nope it's way more shorter and safer and simpler than it ever was, on o3ds you still need to go to 2.1 but you use a different method now which is safer, on n3ds you just downgrade to 9.2 and install a9lh there and since the guide is way shorter now it should only take about 30 mins to an hour total

Is there an updated NTR? I use it to stream but now its saying it isnt supported by my firm...

So I have backup abilities working on my WiiU.

I've got homebrew channel installed on the vWii.

Now when I swap to a larger SD card (64gb) to do the NAND dump etc, nothing shows up to launch in homebrew. I have the programs in an apps folder on the root of the SD. Also if I try to browse to the SD card from homebrew it crashes.

Okay, I'm going to do a step by step of what I did to see if I got something wrong

I first launched homebrew on my Old 3DS, and started up the spoit or whatever app that allows me to download the payload. I selected the version of my New 3DS, and download the payload. I then downloaded the homebrew starter kit and put it on the root of my SD card (Pic related). I booted up OoT3D and selected the save file. When I press A however, it kicks me to the home menu.
(I checked multiple times to see if I had put the correct system version, and deleted my saves permanently multiple times)

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with homebrewing my 3DS, specifically with browserhax. I've seen some posts say that it's down atm, but idk if that applies to me as well bc im completely new to this. I posted this yesterday but I'll post it again now. I have a 3DS which, without an SD card, it works perfectly fine. But if I dare to put any kind of SD card into it the screens simply turn black, but it stays on. It had menuhax before, and I tried formatting the SD, formatting the 3DS and using another SD card. I'm just trying to get to a point where i can boot and then system update from there. Guide says to try a 9.2.0 ctrtransfer if there's errors, and the 9.2 ctrtransfer guide says to do it if your backup isn't working. probably because 6.3 isn't supported

So, I've got access to a hacked 2ds and have an 11.1 system I want to hack.
Issue is, I have a lot of games, saves, etc I'd rather not lose or have to redownload on the hacked system. Neither system has an nnid, nor would I care about one.
That said, am I better off waiting for 11.1 exploits to be released to deal with the 11.1 system, or is there an easy way to do the system transfer dsi downgrade without losing the stuff currently installed on my hacked system?

So, what do I need to run DS ROM hacks?

I tried running them on an old R4 flash card, but my DSlite didn't read them (same thing for DSi Enhanced games) and my A9LH modded 3DS doesn't read my R4 at all, giving me an Error when I try to access it from the menu.

Should I update to a new and better R4 card? If so, is a R4i SDHC Dual Core or an AceKard 2 flashcard good enough to run ROM hacks?

All I want is to play DS games/ROM hacks on my 3DS/DS/on the go...

Can anyone help, please?

Hi guys, got a minor problem that I'm just curious about here. I've been running Homebrew for months now with my separated NANDs and RxTools, and I've been updating my EmuNAND from system settings and every .cia I've installed works fine.
HOWEVER, I tried to extract my emuNAND from my SD card today to make a backup and Emunand Tool said it couldn't detect it.
It if helps, my SD card is called EMUNAND9SD
Any thoughts?

Ok guys, i have a few questions.

I successfully hacked my o3ds and o3ds xl with the plailect guide and everything works fine.

First: is it just coincidence that this stuff is called .cia and fbi or was this done on purpose because of memes?

Second: WHAT am i allowed to do now with my 3ds? Can i register a new NNID, use the e-shop, play online with friends even if their 3DS isn't hacked? Can i do everything that i could do before without having to fear that something will happen to my 3ds? Won't the Nintendo servers notice that i am playing a pirated version?

And last: Is it save to play Pokemon Sun/Moon online already or should i wait for at least ~3 days before release?

I read something that using the e-shop will make block my SM versions, is that true?

Just got the NES Classic Edition . Pretty good system set up except for the controller cord. I've enjoyed lots of NES games over the years and decided to purchase it as a sign of gratitude. $60 is a decent price for hundreds of games played over the years.

I snatched Sun from that 3DS Title site and whenever I try to run it, it just shows a black screen and reboots into the homescreen.
