The thing is, Fatz has done what pretty much NO other artist has done in terms of the fanart, which is not going off the rails and making the story batshit insane, but rather working within the confines of what we actually know.

You don't look at it and go "oh sweet spaghetti, there is NO way that could happen." and it breaks the illusion.

Fatz keeps it lower brow and puts so much thought into it that it does what it should do; simply act like an extension of the story.

I know this is bait but I actually sort of agree, DR's premise might be a huge leap and some of the characterization is off but at least Fatz always comes off as wanting to just keep experimenting and making content. Most other AU writers, especially for SAVEfics, go so deep into head canon for every little insignificant thing that you can tell they're not interested in content or stories, they just want to make their knockoff fantasy world as "real" as possible in their own heads. It's totally impenetrable.

I was never a huge DR fan but these days it kind of leads the pack by default since its creator keeps trying new/interesting stuff without drama whoring all the time. The only other really noteworthy SAVEfic writer like that was CourierNew and he wasn't nearly as popular or prolific.

One day, when Asgore and Toriel were busy with royal stuff, Asriel asked how humans' insides look like. Chara offered to show them, but didn't know how to do it. Asriel then asked her to eat him because he saw it in one cartoon once. Chara couldn't say "no" to her best friend and brother, so, she tried to swallow him. Unfortunately, he was too big and Chara's mouth was too small. But she was determined. Her jaw was torn off by the time Asriel's head reached her stomach, but it didn't stop her and neither did his cries of pain. Once she was done with it, she had dislocated many bones in her torso and her neck bursted open, but she was too determined to die. Uuuunfortunately, there was no way out for Asriel. Not before their parents returned at least.
When their parents returned, they were greeted by horrifying sight of Chara with no lower jaw, disfigured neck and horribly bloated belly with something moving inside it. Chara couldn't explain what the fuck is going on. Fortunately, Asriel could speak loudly enough for them to hear, but neither Dreemurr had the guts to remove Asriel directly. All they could do is patch up Chara's wounds to make her at least presentable to the public.
And so they were stuck like this for few days until Chara's stomach finally bursted open when Asriel moved too much. He was horribly disfigured and burnt by gastruc acid, but alive nonetheless. They agreed to never try out anything like this ever again. But hey, at least Chara stayed silent for some time. It was disgusting seeing their tongue wiggle with nothing beneath it, but it was worth it.

You are talking about the Genocide Route, Which was what I was talking about when I said "give them Power". Also how do we know that she is the one with the Powers and not us. From optional Dialogue in the genocide route it is Implied that anyone with enough Determination can have these Powers (The other fallen children had them) So we don't know if she had them in the Past but I really don't think she has them now (being a ghost which cannot Produce Determination on it's own).
We also know only one Person at a time can have these Powers (i.e. Flowey loses them as soon as Frisk shows up.)

When they are ready to erase the world and after they do it, we can't do anything about it. We have to give Frisk's soul for them to perform True Reset and bring the world back to how it was. LOVE would not give them such ability because it's just a measure of one's capacity to hurt. They also ask you since when you were the one in control. Therefore, they always could do all of those timeline things, but they still allow you to abort the run because you haven't gone far enough.
It's not like Chara receives LOVE anyway. Frisk does. They become homicidal while Chara is already homicidal except unlike Frisk, they don't kill people just because it feels good.

I wanted to make a game all about that possibility in RPG maker, as a matter of fact. There wouldn't be any combat, just comfy times and lots of flavor text with Toriel and friends. There'd be a day/night cycle and some scripted events. The furthest you'd go is Snowdin, but with Toriel's supervision, and from there you'd be able to meet Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, and Alphys. Catty and Bratty would have a cart they'd bring once a week to sell you junk, and you could buy stuff for your room or gifts for Toriel.
This is all just a concept as of right now, since I suck at programming and stuff like that. Maybe someday
