Orvius is a shit weapon.
Yes, you suspend a single enemy for a few seconds, get a few shots on them, and have no actual good melee.
Or you could play Vauban and lift EVERYONE for longer and use something that won't do shit for damage.
Mastery Fodder locked behind a quest that took too long to release.

Broken Scepter's Gimmick at least has more use and you get it pre-potatoed, too, but it isn't that strong.

The Twin Rogga is strong stuff, but limited with the constant reloading.

The Zarr pretty much is the Stradavar.

Kesheg may have high base damage, but is slow, and not sure if better than Lesion.

Riven mods were a mistake. All those buffs should have been made innate in a sweeping buff wave for all those old weapons, but DE can't monetize that shit and claim its new content, so they go with slot machine RNG pretending to want more weapons to be viable. If they did they'd ignore any investment players made in their weapons, scrap all stats and balance every weapon from the ground up.

1) Riven mods can ONLY be acquired by one chance daily RNG from a pool of rewards notorious for being shittily weighted. (Outside of being bought)

2) The mods themselves are incredibly unlikely to give you what you want weapon wise, which isn't rerollable, and even less likely to give you what you want statwise, I'm not a math wiz, but I can tell you that the possible combinations of stat modifiers alone is fucking absurd.

3) Rerolling the damn things gets too expensive VERY quickly, 10 rerolls in is 10900 kuva, that's fucking ridiculous.

4) It's literally a cash grab scam to get people to spend stupid amounts of plat buying mods from people who got lucky, I'm not talking like stalker acolyte mods where you had to be there for the event, I'm talking a fucking shot in the dark with the person you want to shoot being shuffled in three spots between your parents lucky.

And finally (This is an opinion, mainly because it doesn't have a ton of solid basis), I'm convinced this is scott's lazy ass solution to fixing all the garbage weapons in the game that are effectively useless, while also making the already broken good weapons EVEN MORE broken.

How to fix the game in an afternoon (aka not perfect solutions done with as little work as possible):

UI
-have menus open up next to eachother in layers so you can go back to root with 1 click
-shrink merketplace/foundry entries so 36 isntead of 6 can be seen at once
-show number of blueprints of items in foundry
-have all subsections of inventory avalaible at foundry next to, and just like: "components"
-mark maxed out weappons/their bluepritns in teh marketplace
-add "redpeloy all" option to extractor after "claim all" button
-clicking an invasion starts the invasion, not just takes you to the planet
-which syndicate you want to support is globaly (regardless of frames or sigils) changeable (like public or soloplay dropdown menu)
-starting a fissure allows you to either: pick a relic and open a lobby for that relic, or browse the relic lobbies and join the one you want (if you have the same relic)

Meta:
-add dark sector/nightmare like variables to planets/missions, which then change on a rotation every 4 hours (for example: +50%xp -75% resouces; ;+50% rare resources, noshields; ;no special enemies +100% number of enemies.... etc) so ppl can do focused shit (xp/resource farming) without having a single permanent lootcave, or just have fun with fuckedup combos
-endless rotations slowly drop to C only
-global, public of ranking of all weapon sorted by most used. the lower the weapon the more shit you get for using it (scaling credit/xp/reource booster) with each weapon having a name next to it, who did the most damage with said weapon that day (dude also gets some minor temporary cosmetic shit like diferent name in chat, a glowing aura or someshit)
-for rotation rewards you get the option of rolling like normal, or get an apropriate token. You can exchange the tokens in relays/dodjos to shit you wanted form that rotation (price is equivalent to 3-5 tries, so you might feel lucky and try for a first get, or resign and do that shit 5 times for a guarantee)

It's absolutely crit-viable now, with 37.5% chance and 5.5x damage w/the basic crit mods.

Inconsistent damage annoys the shit out of me, personally, but this thing does have bomblets that presumably each have their own crit chance, and there's always Mirage. It's fun to use, and that's what counts.

The Barrage mode range is too awful to rely on, but for it, the crit damage is much more consistent in that mode and it actually deals a shitload of damage, comparable to any top-tier shotgun.

Riven mods don't exist so that the general playerbase can earn cool mods. They exist so that the 5% of the playerbase who win God-tier mods by sheer luck will trade them to the whales who buy most of the platinum.

Most of the playerbase is constantly in need of platinum for basic things like slots, taters, a few accessories they like, etc. When whales trade hundreds or thousands of platinum to the lucky few, that platinum is quickly spent in DE's market and then destroyed, i.e. removed from circulation.

This is why expensive market items help to make DE money. They "stimulate" the game economy. Yeah, platinum only changes hands, and average Joe players do trade with each other too, but that isn't the point.

DE needs whale-bought plat to be traded to average Joe players and then destroyed in the market.

Buying plat from DE is the only faucet for platinum. There is no other, except for rare giveaways during livestreams that account for <.01% of the plat in circulation.

Warframe is a F2P, lobby-based multiplayer game. The potential you think you saw probably could only be fully realized in a well-crafted single-player game.

With F2P they just have to keep upping the ante and adding more wacky shit to keep people playing and the $$$ flowing.

Those are solid foundations.
Those foundations are what ppl bought in on this game, why soem of us cling on to it., because on top of those, a fenomena game could have been erected.

The Opticor is a good weapon, even though it's been eclipsed over the course of the past year-plus.

If that were mine, I'd keep cycling it until it's too expensive, because the Opticor has zero recoil and those stats aren't really good enough to settle for.

If I ended up with expensive shit, I'd just be really sad and move on.
