I beat SJ though, it doesn't play very well outside of the dungeon crawling however

I was playing KMT and ran into some fuck in Valhalla Corridor who offered to take me to hell so I said yeah why not and now I'm stuck in this green cave maze without access to the COMP (including the automap and the analyzer).

Remember the Digital Devil Saga books? By the original author of DDS script that had to leave the project early due to illness and eventually released her original vision in the form of these Quantum Digital Saga books.

Well one of them got officially translated few years back but there was absolutely no word on them ever since and people thought the first one sold like shit and the rest wouldn't be coming over.

Well, apparently that is not the case.
Volume 2 coming this year and volumes 3-6 confirmed coming as well with much shorter breaks between them.

They never promised the rest of the books before this, only said they were working on Volume 2 but that was 2 years ago and also mentioned that if Volume 1 doesn't sell enough they won't be buying the publishing rights to rest of the books.
As for breaking promises, it works a bit different with book publishers seeing as they already secured publishing rights and usually it's a waste of money to buy rights to something and then not publish it.
Especially since they offer both physical and ebook and if they saw physical as unprofitable they can just go ebook way and not lose any money on printing at all.

In effect Mikado has had thousands of years to slowly nurture and strengthen the demonic genes in their offsprings that way. Nah, it's an artbook thing there's a page that talks about terminology and it says that a person's compatibility with the gauntlet is related to how much Tokyo blood is in their veins under the section for samurai. Then on the next page it outright confirms that Walter, Jonathan, and Flynn are descended from people who escaped the angel's purge way back under the section for chosen ones. Also I believe the arch angel dlc, either Raphael or Uriel freaks out about Flynn having it.

The artbook actually elaborated on a bunch of stuff in IV.

The demonic gene is literally just that, a gene normally found in demons. It's what allows the Samurai to use magic for example. It's much higher concentrated and nurtured in Mikado than in Tokyo, there is basically no humans in Tokyo that can use magic, while even the worst Samurai have some abilities in that regard. It probably originated from the humans that had lots of contact with demons, Akira is probably a very big offender there, and then got passed along through the generations getting stronger and stronger over time until it eventually brought forth all those "humans" that have ridiculous abilities like Flynn, Walter, and Jonathan.

I had a lot of issues with misses before I put points into AGI on my War playthrough. I later bumped it up to Apocalypse difficulty before starting Twisted Tokyo and going to Incense farm and periodically checked how frequently Metatron Hordes dodged my normal phys hits. I needed around 390 AGI to not see a miss in ten hits, it was awful. Buffs would obviously help and lower that requirement though.
