Besides the war I presume
Also holy fuck the nigger is insufferable
I DON'T GET FREE MISSIONARIES AND MISSIONARIES DON'T START WITH GREATER TELEPORTATION ANYWAY ASSHOLE
Can you even play tall in Civ 6?
I feel like I'm just crippling myself playing this way.
>>159380868
>Nothing is affecting your relationship Edition
I wonder how many anons don't realise that it lists ongoing modifier to relation per turn rather then totals, which is displayed in the above bar.
>>159267431
Offer still stands.
If I get Endless Legend on the humble store can I put it on steam? I have Endless Legend on steam already but I want to get all of the DLC mega cheap.
>>159381280
It's such a cf to work through tho with distrust on all sides I bet it puts people off of taking you up on the offer anon. Thanks for trying.
>>159381210
Absolutely not and it makes me sad. Playing tall was fun RPing for me in V.
Anything other than wide is like you said, just self-crippling.
>>159381468
Tall was optimal in 5 tho. As much as I liked wide it was the less competitive of the two.
>>159381409
And yet you may never know. I already did this at random in /twg/ and here. Some people believe and roll, some don't. I'd just post a humblebundle code, but I don't want someone just grabbing it. At least rolling for it is an effort someone who doesn't want the game in question is less likely to perform.
What do you guys think of Endless Space 2? Haven't played any game in the series but it looks interesting.
i posted this before but no one replied so i'm asking here again. i'm playing civ6 btw because i'm a new fag
guys. am in desperate need of help here. i'm currently getting fucked over by ghandi and his religion.(my religion called memeology started REALLY late) and now whatever religious units i make (like apostles) preach the hinduism religion. what do? i dont wanna lose like this. i'm still new to civilisation.
>>159381262
I'm well aware of it, and I made the OP pic. Kongo declared joint war on me the second their scout discovered my borders. The joint war was with another civilization I hadn't even mt.
In Stellaris is it possible to have AI empires NOT draw from the pre-made "default" ones?
Like if I made a human empire can I make it so the two vanilla human empires won't spawn?
It would be awkward to have two Sol systems for example.
>>159381262
It certainly doesn't make it clear in any way.
>>159381826
You can't do anything as far as religion. If you wipe out Gandhi though he can't win religiously anymore.
>>159381808
Understandably incomplete (it's early access after all), but with a release schedule terrifies me.
>>159382023
i guess i'll become a warmonger then. we were friends but i guess that ends now. rip ghandi. i chose Tomyris(Scythian empire) so endless horse units
>>159382207
>horses
>not nukes
Ghandi would be disappointed.
>>159381826
>new to game
>doesn't want to lose even though anon doesn't know what they're doing
Take a deep breath, and start a new game. You think you're getting worse before you get better.
Yeeeaaah
Yeeeaaah
>>159382413
i'll start a new game after i go down in glory. i previously played with Greece(the lady) but Tomyris is quickly becoming my favorite leader
>>159381808
It's alpha. As is - worse than ES, long term - too soon to tell.
>>159381846
Ai loves dogpiling for the sake of easy territory. I approve. Shouldn't have made walls mandatory if they didn't want this to happen.
>>159382023
>It certainly doesn't make it clear in any way.
That it does not.
>You can't do anything as far as religion. If you wipe out Gandhi though he can't win religiously anymore.
You, technically, can. If you manage to introduce a sufficent number of different religions to cities neigbouring to your holy city, destabilising it's balance, you will eventually get it to flip back to your faith cause holy site of holy city always makes pressure. Not that this is feasible or worth doing.
>>159382365
i get another saka horse archer for training one saka horse archer anon. i can make a saka horse archer in 3 turns thankfully. so i have some decent sustain in my opinion.
Goddamnit just put the fuckin' workshop out already you dumb sluts.
>tfw first city is founded within 6 tiles of Yosemite
>>159382761
>i get another saka horse archer for training one saka horse archer anon
No you don't understand anon, everyone knows this. Scythia is bar none the most overpowered nation in the game right now, it's literally in a tier of its own. In multiplayer games you either ban Scythia or play Scythia unless you want to lose like a bitch.
>>159381385
Yes.
>>159382761
Meant that the only proper way to defeat Ghandi is through nukes. Nuke up his cities before he does yours.
I know I can google these questions but it's not always easy to find the answers, so let's see how knowledge you guys are.
In Civ6:
Does the trade route distance matter? If I pick a trade route that gives half the resources as a trade route with twice the distance, does it essentially even out?
What exactly is the downside to creating multiple cities? Is there none?
Do the medics heal everything? By how much? I never actually see them do their thing, and a lack of a combat log sucks.
>>159383102
i intend to win then. thx for confirming my suspicions that scythia was immensely overpowered. the only real problem i can see with them is that you need to get farely lucky and get horses nearby for a free early game lead.
>>159383229
oh ok. neither of us are capable of nukes rn tho. we're still in the renaissance era. i'm building a ton of units right outside my boundaries.
>>159382019
I don't think there is, and it bothers me aswell. It pisses me off when I've put a few hours into a game only to find my species on the other side of the galaxy as bronze age primitives or as a fucking fallen empire or something.
The game needs a simple option in game creation to force original species with no double ups. Keep it optional to appease both parties, of course.
Reminder that the current best stellaris ethos combo is F.Individualist + materialist
>>159384156
what gov type? I've generally always gone collectivist because I want my empire pure but I make try a happy friendly empire next
So what does the current tier-list look like? Scythia is obviously at the top, but who's at the bottom and in-between?
>>159384156
I prefer fanatical spiritualist, but to each their own.
Personally, I usually wait until I get the empire building, upgrade my government to transcended empire and keep the encourage free thought edict permanently on. Works a treat.

What IDIOT designed this new movement system?
>>159384821
this seems about right to me desu.
germany has finally revealed themselves and they're aparently not trying to make wars this time.
>>159384915
if i'm not mistaken saka horse archers require horses to be created. thus y'know. the horse in name saka horse archers.it'd only make sense desu.
>>159384932
it infuriates me at times as well anon.
I'm about to start with stellaris, any advices?
>>159384821
Where ya boi Montezuma at?
>>159385508
>A.Rome,Germany,Monty
I wonder.
>le epic words backed by nuclear weapons maymay!
:^)))

>if i'm not mistaken saka horse archers require horses to be created. thus y'know. the horse in name saka horse archers.it'd only make sense desu.
>being this retarded.
>>159385869
man this looks so fucking bad. what were they thinking?
>>159386541
You know perfectly well.
>>159386541
Consoles. Why do you think they have delayed the workshop.
>>159386002
:/. welp. you need horses to produce this unit what else do i need to tell you?
Justo had to nuke one of my own cities to kill 5 barbarian units spawned mainly due to lack of fucking ammenities.
>>159387326
Are you playing dumb? No you dont. Everyone knows they have horse factories newfag. It's like he thinks romans need steel to make their famous copper pikes.
>>159387326
>still pushing it
No anon, you're not gonna meme your way out of it. Just admit it to your self and move on.
>When its turn 40 and they dont have a fleet of warships.
>>159385302
build second science ship immediately
focus on minerals before all else
only colonise planets with 20+ tiles unless you're shit out of options and then get the highest ones
keep fleet near max capacity, especially early because pirates and other galactic faggots
>>159385869
The UI is just unforgivably shit.
>>159387825
>when Harald is landlocked
I'm about to try and play this smug motherfucker. Any advice on how to play early-to-mid game?
>>159388051
Doesn't Harald have a hard coastal start bias?
>>159388330
I've started inland more than a few times trying to play him.
>>159388303
Like a Jew.
>>159388303
why is his hands and head so small
this makes me feel weird.
how do promotions work with combining units into armies?
>>159388303
Anything that has to do with mercs, buyout and dust is high prio. You still need production in capital cause early on buying shit out is bad. Moving city is a useless gimmick. That's about it.
>>159388330
The game im in right now i started land locked with him and it was on an islands map. Although i was only 2 tiles from the coast so if i really wanted i could of.
Isnt it usually better to be landlocked in 6 anyway?
>>159387538
>>159387651
alright i admit it. i was being an idiot. :/
so how's everyone's day been?
>>159388495
The army has the promotion of the unit it is combining with I think
>>159388815
Could be better, the thread I browse might not have someone using actual unironic reddit tier emotesseriously fucking stop it
>>159387987
plebbit loved it until they actually had to play with it
it's so bad even they hate it
>>159388889
:^)
>Ocean is bad compared to fresh water
I hate this new system so much.
Why can't my lighthouse provide decent food to compensate for this?
So i'm about to start stellaris what traits should i pick for my empire? Are the Oversized ships any good?
>>159389061
because there arent any fish?
>>159388889
sorry. i will
>>159388764
I mean not necessarily on the coast, but in range to easily found your capital on it within 2 turns.
>>159389061
It's true. Ocean towns with no access to river are shit. Problem is the awful aqueduct system. That is definitely getting changed.
>>159388991
It's not even the style or how it looks
It's just bad at doing everything a UI, a USER INTERFACE, is supposed to do. It doesn't display much information or make that information clear, it isn't USER friendly, it doesn't actually fucking have a lot of information, and you need to click ten buttons in the most random places to get the info you need. On top of that the fucking double diplo meme got old the first time I saw it.
>>159388541
What about resource focus? I was thinking
Early
Ind > F > S > D > Inf
Later
D > S > Inf > F > Ind
what's the easiest way to siege a capital and with what recommended units.
>>159389485
the workshop can't come soon enough
i fear only modders can fix a fuck-up this monumental
we need infoaddict except even more thorough
>>159389596
literally anything with a seige tower glued to it
>>159389596
If no walls, and no units in it
>strongest melee units
If no walls and has an archer/warrior in it
>Strongest melee units backed up by archers
If city has walls
>Bring a siege tower, and if a long campaign siege weapons
why is there no way to damage units inside a city
>AI with walls, archer and ranged boat
reee
>>159388490
Aren't anime characters like that?
The Japanese like small heads to slim bodies for some reason
>>159389076
Any fanatic ethics other than spiritualist or individualist are useless
>ai has a tundra area behind them that has luxury and bonus resources
>they keep trying to settle the plains between all my cities
cut it out
Why do I need an encampment to half my resource cost? What's the logic behind it?
>>159389981
No they aren't, not at all.
>>159389981
nah
proper anatomy is like 1:3 head width to shoulder width
anime usually has a larger head and smaller frame
sandjew is fairly broad-shouldered(the pauldrons don't help) with a slightly small head
>end turn
>trajan talks shit to you and declares war on you
>cleopatra does as well
>realize I'm playing trajan
the fuck
Hopefully it doesn't fuck my game over
>>159389875
>>159389812
thx. i was wondering why my knights were being obliterated. i'll send sieg towers next time.
>>159390568
It's a bug. Have you met every civ yet? It can happen if a joint war is declared without meeting one of the participants.
why is civ 6 so shit? balancing issues and whatnot aside it just seems really boring. Was civ 5 as boring at launch?
>>159390761
Civ 5 launch was infinitely worse.
>>159390761
Civ V was a dumpster fire at launch.
>>159390264
>>159390206
Well I'm not talking about mature characters. Immature or younger characters always have big head compared to the body, but with mature characters it's always really slim body and really slim head.
>>159390750
Nah I've met 3/10, good to know though.
>>159390761
>Was civ 5 as boring at launch
It was just unplayable. Almost R2 tier.
>hey AoW looks neat I'll try it out
>Fuck yes it has a GoG version
>KAT is dead
>BCG is dead
>all the links on IGG are dead
>try SRLD DDL
>this file contains malware
Why
Why don't you start with a scout in Civ 6
Everyone builds one, and you only don't build one if you're vs AI at immortal/deity
i've been pillaged by barbarians recently. i wiped them out then stationed a builder on the pillaged area but i've no option to repair. is there something i'm missing?
>>159391014
But it isn't...?
>>159391273
it's along the builder's action bar, not with the improvements
Builders are for tile improvement repair.
Check your city's production, one of the options is to repair districts
>>159389582
I like to micro my food to maintain good growth, other than that I concur.
>>159391014
>>159391305
In case you think Esdese is too 'sexy' and doesn't count.
>>159391342
apparently it isnt. i have to manually repair the unit using the city the same way i built it. i dont quite understand why but whatever. i'll do what has to done to reclaim all my ammenities. i'm 7 ammenities down rn
>>159391394
i just noticed my bad. you replied as i was typing my error
>>159391470
>>159384821
Where's based Teddy?
>>159391515
I don't blame you, this UI is a mess. It's all good.
>>159391601
Hell I knew I missed somethign, Teddy is C. He is good lategame but being mostly vanilla early hurts a lot.
>>159391595
>jojo's distinctive artstyle that has reached meme status
>meaning shit about 'anime' in general
Come on now, do you think people do those poses in every anime too?
>>159391273
>>159391515
builders can't repair districts, they have to be repaired in the build menu of the city. Builders can only repair farms, mines, etc
>>159391752
Sounds fair. While I have you, why rank Japan that high? Because of the district discounts?
>>159391802
that's acdc, numbnuts
>>159391862
And the bonuses, natch.
>>159391868
Are you baiting? ACDC is from Jojo.
>>159391852
i noticed. no worries. the only real worry i have now is with the state of my city and how long it'll last till they completely revolt. i wasted several turns trying to figure out how to repair my shit.
Finally find the time to sit down and play a game through to completion, and I get sniped by Pedro with a religious victory. Is there anything you can do to shut them down once the AI is getting close to a religious victory?
>>159391862
Because A would be going too far in all honesty due to coastal bias. Altho I am tempted. Sakura factories are insanely OP as far as unique infrastracture goes, they and german stuff is top tier.
The next thing Firaxis should borrow from Amplitude is UI design.
>if your first 3 districts are anything besides Encampment -> Commercial -> Industrial you're literally guaranteed to get railroaded by someone who did
well, I don't know what I expected.
>>159392056
>In case you think Esdese is too 'sexy' and doesn't count.
germany has been talking to me for the past couple turns and complaining about my cities distance to his. there's a literal ocean between both of us. why's he such a whiny bitch in every mode i play?
>>159392102
convert any of their converted cities, they dont necessarily have to be owned by pedro
or
wipe pedro off the face of the earth
>play as England
>get warred on by Greece, Kongo, and Norway in one turn
>war weariness stacks up and citizens starting becoming barbarians
>barbarians are redcoats so they get the +10 continent bonus everywhere
>start moving into Kongo
>slowly destroy Kongo for me
Well, that worked out surprisingly
>>159392280
I just posted Zenjurou though.
>>159392427
Brits rebelling that crown is not imperialistic enough? Sounds like brits.
>>159390750
Seems you were right. I met Kongo, and he was like, i'm so happy to meet you, i can see you are blessed by god and shit, then I look at the top right and we're at war. This game feels so damn rushed. They needed at least a few months more to make what's there polished.
>>159392261
No way, it's Commercial => Industrial => Encampment imo
>>159392718
>Not rushing apprenticeship.

Hahahahaha no. Nobody like hypocritical space hippies.
>>159393298
Trying to define actual factions with stellarises inadequate systems just highlights how bad stellaris is. They are spiritualist and materialist both. They are cyborgs for fuck's sake.
>>159392450
Is this a jojoke?
>>159393714
You are an idiot. Spiritualists are not anti-technology and Materialists pro-technology you fucking neckbeard fedora faggot.
The Advent are fanatical spiritualists because they prioritize spiritual understandings of the universe vs material understandings of the universe.
Spiritual =/= organized religion
>>159394050
I seriously don't understand what a neckbeard is
Is it like, a failed beard? Why not get rid of it if it don't work then?
>>159394159
It's a boogeyman. It supposely mean a guy who doesn't shave properly, and thus has hair on his neck, when normal people only have it on their chin.
>>159394050
>Spiritualists
>not anti-technology
>Our science has proved that Consciousness begets reality. We regard with patience the childlike efforts of those who delude themselves it is the other way around, as they play with their blocks of 'hard matter'.
>Literally denying objective universe and with it scientific method.
>Being unhappy if robots given any rights.
You gonna bait, try harder.
>>159394050
>>159394272
It refers to fatasses who don't shave. Fatasses often look like they lack a goddamn neck and the fat that hangs beneath their chin creates more a second neck. They grow their beard there, thus creating the illusion that they're so far gone they've begun growing hair on their neck.

>>159394576

is the planet they occupied the one in their war demands?
>>159395121

They're always like

>"do I holy eyes spot an infidel?"
>"PREPARE YOUR ANUS YOU BOWL-HAIRED, KNIFE-EARED PIECE OF SHIT WANKSTAIN FAGGOT, I WILL ERADICATE YOUR ASS FROM REALITY AND RAPE YOUR DAUGHTER IN FRONT OF YOU BEFORE MURDERING AND EATING YOUR WIFE, YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT, I HATE YOU"
>"maaaan, I'm such a good person, why can't our enemies see the folly of their ways?"

even more so given i set it to 25% habitable worlds
>>159395456
It's almost like .. Planets of Hats are bad. Noooo, that can't be.

>>159395456
Oh, yeah, no doubt -- religious fanatics are assholes.'Member no ISIS?
>>159395715
The TECs are bad in SoaSE? From the manual, I was under the impression they just banned the Advent when they could have easily exterminated them.

what the fuck? I have never seen planets so rich in resources.

>>159395901
And they did that like a thousand years ago; they've long since developed into a peaceful, borderline post-scarcity civilization.
>>159395418

its probably because of how poorly developed what i occupied is
You guys are really catty today huh?

>>159396019
I remember the manual explaining that most of the TEC ships are repurposed civilian ships. Fucking advents are slaughtering innocent people for their twisted way.
>>159396161
It's seriously like two stone-age tribes getting into a scuffle, one tribe leaving, then coming back during the industrial era and still holding the same grudge.
It's ludicrous.
>>159395231
>>159384156
I'm assuming it's Direct Democracy, for the Happiness and Leader Experience bonuses.
>>159395901
>>159396019
>>159396267
Yeah, and trail of tears was just a nice walk under the sun, that everyone quickly forgot about. TEC is a military branch of a stagnant plutocracy, split between people who want to bunker up and people who want to take revenge on Vasary/Advent.
>>159396267
Yeah. It would make sense if there was some sort of nazi-like genocide, but the TEC aren't even an empire, they're just traders. In the worst case, they could be evil corporations, but nothing in the manual suggested that. For all I saw, they're just peaceful traders who don't want religious nutjob around and suddenly have to fight to the death.
>>159396013
I've seen one or two before with that many minerals, but never the energy and food
definitely never found anything like this before for sure.
>dual tiles

Regular individualist lets you ignore policy happiness a little
Fanatic individualist lets you COMPLETELY ignore policy happiness, which therefore allows you to COMPLETELY ignore ethics divergence
Any stellaris build requires either
A) complete ethics control
B) complete ethics mitigation
Government depends on which secondary ethic you choose, which is completely optional

There's a good one food/four hammer tile with deer on it.

More like Huns. There's no nation like Korea or Babylon in civ6 since science is so low priority and there's no civs that fully focus on it. The unit production is the king right now and Scythia does it better than anyone else. Sumer is close second place due to endless upkeep-free war carts.

Other than that, just being Venice and rolling in the dough while controlling World Congress. There's just something so fun about only being able to have one city.
How did the CIV genre became so incredibly fucking boring?
The first 100 turns are great as you shape your empire n shit, but after that its a massive snorefest.
You just spam builders and traderoutes all day, maybe 2k gold each round and as soon as war breaks out, you just buy 10 of the best units, steamroll ANYONE on the highest difficulty and thats it.
Its so fucking boring, there is no engaging gameplay, the AI is retarded and does nothing, every turn is the same after turn ~150 or so, nothing exciting happens. you completely dominate the city states at all times and even all AI's combined literally cannot touch you.

Is tall still better than wide? Food still prioritised over everything else? What are some good city settle timings?
Why is culture so fucking useless?
Two questions.
First, are the dangerous techs in Stellaris worth researching?
Secondly, if you research sentient AI, but don't build any androids, will anything happen to you?
>>159416274
>First, are the dangerous techs in Stellaris worth researching?
Usually, yes. They might trigger an endgame crisis, but unless you're rushing like crazy you can deal with them. The gains usually outweigh the possible disadvantages.
>Secondly, if you research sentient AI, but don't build any androids, will anything happen to you?
No. AI only gets dangerous once you get the final upgrade to build Synthetics, and even then you can just give them citizien rights and be pretty safe. But it's no gurantee. If another empire builds tons of Synths and treats them like shit until they trigger a crisis your Synths will rebel, too.

what's an effective way to get new species into mysynthempire in stellaris?
by war and cede planet?
I usually enjoy the hell out of covert infiltration
Is it valid to win a war against an empire and force it into being my vassal and then integrate them?
ok my fellow Stellaris players, what would you choose to fix to make the game better?
Diplomacy needs a massive fix, if you are in a federation AI's will always vote NO for whatever you want to do, be it war with someone obviously weaker or inviting other races into the federation, especially when they are weaker. It's like AI doesn't see benefit in amassing many small empires in the federation to boost the overall strenght.
Next thing would be war politics, i am steamrolling the AI burning all his planets to ashes while his fleet is nothing but debris so i decide to ask him to surrender earlier:
>HAHA YOU ARE LOSING THIS WAR FAGGOT I WILL NEVER SURRENDER
Or even protectorate/vassalisation stuff.
AI is 1-2 planet stain inside my fuckhuge empire so i decide to be nice and vassalise them:
>NO WAY FUCK OFF FREEDOM AND SHIT YOU ARE WEAK
which also follows with insults from them, it's like they wish to die instead of follow politics logic.
Another thing would be a way to somehow boost chances of certain end-game crisis' to happen because after 100 hours of play i have never seen anything else than Unbidden which is total faggotry.
My personal wish is to be able to play as full Synth race or something with set style of play for the RP purposes.
For minor fix maybe more planet/space events or stuff akin to the Leviathans DLC. It actually made stuff a bit more interesting

good diplomacy is probably highest priority for me
ability to build a tall empire is another comfy addition, right now even if you tech up massively you need to expand a certain amount just to have the raw fleet size to hold your territories
non militaristic ways to deal with certain crisis would be fun too, a way to lure the swam away or to create a virus or something to kill off the ai rebellion
a gods playground type of map where every empire is a fallen emprie could be fun but something like this is probably bottom of the list and exists as a mod
for your synth race there is a mod that lets you play as robots
>from tribal villages you can get a heal or an XP bonus for your scout/military unit
>or +1 to your fucking population

It's not even about the AI in diplomacy, it's about the system they made. You have a very hard time freeing yourself from vassalage, ending wars, fixing things, making demands etc. It's stupid that in the year 3500 you can't say "hey sorry alien empire, I kinda like this planed I ocupied after I declared war, so i'm keeping it". So people who prefer playing Tall should play V, and those who prefer playing Wide should play VI. So what's the secret as Xenophobic in Stellaris. I decided to play Commonwealth as Man which are militant and xenophobic, and I found a good primitive world close to me that had the Strong trait, which are now my soldier race.
Problem is that the more I play the more Ethics Divergence I get so more and more people are not accepting of either slavery or purging, which is causing me to lose a crapton of happiness on several worlds. A lot of my influence is now being used to suppress groups, and there are several factions that want independence. Things only got worse when I annexed some worlds from my enemies.
What's the most difficult game-speed in Civ 6?
Standard is fine, but i'd like to know how to make Deity even HARDER.

>>159439216

quick is easier because the AI starts with 5 warriors 3 builders 3 settlers

>>159439147

>>159439892
The main advantage of xenophobic isn't slavery/genocide, but ability to do whatever the fuck you want with primitives. It means they become useful much much faster than xenophile. That being said, neutral is pretty much the same, so why bother.

>>159444729
No one ever explains exactly what a nerve stapling is. It is understood to be some form of brute medical imposition, an outrage that is felt but never seen, a thing so shameful and necessary that those who bluster its defense do so with averted eyes and violent fanaticism. How else could it be? It must be done. Of this we all admit, even we who do not admit it and abhor the revolting procedure and its fascist, terrifying finality. It must be done.
Are we to allow the drones their unrestrained impulses, their base and inhuman lack of self control? They will puncture the walls. In their stupidity and selfishness they will breach the membranes that protect us from Planet and its air, its toxic gases and hostile life forms. The worms are out there and they want us, want to feed on our dreams and carcasses, to lay eggs in putrid masses and use us to feed their larvae. We cannot risk the continuity of our physical existence on account of these undeserving, out of control savages.
They are changed afterwards, in all the ways we know they must be. They shuffle, speak slowly, and look at us with unfocused slowness. We are grateful for the order that comes with the newly stapled but deep within us we still sense their anger and fear their suppressed resentment. We fear that one day it will erupt and that even in their dazed, smothered imbecility they will see us for the tyrants we are and so give us what we deserve.
I am for the staplings. They are indefensible, unacceptable, barbaric acts of basest expedience. No society, no matter how great its need, can admit of so nakedly inappropriate an abuse of power. Official force must be circumscribed, its application limited to clearly defined scenarios and justifiable limits. There can be no justification for these things we do.
Yet there were are. It must be done.
>>159444729
>Nerve Stapler (TLS(P)): A device originally designed for psychotherapy, but often applied on both Earth and Planet to deal with social dissension. When strapped to a patient's head and upper back, the nerve stapler extrudes hair-fine probes into his brain and spinal column. A psychotherapist can then use the device to inflict extreme sensations (not necessarily pain) on the patient, subjecting him to a rapid course of psychological conditioning.
A big fat sack of NOPE is what it is.

>everything falls apart when you actually start playing since most of the "content" is either kind of pointless and the AI is simply too dumb to have any kind of enjoyable experience
can someone explain the civ5 is good meme to me?
any kind of warfare is complete joke where you mow down anything the AI has with archers (exactly as in civ6 right now) with basically zero loses. of course this is balanced by the OP as fuck city defenses (until you get something which outranges them) so if you actually want to siege a city before artillery, you are now the AI that throws all your units to die at enemy city so you can get some siege units in position to take it over.
oh well, i guess i'll just play a diplomatic game and enjoy all the features that don't include warfare then. which results in either:
>500 turns of "next turn" snoozefest where nothing is going on until someone meets victory condition because civ games never had enough depth in the city management alone to be fun without any warfare
or
>AI will bully you through religion/world congress or simply hate you for no reason and denounce/dow you, which would be absolutely fine if it didn't meant that you are now back to square one dealing with braindead combat AI

Is there any point to not giving Synths their citizen rights? They don't even get any bonuses from being enslaved. In fact they get MORE production because of the happiness bonus when they're free!

How would Civ V style culture victory work anyway?
Suddenly you win, because everyone listen to your pop music? In other words, in my case it would mean every kid on the world thinking of Holo as their idol?
Domination, World Leader, Space Race are kinda clear (except for Space Race, but nah, it could be about possibility of spreading your civ to other planets, essentially final proof of your greatness). But cultural?

Its like the game even knows coast tiles are shitty they never seem to expand on them naturally.
Maybe they should add things like a Marina improvement that adds food or gold and gets better with specific harbor buildings. Also feels like it was a mistake to make crabs a bonus improvement instead of luxury.
Maybe something like sea world that you can build if its adjacent to a entertainment district or a fish/whales tile.
That being said ive had fun this map because coastal raider on island maps is fun. Just toss on the pillage bonuses when i go to war and have your fill of all the stuff on the shore.

ultimately an individualist society where the people are kept happy even with their ethics divergence will produce more than a society that relies on slaves, as individualists can just use robots instead of slaves for a superior alternative

My question is: when you're attacking a ranged unit with another ranged unit, is your ranged combat strength compared to their ranged or their melee combat strength?
We've suspended for a later date, but I want to run some numbers.
Its so fucking hot today and now my laptop is overheating playing Stellaris.
Help.

Stop playing until it gets cooler.
>>159481281

Yeah, straya. Its like 40 fucking degrees outside and it's only November. Kill me.
I can't play shit with this heat.
>>159481947
Are you sure she's human, anon?
How far is it possible to expand your boarders for one city. Can it ever have more than 3 tiles radius?
>>159481947
they might be related

It's a curator, every other xenos in my empire is toiling away in the mines.
>>159481723
It is fun, but limited.
>>159482618
To expand upon this, if you do get it, play it like you would a demo or a tutorial for when the game is fully released.

>Does the trade route distance matter? If I pick a trade route that gives half the resources as a trade route with twice the distance, does it essentially even out?
What? No. The trade route's listed rewards is generated every single turn it's active, distance is irrelevant.
Anyone else been to the 4chan frontpage recently? The fucking /s4s/-tan is up next to the logo. Hiro's at it again.
>>159383359
I think traders take longer to finish (as in be able to start a new route) the longer the distance.
>pick yermany
>suzerain of every city state in the game
am i doing it wrong?
>>159482797
OST still seems great, I expected nothing less there. Still worried about the game itself though.
>>159483174
>picking germany
Very wrong.
>>159483174
Definitely.
The game just randomly lets my Computer crash.
Did anybody experience anything similar and has a solution?
Just blackscreens on me and the cooler goes into overdrive.
Specs are
8GB RAM
i7-3770 3.4 GHz
GPU is GTX 780ti
Windows 7
>>159483338
Which game?
>>159483440
Civ 6
Have any decent fantasy 4Xs come out in the past few years? Outside of Endless Legend.
>>159482454
>>159482396
She was a governor, then chief executive for a long time (80 years at least, maybe more). I think her experience reseted after not being reelected.
>>159483296
Well a few people on the forums did some xml editing and found that things like terraforming and such were already in-game and fully functional, but were locked due to early access stuff.
>>159386541
I like it.
>>159483174
You don't have that combat bonus so you can buddy up with them.
>>159483937
but i'm trying to change the way of the germanic anon
no more bloodthirsty warmongering against any and all
>>159473093
lmao a third of the staff are token minorities and tumblrettes. pretty much exactly what i expected
So how exactly do luxuries work in civ 6?
If I have lets say, 2 dyes, will working them give me 2 times amenities or do they not stack?
If they dont stack then theyre pointless since the ressources arent global anymore, are they?
>>159473093
I can't believe NO ONE has pointed out George Lopez next to the tumblrina
>>159485389
There's also the one dude lying down on the ground like one of your french girls
>>159485376
They do no stack. The point is to trade them, the same as Civ V.
>>159485812
Can I trade them to my other towns?
Why arent they global anymore, they AI never fucking trades with you anyways.
At best they trade all your ressources against the dirt under their toenails, what a retarded system.
Is there any mod for Civ VI that allows you to zoom the map out more? I feel like I can barely look at the world even when playing on a small map.
>>159485991
No. It's not a realistic system (why can't all my cities have citrus?), just game balance I guess.
If you don't mind abusing the AI you can usually fiddle with the deal until you get one overwhelming in your favor.
So amenities from Entertainment complexes only benefit that city right? Unless otherwise specified like the zoo.
>this war has gone on for centuries!
>I say we rise up! Fuck the government!
>oh shit, is that an orange?
>>159486452
Yes. I guess theoretically it can benefit other cities indirectly because they might not need luxury amenities anymore.
I am fond of no new threads.
