Heres how we fix PVP templates:

Base template for every item slot.
If equipped item is below 800 it gets ignored and instead you will have a template applied in that slot.

Every item above 800 gets rescaled to your bg iLevel.

This allows you to stack versatility/mastery/crit etc.
Gives more freedom in stat choices, you cant survive? stack versatility gear.
You could find niche stat builds for tanks even.

They have huge burst aoe. Just get Sow the Seeds + Grimoire of Sacrifice.
I mean honestly as a fresh 110 last month i remember doing like 500k aoe in maw because of these 2 abilities. Also if anything dies your dps just goes into overdrive.

The problem with affliction is that they made the spec center around KILLING units which was an awful idea for raids.

In moderation the garrison stuff is fine, as long as it doesn't turn back into single location instanced with only you and a bunch of mini mechanics. If the new big fort place is shared with people that alone will at least make it nicer to be at.

There's literally no way Blizzard can successfully salvage what they turned SPriests into.

They either need to scrap Surrender to Madness entirely and slot in something else that's still very powerful or they'll just nerf StM into the ground to make it half useless thinking they successfully curbed them balance wise.

Overall it's not a difficult process it's just time consuming.

Helps if you load up the textures in a 3D program like blender and "preview" changes before bothering to check them in-game.

The UV maps are quite fucked up especially around the armpit and crotch so triple checking is never too much. And something you can quick-load in the textures is better for testing than relying on the game itself because that requires an exit and relaunch each time you wanna look at the changes.

Affliction has NO problems with survivability. That is a l2p issue with you.

Also Affliction is the top 15th most represented spec in arena above 2k. beating out all other warlock specs. Beating out ALL hunter specs and Demon Hunters, Windwalkers etc.

I asked you a question: how good do you want Affliction to be? They are #2 in raids overall and if they want to be better at single-target then they need to address the Affliction artefact and its aoe capabilities. If they jsut casually upped Afflictions single target it would be the #1 DPS spec in EN.
