Almost all 5* bases are great units, so I'll rattle off the next few we're probably going to get:

Ace (Powerful nuker, but has pretty random abilities and MP issues)
Gilgamesh (Very strong attacker, but not quite as good as Light/Luneth because he doesn't have dual wield. with it, he's much better.)
Queen (Very strong physical attacker who like Gilgamesh, needs dual wield to hit her full potential. Has a staggeringly strong 4.5x attack as well as some hybrid abilities)
Majin Fina (Incredible nuker, has Ultima and doublecast. Enough said)

we're also probably going to get Lightning again when the XIII banner hits in a few weeks. You could try to pull for her there.

There seems to be a pretty strong consensus that OK and his relics are broken af. Aside from a brief stint in dissidia though, I really don't give 2 shits about OK as a character. Are his relics really that game breaking or is it just the new hot thing that redditors are trying to spread to justify buying another leviathan pouch?

GILFamesh is pretty lame until his enhancements 2bdesu.

He's barely better than Barz for a while without TMs, and literally all he can do is attack

But just this week, he got a 5.71429x AoE attack, a 12 hit ST attack that does 12.0x damage.
He also gets +50% ATK with each weapon equipped now.

With dual wield, you could hit an enemy 24 times a turn, just by yourself.

There aren't any more good base 3*s after this.
The era of 6* is upon us, so 4*+ is all that matters.

The only new base 3* you should ever consider going after from here on out is Abel for his TM. Otherwise, you only want 4*s.

In the immediate future, the only good 4*s are Snow (he's mediocre), Seven, and Mercedes (a donut). Faris is a serviceable Full Breaker if you don't have Vaan, though (she's a clone of him), so it's worth going on that banner anyway.

So the III banner really was your last chance at good new units.

But what's gonna really suck is all these GL Exclusive events and shit.
Gumi SG stores their sprites in hundreds of separate layers, while Alim compresses theirs into just one.

So while a JP-born unit has a single spritesheet for everything, a GL native will have a different sheet for each finger and toe in every different animation, even if they never move.

That's gonna add up fast.

He's actually very easy with any units. Ifrit gives you 50% fire resist, and barfira gives you the same.

That means you get one unit he can't touch, and five more he can barely scratch. Add in any kind of ATK break and he can't even kill squishy mages faster than you can heal.

It's an event designed around bringning level 1 tiliths.

I've found that the focus fire game plan works well, where I nuke their units one by one, from the highest damage dealers down to the healers, then destroying tanks.

They removed his resistances (and weaknesses), and lowered his DEF/SPR significantly. At least in half (it was 600/600 before, haven't tested it now and don't care to).

But they also made it so enemies can ambush you (as in, attack first). And with Kum Kums casting death, you're in for a rough time without Reduce Encounter.

You can play the entire game solo (due to being able to summon NPCs for a party), however it takes a lot of time to get used to it, due to the fact that the game is so very old.

Also, you have to religiously stick to guides as you work on story because the game doesn't tell you where to go, pretty much ever.

He's average, definitely not as strong as Luneth and Lightning, but he's got 2.2x scaling breaker which goes great with his drain ability.

Also does descent physical AD damage, strong ST only with the halloween auras, mine goes to about 425-430 ish.

The sleep from his aoe can come in handy sometimes, disable a dangerous unit once you end turn.

Best use I have for him is single target bursting along with spamming his aoe, which is very efficient since my Cecil and WoL heal forever.

In the Japanese version of the game, it shows you the exact percent chance to pull each unit. They had to do it legally because of some anti-gambling legislation there.

As you'd expect, all the good units have pitifully low chances. I think Lightning has a 0.013% chance to be pulled off banner.

Full Break him, pop Cheer and Focus and just go. The two CoDs should be able to eat through like 40% of his health per turn, so he should go down quickly. On his second turn he'll cast Meteor, you pretty much NEED to defend even with focus to survive it. Focus really helps shave off the damage from his magic attacks. You don't need Cheer, but it lets you kill him quicker.

If he buffs himself, cast Dispel and make sure to re apply full break. As long as both CoDs are Barraging each turn, he should go down very quickly.

Osmose is only a thing in the Arena, in regular battle it just heals you maybe 10 or 15 net MP. Enemies don't actually consume MP, it's just there for you to steal from.

Try to kill him in two turns to avoid the meteor, it WILL kill you unless you defend + boost SPR.

Two out of the four members of the Holy Cross has outright problems in the Arena(Thundergod and Doughnut Pile Bunker waifu thanks to Cecils/WoLs/Golem on either one). Only Rain's Dad and HAHAHAHA.wav don't have their damage resisted in some way.
