Blood Aggro is the cheapest competitive deck you can build between those two crafts, and it's excellent for climbing.
Consider finishing story modes and elite CPUs for extra cards first. You can do them with default decks if you're stubborn enough and ready to ram your face until RNG comes your way. I don't think it's a bad idea to just craft all your shit though.

I think a one turn increase on Aria would solve about every problem with Haven. Right now it comes out with Cudgel on the play, you can pop it turn 3 with Dogma which is impossible to answer without card disadvantage, tempo loss and a damage swing. And it combos with Garuda for big reach.

It's already bundling 2 cards into one, thus giving you more deck space and card advantage, having a lower PP cost is just bullshit. Aria has no business not being 3 PP. This would solve bullshit Aria into Dogma plays, Aria into Garuda on 8, Aria into eagle amulet, and of course Aria popping up on 4 into a Cudgel evo.

This. Roach is a kill combo that comes out about the same time as any other, and gib roach is the easiest OTK to answer.
Ancient Elf is a 3 of as a 2/3 ward and there're almost no ways to answer her on curve if she bounces a single fairy. You almost always take a tempo loss answering her coming later into the game. If I lose to a roach combo then whatever, but if they curve out into elf then it's uphill the entire game.

How do you counter roach? Don't fucking meme me with "ward counters storm" bullshit, the storm player dictates the trade, the ward player is at the mercy of the attacker. Roach is 2 fucking PP follower that can easily trade 1 for 1 into the biggest ward in the game and allow a second roach to go through.
Ancient Elf is only a problem, because Forest just has too many overtuned cheap cards. Wanderer is overtuned, May is overtuned, Liza is overtuned, and then you have the game breaking bounces like another Ancient Elf, Tia, or Roach. Ancient Elf being nerfed will only serve to weaken Forest's early game turn 3 Ancient Elf plays, but the late game will be untouched. This would only promote more degenerate "just play aggro" to counter every problem deck. A better nerf to Roach would be to just remove Nature's Guidance from the game, or actually nerf it directly.

Without the subjective stuff like theme and art style, I've got from the top of my head:

Cygames gives you something like 20 packs just for signing up, and free shit for another 20 packs or so just from playing the tutorials and beating the AI.
Each pack is individually higher value than the average hearthstone pack. Not only does each pack have 8 cards instead of 5, but the legendary drop rate in itself is double that of hearthstone.
RNG is limited, and what little there is outside of drawing can usually be manipulated to effectively not be RNG.
EVOLVE is the best mechanic a card game has ever conceived.
Log in bonus and 3 quests a day effectively give you at minimum 1 pack a day if all you do is log in and do the quests. On the 5th and 10th days you get a free pack login bonus, on the 15th you get a free arena ticket.
Every month if you just play ranked casually you can get a couple free packs, and a couple free arena tickets. If you go full autism you can get a load of packs

The 4 drops are too strong to deny player 1 an entire evolve point, and the awkward turn 5 evolve is usually enough of a drawback to handicap player 1, usually to counter player 2's evolve on 4, player 1 is stuck on turn 4 for two turns in a row.
