There's a good amount of healers. What's confusing is the lack of BMs.

SM is fucked, it's OP, but at the same time it's not.

For starters it's not ranged, in a game with 4 ranged classes and 2 melee classes, while vanguard is melee but it's tanky. Also shares loot with vanguard, most guilds will default gear to vanguards first since no one cares about a geared BM and everyone needs a geared vanguard.

From what I been told it has a steep learning curve, once you overcome the first entry barrier and start loving the class, a second set of misery awaits you at 69, afaik most people quit here and stop giving a fuck about BM, but those who are willing to endure the struggle are rewarded with the most broken 1v1 class in the end, still suffering the same flaws as before, but not many people are willing to endure the pain until then.

I was very interested on it because of the access to some lifesteal skills, but it seems playing SM is much less frustrating and more inclusive in all parties.

The leveling gets grindy above 50, but that's fine because you need to use that time to gear up.

Getting enhancement mats is a small grind, but it's manageable since you can transfer enhancements between armor and you can't fully enhance your armor until a certain bracket anyway.

What can be considered really grindy is combining stones and getting a perfect soul grid.

The thing is, people that dedicate a lot of time to MMO's, a lot of the time need to justify their investment, and in this game like many others the only justification they can get is gearscore.

If you don't research well enough how to achieve the most gearscore in the shortest time possible, you'll start falling behind by literal weeks of progression, and people striving for the higher gear scores will start to become elitist if you're not investing as much as them in achieving said goal.

Of course this can be overcome with real money, a LOT of time, and/or luck, but the fact remains that if you don't squeeze most weekly progression stuff you'll fall behind those who did invest in a $90 founder's pack and effectively maximized their time investment since day 1.

If your goal isn't gearscore then it's whatever, you can spend all day flying and masturbating in the spa, just don't come back here and complain why people don't want you in the god mode dungeons playing your shitty necromancer that's 7 weeks behind the curve.

You don't need to have perfect gear to run GM, at any level. Being a week behind is not going to permanently lock you out of PvE activities or whatever, which is fine if all that player wants to do is PvE.

If all you want to do is PvP though, you're correct, however there is a wall that everyone is going to hit when it comes to levels and gear. Whether or not someone makes it there in less time than someone else doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, unless you have an elitist mindset and care about silly things like "world first 80k gearscore lulz"
