Most of the choices have fairly obvious plans, but I'm not sure what Ashdod/Abysia and Nazca/Asphodel are planning.

Nazca/Asphodel might just have been a case of them wanting to snatch up two strong nations, but I really don't see how Ashdod/Abysia go together well.

The increase in power to Niefel Giants from N9E4 to N9E9 is extremely noticeable, as it makes them virtually unkillable in cold 2-3 scale outside of shit like SoG vanhere - and even they have slight issues.

The big thing is that E8 makes the giants fatigue neutral, and at that point might as well grab the E9 for the extra added prot which usually means +3 protection - which really matters.

It also makes Niefel Jarls fatigue neutral out of the box.

LA C'tis can do pretty well with E9N9.

Most of your mages are sacred, and already have base prot 5, so moving that up to 10 massively reduces the chance of their dying to lucky arrows. Plus the extra reinvig means they can skelespam/banefire for days. Tomb Guards are also pretty respectable expanders when they aren't immediately fatiguing out.

Moves Tomb Wyrms from prot10 to prot15 as well, which is a fairly big deal, as if you're going bigbless C'tis, you're gonna be using those as tarpits.

Weak raiding and heavy raiding complement one another. Your opponent doesn't know which is hitting where and when. If he buys decent PD he risks a waste of gold when a heavy raider sweeps it. If he just buys one point, he's susceptible to lose to a light raider.

Basically the effect is mostly psychological. You pop hunger or such two or three times and your opponent will start spending extra gold on PD when that gold would have been put to better use elsewhere.

N9 is the obvious choice. I'm not sure I see the utility of B9 though. Yeah, it thwarts evo, but most evo isn't going to have a huge effect on your statues anyway, between high HP, high protection, and being statues. There's stuff like Soul Slay and (worse) Gifts From Heaven to worry about, but those are rare enough that I think you're better off trying to deal with them by using numbers to kill the casters before they kill too many of your guys.

Also E9 is useful when you hit Ench8 since it'll give you 16 extra sentinels from hall of the guardians, before boosters, and you'd otherwise be casting it at minimum power with a lucky cap-only mage and earth boots, and the only other boosters available would require a pretender designed to forge them anyway.

Don't underestimate the nation with the best recruitable blood mage in the game.

How do you think that most nations deal with statues? If you have to kill the statues instead of eliminating the commanders, the ways that you do it are elementals, thugs, and evo. Ulm, TC, Ys, Caelum, Rus, Ermor, Machaka all want to use evo to kill them. B9 forces them to either find a different tool or suffer potentially expensive losses to get rid of them. (Side note since you mentioned it - soul slay is a good answer for a raiding party of statues led by a mage, but it's good because it ignores the statues. Soul slay doesn't affect mindless things)

It also gives bloodstone access, which is nice.

have other nations magic phase as well, as long as your sure the one you want to drain the resources will beat each battle he'll end up fighting each nation taht jumps him in the magic phase

First - magic phase assasinations as many as possible.
Second - magic phase attack (all troops under your flag will attack now).
Third - magic phase attack under the neutral flag (horrors and phantasms, maybe some others I don't remember).
Forth - phisical assasinations using your own assasins and seducers. Also lure of sirens works there.
Fifth - fight after the movement phase, main battle.
Sixth - battle for the fort if enemy going to storm (magic phase attack with the forces under the your flag won't work if the province had your fort)
Seventh - assasinations made by horrors who attracted by the Horror Marks of the enemy comanders.
Eights - random event attacks, can not be envoked via spells, but some rituals may heighten PROBABILITY of those happen.

That's all I can remember. Also some Globals invoke assasinations too, they are coming usually between 6 and 7 stages.

Ah. Well, that's a lot less important for blood than other paths.

The first reason is that empowering blood is cheap, second reason is that blood has 3 boosters, all using different slots, and all available without crosspaths. It's very easy to turn a weak blood mage into a strong blood mage.

It is, but that's still using your cap-only mages. Basically the entire gameplan you've laid out for Abysia is focused on their cap-only blood.

That works fine for blitzes and small games, but I don't think it'll work in a game this large.

In this case Abysia's inability to recruit useful mages outside their capital is partially mitigated by their ability to flood Ashdod with the leftover dosh.

Bifrons can break you into astral and Bune into Death. Cimejes summons frost devils.

However, since water is generally speaking a non-ideal combat and ritual magic path (there of course are exceptions, it depends), I think most of the frost devils are best used as thugs. Thanks to ice protection, in C3 dominion, they tend to be very durable with very little kit (and since they already have protection covered by default, you could, for example, use Shroud of Battle Saint if you have a good thug bless). Water isn't a good way to make an SC (Bifrons and Bune can do better because they have access to stuff like body ethereal+resist magic and soul vortex+skeletal body respectively) but since they are the cheapest of summonable devils and do well with little kit (assuming cold dominion), they are very cost-effective and should they die, you can just resummon them cheaply.
