i throw ragnell into the air and jump up and grab it and do a flip and slam it down on his head then jump up and cut him again and do a backflip and when i land i turn my body sideways for a second

as soon as the sword conncected all off the pain went away and i felt much better and i realized that using aether healed me

You can beat the level with just Zihark, Tauroneo, Volug, and Micaiah. Just pray to to Ashera the allied units don't fuck up.

Toss a Crown Tauroneo's way with no BEXP. His current stats along with promo bonuses leave him able to choke a point well enough. His Mastery skill will help him as well.

Pump BEXP into Micaiah and Sothe, and give Sothe any Beast Killers you can get.

Otherwise there's not much there that's salvageable. Typically you always want to leave the DB with at least one other competent unit, like Jill or Zihark, but even without the amount of Direct units you get will support you well enough in 3-12 and 3-13.

I skimmed over your post, didn't see that he was a Warrior rather than a Fighter. In that case, yes, you're a lot better off having him around. Don't be afraid to use the Tarvos, these chapters are why he has it. If you got the Beastfoe skill from Part 1, it is godlike in these chapters. Use it.

Nolan with Beastfoe, Sothe with a Beastkiller, and Tauroneo with a Master Crown should have you pretty stacked.

I'll look at them to an extent. I'll just check to see if there's someone in particular I need to deploy to recruit someone, or to get a map for desert items.

I don't start the game with an end team in mind, as obvious as it sounds. I end up just refining my team as I go along. I don't let anyone die of course, so in some cases a combo of these things doesn't end well. I played Conquest Hard blind as my first playthrough, and it got brutal towards the end. Ended up just banzai charging in Endgame because I didn't have the things required to skip it.

I don't LTC, although I do respect it in a way. I like it in the sense that it's a theoretical max efficiency, however impossible it may be RNG-wise for a human to replicate normally. But I don't like that it's used by people to claim that it is the highest form of skill at the game. I think that the ability to adapt to the situation at hand is just as important as being able to go quickly. Being able to carry on when you get RNG screwed and deal with problems as they present themselves is just as impressive imo.

In the Japanese version of the game, playing on Hard would use an extended script in place of the normal one, which had extra story details and plot elements. You could see it on the first playthrough, and then see the extended second playthrough stuff as long as you were playing on Hard the second time around. The localization team decided they wanted to base the translation on the un-extended version of the script, so unless you read the extended script translation on Serenes, there's some stuff you won't see even on a second playthrough (on the English version)

Nearly finished Conquest, is Revelations worth buying?

Also, who are your top 5 favourite characters in Fates? I've really struggled to put together a party of characters I actually like, they're all so generic. The only ones I really like are Niles, Beruka, Mozu, Charlotte and Effie. Arthur gets an honourable mention but I basically stopped fielding him as soon as I completed Percy's paralogue.

Just depends on what you're looking for, really. Birthright has some cool characters like Azama and Oboro, and has one of the more solid stories of the three paths.

Even though I'm not a huge fan of the games, I still ended up buying all three. Was worth the story closure plus being able to go replay them and do challenge runs whenever I want. And also Rev just for the completionist in me, to have all characters, all kids, etc.
