how are you getting more reactant to drop? It seems like once you get your 10, more refuse to drop on kills and any that were lying about are instantly consumed. The only way I'm getting more out is if I swap out to my tater and get enough kills that way...and the tater can't die or else all the reactant it collected disappears and you have to start over again. I can see a group setup would work (get your 10 fast, switch out to tater and pick up more the everyone else kills) but doing it solo on anything besides lith seems pointlessly inefficient

it does not. You are not taking damage per se. Technically you could also try mag shield shenanigans (or any overshield frame) but they aren't really as reliable as Iron Skin/Warding Halo. Iron skin is best because it's recastable with the aug since you just have to keep an eye on IS health. (or just crank up power str and run a low level mission and never have to recast it)

Frankly most of the grineer missions I've been to have had the collector. It's rather annoying/not fun to collect it but I don't think getting 9k ei too hard. Unless you need all those weapons right now then I don't see the problem.

I don't, brah. Slots are cheap and it's easy enough to rustle up 20p from selling random void drops. If you keep playing, you'll eventually hit a point where you realise that the game is ludicrously easy and you can still faceroll everything without relying on meta weapons/frames. There's no particular benefit to keeping an unprimed frame if you've got the primed version (aside from aesthetics) although at one point you could bypass raid restrictions on frame duplicates by taking the primed/unprimed version iirc. Holding out for the primed version of a frame before it's out is kind of a crapshoot though. That said, down the line you may find it fun to take non-meta weapons for a spin just because self imposed challenges are entertaining in their own way.

the thing about plat and slots is that it's not really a zero sum game. As long as you keep playing and don't stress out about RNG and grind, 1) there will be whales pumping their cash into prime access and getting more plat than they know what to do with, and 2)you will always be able to sell prime parts you get lucky with, rare stuff from Baro, and Syndicate weapons/mods I fully acknowledge it's a poorly designed mess of a game, but having started back in U4 or so, and completely uninstalling for two years between U14 and U18 I think the mindless grind is comfy in its own way

Or you just alternate sentinel weapons. If I'm using a shotgun I equip Prime Laser Rifle on my Sentinel. If I'm using a Rifle I equip Sweeper Prime on my Sentinel.

But yes if you're intent on using a sentinel mod that takes rifle mods you'll need leveled duplicates.

honestly bruh, don't bother. Sentinels do great at mid-low level stuff when built for damage (and sweeper scales fairly well for mid-higher level stuff as well) but at the end of the day, you're pretty limited for mod space on your sentinel. They're fantastic utility (guardian, medi-ray, animal instinct, coolant leak, vacuum, sanctuary, ammo case/other specific precept) and everything else is dedicated to keeping it alive.

I've got a multi-forma sweeper prime loaded for CC (something like 80% proc rate for viral/rad with punch through) but at the end of the day, for high level stuff, I'd rather it didn't attract aggro on something it can't even put a dent in. Save your endo/credits for better things. The sad truth of the matter is that unless you're sleeking deconstructor onto another sent, sentinel weapons aren't really worth using, and a lot of the time you just end up running no weapon on it to keep it alive.

It's happened before, twice actually. The first time was when the Detron and Hanuka-bot were added. Every single Invasion resulted in Grineer victory as people racked up Zanuka marks. After a couple of weeks the Corpus had a little over a dozen nodes left in their territory out of 100~ total nodes with most of those holdouts being boss nodes that couldn't be overwritten. Then it happened a second time when the G3 arrived and with them the Brakk became publicly available; once again the Invasions (once word caught on anyway) became solid Corpus victories as people racked up G3 marks. Both times had hundreds of forum topics regarding the increasing difficulty of finding particular enemy units, loss of farming hotspots and especially Oxium depletion during the first Grineer expansion since the Corpus lost virtually every node with an applicable level range that Oxi-clean Ospreys could spawn in.

But all of this came after the Gradivus conflict which introduced Invasions in the first place; don't even get me started on that shitfest.

Why is there no viable glaive for high level play?
I had high hopes for the Ovaries or whatever it's called, it has a neat little mechanic but if you bring it to any fight with enemies over 40 it falls flat.

Also there is a serious lack of endgame puncture melee weapons. Galatine, War and Nikana are alright and all, but I want something FUN as well as useful.

When they first introduced invasions at Gradivus Grineer completely and utterly curbstomped the Corpus. Large part of it was Warbros and /wfg/ folks dominating causing everyone else to hop onto the grineer train out of fear of backing the wrong side and not getting the reward. Event was supposed to last a week but at the rate it was going, would have ended at least a couple days early. So DE literally claimed to have gotten hacked, deleted the results of multiple nodes that were supposed to be up for days, and hotfixed everything, just to stretch the event out to its planned duration. It was super bullshit.

DE has and absolutely will fuck with the results to get their intended narrative flowing the way they want, regardless of what the playerbase does.

8 and 10. 7-8 is that sweet spot where you can throw on a stretch to offset the -range and still have near base range. R8 is nice because that means you can still rock 91% range while getting loads of duration but 181% duration / 91% range vs 172% duration /97% is mostly a tossup.

More duration is always nifty but between fleeting/transient/primed cont there are q lot of ways to run the numbers. I found r8 the most versatile, but ymmv ultimately with nonspam abilities you're looking at differences of ~5s/2-3m so it doesn't really matter
