Xbox Modding isn't bad all things considered. They'll never be able to run SKSE stuff or ENBs of course but they already have access to a pretty solid set of mods including stuff like the Unofficial patch, Ordinator and Apocalypse, some of the big quest mods. Far inferior to PC, but vastly better than PS4.

Trying to port over some armors from Oldrim to SE, and I'm getting a few missing meshes.
Stuff like the big red triangle with ! and armor parts not showing up, like going bald with hoods and not having hands/legs with gloves/boots.

Yes if you're only installing a few. It's when you start installing hundreds of mods with various compatibility patches and such that things get complicated.

I'd recommend looking at Ordinator, which overhauls the perk system to make it more interesting and fun. This also serve the purpose of doing things like buffing up magic late game where it struggles in vanilla. Also grab a combat mod, this will make the enemy AI a bit smarter and much things less damage spongey Smilodon would be a good choice (There are other good combat mods to try, but I think Smildon is a good one to start with). That same author has good more to make Shouts, Spells, Racial Abilities, and other things cooler and there are tons of other great mods too. But a perk overhaul and combat overhaul will probably be the biggest improvements to the gameplay itself.

I used to use a script extender on fallout games....made my game horribly unstable....and it was a nightmare when things needed upgrading.....for skyrim it was the same--the new version of SKSE was incompatible with older mods....or new mods needed the newer SKSE thus forcing me to mess around for hours upgrading.
All the while my games started having random crashes....and performance going to the floor.
The entire time the SKSE team said it wasnt their fault....the mods desingers said it wasnt their fault.....but those were the culprits....
Now with skyrim i dont use any script extenders...and have zero instability or crashes....instead i have a fun game.
And the mods i use are lot more well designed...because the people who made them...made it so i dont need tons of dependencies...so i can simply deactivate with no issue
