/blog/, thanks again for recommending Night at the Hospital many threads back. That game was enjoyable for a horror romp despite its shortness. Same thanks for Nie no Akazukin. I blew my load and spent about nine hundred stones over the past month. Thank god for the recent events, bingos, etc because that let me gain about three hundred stones in under a week.

I think they will probably allow for many past themes to be available on birthdays. Don't forget that even with a R or SR ticket you could get a UR from multiple themes. I did a ten and got one SR Iori and this. I'm happy. Everyone looks great.

Events can vary. WTE has 4 stages that range from stupid easy to needing a team that's at least 70+ to clear comfortably. The last time we had a completely non-noob friendly event was Regiment Battle, where if you didn't have at least two full teams of 90s+ or four teams of 70s+ you'd could never finish the final stage (and so never had a chance to get Higekiri).

A Good Smile rep said that an Aoba figure got rereleased because their inboxes were flooded by English speakers wanting it. Makes me think Japanese + EOP fujos all over dmmd at the same time makes it a safe profit and influences it to some extent.

Meanwhile a lot of them won't even give Lamento and Sweet Pool a chance because they're not lolrandom and colorful enough. Sweet Pool isn't even in English yet and they've already written it off as bad. I suppose that might affect it to some degree.

I've been playing Tierblade. Finished Sud and toward the end of Atharva route. I'm quite liking it; gorgeous game and pretty interesting. Most looking forward to Row, least looking forward to Yajur.

I'm making even slower progress than usual though because I'm trying to juggle multiple other games. I hoped to finish it before the onslaught of late November-early December game releases, but there's no way that's happening now.

This artbook is looking tempting by the way. Love that cover. I've preordered the CollarxMalice artbook, so depending on my satisfaction with that and my final impression of Tierblade, I might have to snag this book too.

Recently finished Lamento. Better than I expected.

It incorporated the whole cat ears thing well into its fantasy setting and it felt like there was some RPG influence in there sometimes. All the guys were likeable and it wasn't a drag to get through any routes. The devils ended up surprisingly likeable too. I was fully expecting them to be annoying edgelords but they were just funny instead.

I liked that Konoe talked back to rude people and generally didn't take shit from anyone, but he did bug me a little sometimes. I guess I wish he had more agency and wasn't so childishly stubborn at some inappropriate moments.

Also the finale trips on itself, but that seems to be the norm for N+C.

Probably going to get myself to finish Yoshiwara Higanbana next.

The premise isn't great, but you'll money slap youkais. The HS scenes were rather funny for me, and the MC's tsukkomi.

I only played two routes and they were different from what I expected, and in a good way, that's not even half of the game though. Might not be a masterpiece but it's not bad so far.

Just finished replaying Ken ga Kimi in preparation for Momoyotsuzuri and I love the soundtrack to bits. Some of the endings are a bit strange or lackluster but overall the story, dialogue and voice acting is great. I personally didn't like a few characters all that much but probably that's just me personally.
Oh and I hate that I can't switch the mouth animation off on the vita.

Other than that Atelier Firis is in the mail, but it is to wait until after new years until I play it probably.

Kenka Banchou Otome. The minigame isn't as annoying as I expected on replays; the map selections interrupting skipping are worse.
I really enjoyed Konparu and was happy with how things went after the girl reveal. Then I did Mirako and he was pretty much everything I didn't want. On Kira now.

I'm sad it'll probably the last otoge I play for a while. All the upcoming releases I'm interested in are other games.

Otomate artbooks are usually good quality, but the type of sections they get tend to vary so I wouldn't decide whether to get one based on another. If the lack of certain content would be a deal breaker for you I'd suggest waiting for reviews. For example the Psychedelica artbook had no rough designs and wasted half the book on cg lineart; something I haven't seen any other of their artbooks do.

On that topic I got the Shirayuki artbook recently and it was excellent. Nice dual cover, comprehensive collection of promo illustrations, new rough sketches and SS exclusively for the book and two pages of rough designs for each guy.
It also had some deep and thought provoking comments from Kinako including "guys look great when they cry".

Started Haitaka, and I'm already enjoying it more than I expected. Especially the parts where our MC 'crossdresses'. Absolutely adorable.
Though the map parts are really slow, especially the first one. The second one was better since some of the short stories were really adorable (like the one with Levi hiding).
I'm not farther than the second map yet, about how many maps are there total? And how are they spread out, like, are they all around the second chapter or more spread out?

By the way, Levi best boy, he only needs to get rid of those horrible pink hairs.

I got burned out on the map stories after the first few and then only read the necessary amount to progress. I don't regret doing it that way since having some cute SOL to go back to after the first playthrough was nice, but with revelations involving certain characters later on it made some of them harder to enjoy.

I only played for a while then deleted the app because there are better rhythm games than this, in my opinion.

Rhythm maps are good enough, lots of songs to choose from. Expert maps are fun. There are 3 options for the live, I don't know the difference between the first two options. CGI looks smooth and not cringey at all.

Gacha is surprisingly cheap, or maybe that's just me. Cards looks meh though.

Anybody listened to the latest Dark Night Princess volume yet? It wasn't as dark and creepy as the previous Cinderella volume.
