Freemium players don't play games for long. They simply test them out. When you find one that you are into 99.9% of the time that player will throw some money at it. You'll see things that you want, but only obtainable through CS or some other method. You will want the benefits that Premium provide. No free player finds a game they like and then puts 1000 hours of playtime into it unless they have no job and no life outside of the house.

Put it this way; My favorite game is X. It's on PC. Do I pirate it? No. Because I like X and want more of X in the future. So to not support something you like makes you a cancer to that community. And I can go even further with the pirated games logic by saying that if someone pirates a game and doesn't like it, then no money was lost towards the developer. People pirate games to see if their good enough to spend money on, not to play them completely.

DNP in NA and EU can only be acquired during events. SEA it's the only server that uses it at currency alternative to gold and cash. In SEA and EU DNP doesn't expire but in NA it expires every 30 days after the maintenance so it's better if you save those coupons (just don't right click them) until there's something you like.

It's the point where diminishing returns kicks in. Say it takes 100 points of Critical Rating to get 1% to your crit chance.
Once you hit the soft cap you get reduced gain. So instead of 100=1% it may go up to 120=1% or more depending how aggressive they want it to be.

NA will also be dead during EU prime hours so unless you're fine with playing on 150+ ping AND extreme late nights you shouldn't even consider it. It's basically what I did in Tera and after a few months of playing from 10pm to 4-6am I slowly became a zombie. Also by the time I joined Tera PvP was already dead so my 150 ping was didn't matter since all of the PvE was easily doable at that ping(depending on class dps loss was between 3-10% every 100 extra ping).

During my time in codex I understood one thing, there is codex core(circlejerk of ~20 people) and there are everyone else. I don't like it being benched pleb despite being better than most of their core.

There are no servers stress tests in closed betas since it's closed, duh, they already know how many people to expect.

If a game fails at server capacity in CB everyone managing it should kill themselves, they know how many keys and cb packs they sold, it's not hard to make a server that can hold at least 80% of the sum of keys and packs.

Open beta is another story since they can only guess how many people will join the game, too many servers and they lose money, too little and they lose nothing because people are stubborn and want to play at any cost.
