LFP works sometimes. I tested this with 10.5 shells of the Tiger II. Both through the LFP, the stock APHE shell with about 215 of pen was eaten by the driver alone, while the APCBC with 245mm was able to oneshot the thing. Fired through the mantlet the APHE was eaten by the MGs and the APCBC killed everyone on its side plus breach. Remember that for the soviet 100mm and long 88 to pen efficiently, you have to have a direct shot at it with no angle. My tip is to spray some MG fire to make the cunt notice you and then finish the job when he looks at you.

Fighting low-tier monoplanes in the I-15 is so fun
Though I couldn't articulate my fighting style, even with unskilled flailing it's delightful to 1-v-all a cluster of them trying to kill you while you pick off 2 or 3 of them because they can't out-turn you. Probably the only time I don't resent being shot down is in a situation like that, where I'm in a manifestly "inferior" aircraft but clearly being a massive headache.
