She can be used as one of two ways- flanky tank similar to Winston, flying around behind and outbulking the hanzos and widows, or ever since the defense matrix overhaul many people play her 100% as a mobile defense matrix, just to stand in front and soak up hits. Besides, gold damage on DVa is easy since most of the time your ult will be walled or shielded and that will add a lot to the counter without achieveing anything.

There's no metric for a successful D.Va outside of how many upvotes you get after a round.

It's relatively easy to get gold kills and damage because you're plinking away at a lot of people. Adapt to your team comp - if you're lacking frontline presence, help your team push with DM. If there's a Blueberry bullying you, bully her back. DPS struggling to take out supports? Help them focus them down during a push.

D.Va's not a conventional tank, you're better off playing Rein if all you do is just DM down a choke.

Considering Lucio, Mcree, Roadhog and Reaper all get their ult completely and utterly invalidated by her I see no reason why Genji with his far better ult than any of them should get a free pass same for the other ults honestly. This pick and choose shit just makes the game make less sense and further increases the divide between who has great ults and who has shit ones.

Her ult should be redesigned to be the ultimate in countering other peoples ults, rather than an EMP that only has an effect on a handful of things, most of them useless.

I honestly would've preferred if she was the inverse of FB. It would still be intuitive because you'd still use the FB rule as a compass.

Make her unable to hack shit like Roadhog's Ult or Reaper's Death Blossom, but can hack 76's and Genji's Ult. That would actually make her compete with McCree based on enemy comp but now McCree just flat out wins because he brings the same thing on a shorter cooldown without sacrificing damage output.

The issue is spacing and how realistically she stands to get fucked just like every other 200HP hero in the game when he goes full weeb, the onus is on if she ults while he's in range or not and in a lot of cases if he's smart enough he'll at least net a kill or two before her ult even affects him.

This isn't even taking shit like a setup into account where her disabling dash doesn't mean shit when they are all nice and bunched because Zarya.

Don't get me wrong, I see what you are saying, what I'm asking for is a more permanent solution to the Genji ult problem than hope the stars align and she gets the jump on him.

My real issue is as stated before though, I'd rather they rework her ult to be better than an extremely situational but powerful ult. The disparity between characters at this point is already high enough.

It has been about half an year now and we are still just seeing character introduction and no plot development. I suppose they just want to pull out a WoW and keep the plot rolling for decades, but at least they could go through different story arcs in this time rather than staying in one place.

I also wonder who they will handle aging with so many elderly characters. Do doubt we will see any of them die of old age, or die at all, since people would get triggered. It will have to be a Disney-tier story where everyone is alive and well and bad guys just keep trying and failing but nobody ever REALLY gets hurt.

I started off poorly but eventually got much better. You need to learn the tricks for each hero on that map. You need to play a lot of them much more differently than you would in a regular game. I have yet to get completely bodied, I think the best thing to do is not even look at the enemy's rank and just do as well as you can.
