Eiyuu Senki is a weird mix of VN and gameplay elements, similar in concept to Aselia and Kamidori. Although the gameplay is a turn-based strategy that takes place on a 3x3 grid a la Radiant Historia (NDS rpg).

It's fairly well polished all things considered, with my biggest complaint being that it completely lacks a tutorial and barely explains anything about the gameplay in-game. The enemy AI during 'conquest mode' also completely lacks any aggressiveness, allowing you to take your time with barely any downside.

Still, it is a fun game with a huge cast of diverse characters with a MC that doesn't rape every female that moves. The VN and gameplay elements are interspersed so that one does not spend hours upon hours doing one thing to the exclusion of the other.

Gold is slightly different, but the concept is the same and not much changes overall. I give the game 7.5/10, worth a play-through, just don't go in expecting a masterpiece in story-telling. I had fun, moreso than Evenicle, but the combat can get repetitive if it isn't your cuppa tea.

Isn't it always multibyte by definition? Japanese characters simply can't fit in 256 slots single byte encodings allow.

Anyway, if the text doesn't want to be hooked, you'll have to do it the same way it's done with emulators (for PS2 and PSP VNs for example): you find (pointers to) text strings you want in the game's memory, make them show up in ArtMoney and make AGTH hook (whatever's currently selected in) ArtMoney instead of the game.
If the game requires Japanese locale, it uses Shift-JIS encoding in 99,99% of cases, which AGTH works perfectly with.

Scenes do pop up once you've raised her stats enough.
Beating the dungeon unlocks scenes with extra companions and (very likely) lovey-dovey ending with the sis (which sucked extra hard in v1.10, dunno about newer versions).

That would work with VNs which print text pulled from a single address most of the time, i.e. a spoken line/author's speech.
RPGs pull many text strings from many different memory addresses, so you'll need several custom hooks or your own asm code, see pic related. ArtMoney can have strings from all these addresses in a single table and AGTH will hook only the currently active cell ("message box" on that pic, also note separate "item description" and "gear description" cells).

Well I thought about the loli trading aspect and then mocked this up. Would it work? Can you think of anything that would be good to keep in mind for it? Right now I could start off just with the ability to buy/sell lolis, then later I was thinking of adding the ability to prostitute them out, or to produce (possibly custom) pics/videos with the girls for money. No, I didn't find out about FATAL until someone mentioned it in response to my vaginal circ code. And as I've mentioned a shitload of times, FATAL's crappy vaginal circ code is terrible and innacurate, plus overly simplistic. It just takes very broad age-ranges (like child, adult, milf, grandparent), race, and something else then rolls a dice. Mine actually looks at exact age, body size, genetics, puberty progression (this affects it the most), etc. I even looked up statistics on it, but could only find stuff for adults, so for lolis I had to talk to girls and ask about their experiences as kids, plus bullshit and adjust stuff until my formula was satisfactory.

I strongly disagree. It's always good if you change some code and an assert gets hit instead of potentially fucking over other things. It's kind of like having unit/etc tests for things, but on a smaller and more embedded scale. You can always disable asserts in the release code, as well.

No, I thought about it but decided not to. It does keep track of how many ml of piss is in a puddle and the concentration of urobilin (which affects colour), but the actual physics of puddles is simple. There's a fixed center point and then I just do some volume calculation which assumes a flat disk 1mm high to figure out based on the volume what radius to make it. It doesn't stop at walls or anything (but I would like to do that at some point), and multiple puddles can't join together or anything.
