

-No bugs so far after 1.02.
-Runs worse than Sophie, probably because more shadows and lighting. That said, the shadows sometimes look pretty bad especially in the afternoon, kinda disappointed.
-Starts really slow, even for an Atelier game, for story reasons.
-Getting recipe is kinda a pain and somewhat grindy, but the idea is nice I guess. It's more vague than Sophie which gives clear direction on what to do, but it also gives an option to use special points to learn recipes. Also some recipes can be purchased from books.
-Alchemy is okay so far. Ingredients selection matters more than, say, Dusk, probably equal to Sophie though I can see it being more complex later on. It's sure to become grindy since you need to not only level your alchemy level, you need to level the recipe as well.
-Hard mode is decently hard. Probably slightly above Sophie's hard, definitely harder than Shallie+ hard. At the very least I can't scrimp on usable items too hard like I usually do.
-Resource management feels quite significant compared to the last 3 titles, but admittedly that's because I don't know how long will it take me to pass the test so I don't know whether I need to hurry or whether I still have plenty of time. Probably will be insignificant once the time limit is removed.
-UI is nice. Sophie's UI was perfect for me in most except that they removed the battle stats menu from Shallie. Firis added that back in, but most of everything else is like Sophie. They also added a minor but nice rain effect when you open menu during a rain.

Each time you make a recipe, you gain some kind of EXP for that type of recipe. For example, you make a Blast Bomb, then you will also gain EXP for Bomb and Blue Bomb.

The higher your recipe level the better effects you get when synthesizing, which include rotating ingredients, additional property inheritance slot, and extra use count. So if you want to make the best items you would need to do quite a bit of grinding in end game I assume.

I'm not sure how much this helps but I just started a PS1 game on my PSTV that's set to output at 720p and it still says it's at 720p when I hit the info button on my TV with the PS1 game running. If it wasn't, then anytime you hit the home button it'd have to resolution change.
Remember the PS1 emulator on Vita is running through the PSP hardware so it'll be the same as that.

Yes. Get the letter event on chapter 3 right. Save before the event happens in your room, you'll know when you get it right.

I bought this game for the fanservice alone and got what I expected.
The gameplay is pretty barebones and repetitive.
If you don't understand moon, some of the fetch quests required to progress can be a bit tedious.
The rubbing minigame (which is pretty much the selling point of the game) is fun but gets repetitive.
The music is alright but nothing memorable.
If you don't buy games with your dick then you better pass on this one.

For as lack luster a game as it was, Seven Pirates had enough fan service to keep my playing it through to true end. Not enough to finish up the plat though.

If you like the occasional fan service game, it's not a bad buy honestly. The rest of the game plays well enough to act as a good facilitator. But it's ALL about the fan service.
