Raids were a mistake, they go against the original plans for the game (not like the haven't done that infinitely to appease the loudest complainers for the last 4 years but whatever)

I wish they did away with hearts altogether and every map worked with a clear chain of group events like silverwaste. Not that like SW that much but it's in the right direction for what's supposed to be a collab game.

Large dungeons before the big bad boss, GW2 raids are just DPS races.

Wells, wards, useful ranger spirits, environmental effects. Different physical damage types. Different bow types that fired arrows at different angles and speeds.
Minion window, channel bar under a target's health bar for interrupts.
See? What does GW2 have? GW1 is an old game but the best thing GW2 combat has to offer is jumping, cancer dodging, and the ability to move while attacking. GW2 combat has no depth and what you see in raids now is all you will ever see out of raids in the future.

Living world season 1 ended, it was temporary open world content that brought people out. The subsequent seasons are all instanced story content, the dialogue isn't much better but the story improved. With this change, people just aren't as motivated to leave Lion's Arch.

World bosses got old. The Triple Trouble world bosses were added but due to the difficulty of preparing and all the waiting for the spawn.. people don't do it. The Shatterer world boss was revamped, but that's just new buttons on old clothing.

At this very moment, ArenaNet release "current event" achievements and content with LS3 episodes to stimulate the open world in a similar manner as LS1. These "current events" come with invisible achievements, are not really marked on the map, and are left behind after the achievements have been completed so by now you'll be fighting champions on your own, pretty much. ArenaNet add dynamic events this way, but they're not too special. Nothing that pushes the importance of completing them, like shown in >>159655453 with a bridge collapsing.

Dungeons are dead. No revamps or improvements, no new dungeon paths, and the power creep from HoT elite specializations make dungeons easier than before.

Fractals took the place of dungeons, all accessible from Lion's Arch with an incredible hub inside for all needs minus the Mystic Forge and crafting.

Raids are accessible from Lion's Arch, too.

The best ways of making money are in HoT maps, Lion's Arch through fractals, and that's it.

Be it "too little too late" or "not enough" with hope for the present, one can agree that updates are pretty dry and straight forward whenever they're dropped in between months of waiting. ArenaNet's manpower is working on a second expansion, they've had to cut down on some promises. In my opinion the world isn't too empty, I still bump into people in zones like Harathi Hinterlands and Lornar's Pass, but it's not as busy as it used to be.

All of my friends in GW2 are always tired, they don't play as often as they used to and when ArenaNet do something crazy it really, really gets to them.

but once we hit that center, aka fully geared our characters with maxed stuff and skins and all that

Why do we grind so much for skins? Gold for expensive DYES of all things? Like you said, eventually we run out of stuff to earn through game effort and it's gemstore from there on out. But even then, so what? Why dress up pretty? Why max out your stats with +9 infusions with stats and all that when group content comes so slowly?
Why keep sucking when the center of it all is nasty?

Like, do we pick up another jawbreaker and keep sucking and discard the center? Eventually the taste of jawbreakers get old. Where's the new jawbreaker flavors? Where's the jawbreakers with an actual center? Can they make GOOD center layers?

Wouldn't it just be easier to use Rise! and get the shambling horrors to transfer the conditions though? It's got a way shorter cooldown than Lich form which doesn't offer much for condition builds other than the Jagged horrors and boon strip on skill #5 (which is crazy fucking good btw). It just kinda seems wasteful to me to pop a 180 second cooldown elite just for two skills.

Although I'm probably wrong on all of this and a fucking idiot. I just need some good insight is all. It's a shame that Plague form is horribly shitty though because I kinda like it. But you can't even tank well with it anymore.

Lich Form used to be better since minions from Mark of Horror lasted indefinitely if you had a healer to top them off. You could have hordes of minions and cant really do that unless there's adrenal mushrooms. Even then, they die after 30 secs now thanks to nerfs.
