Two problems... actually, three:

- I've heard a lot of experiences of people trying another cart or whatnot and it just outright not working, which leads to point two:
- That's unfortunately not accurate for a LOT of games, in fact, I'd say only a few work like that. New Leaf, I believe, has an option to transfer a cart save to digital, so... yeah.
- Out of stock on Amazon, and it's $30 here. Before I get called out as a cheapskate, Canada fucking SUCKS and I have other bills to pay at the moment.

this is my first time coming to the animal crossing general, and probably my third time coming to /vg/ ever. I'm not exactly an animal crossing power player, I figured just enjoying the game with the random shit it gives you is the best way to not stress yourself out.

What's this with scouting? Do you -need- to move in with a new character or does that just assume you're playing alone? My town has two active players, can I just 'scout' with the one that isn't mayor?

What happens, anyway, you sign in with the non-mayor, see someone moving in where you don't like, you quit without saving...then what, that undoes the fact that the game decided to move in? If you log in a second time the reserved plot will just be gone?

When someone's moving in, they're going to be moving in no matter what. When you log into any character normally, it saves the town right before you get to play, that sets up the events during the day, like holidays and people moving in.

What happens when you go to make a new character is that the game never saves until you get your citizens pass or whatever. Meaning you can make a character, see where the game places the person's house, and either save or reset and try again.

For those wondering.

You CAN reset for town layouts and keep the bell bonus from Nook. But you have to go through the selling process every time.

After deleting your town it doesn't save at all until you get your new town set up. So obviously don't build your new house until you're absolutely sure it's the one you want.

Just downloaded the update and bough a good amount of amiibo stuff. Haven't played in forever, and I never actually got to far into the meta of the game, mostly just casually played.
