Anyone here play Civ like they're NTR? I setup a game with only 3 civs: myself, Gilgamesh, and Cleo. I build up my capital a little bit and then setup an auto-hotkey script to click next turn endlessly. I then leave my room and sit outside it for a few hours while the game plays. If I come back into the room and the game is still going I mumble a few apologies and excuse myself again. I've thought about knocking on the door before I enter but I don't want the noise to potentially disturb them. A few times my mom has asked why I sit outside the door of my room and I tell her each time "It's my new meta" (she has no idea what that means).

Just do what this anon says. >>159035719

>You send as many trade routes as you can To the new city and send it to whichever cities give you the most food and hammers. You also bring 2 or 3 workers to improve nearby mines, chop woods or farm stone. First district should be industrial to help everything be setup quicker. Then you keep developing until the city is self sustainable in food and housing. Then you start building other districts.

It's a chore because you cannot make cities grow by thenselves but you can get then online quicker than early game if you plan the city well. Also, techs and civics make possible to colonize more zones the further you go into the game.

I think in Civ VI what they voice act and what they say in subtitles don't match. In Philip's intro the subtitle says he's the king of Spain, Portugal, Sardinia and Sicily, Naples, Duke of Milan, etc. but in his voice acting I only heard Espana(I think Spain in Spanish) and Portugal, and not a single word close to rest of the shit listed in the subtitles. Can anyone who speaks Spanish confirm this?

Spaniard here. Yes, he doesn't mention all his titles, he simply says he's the king of Spain and Portugal.

It's not because AI is retarded, it's because she really prioritizes the religion. A few leaders are like that, Haile and Harun also for example, they'll never stop converting you. In my experience most other civs stop when you tell them to

If she was talking about your Uxmal city, that is indeed close to Sewilla, she'll indeed complain about that. And AIs, depending on how close they are to you and how much expansionist they are will want your land. So you're learning how the game works at least

Btw those variables are not static, every time you start a game they can change +2 to -2. Firaxis did this to not make every game same IIRC. For example Isabella's default religion variable is 8, it can be up to 10(max) where she goes crazy with religion, or down to 6 where she is much softer on religion.

This is also why Gandhi's nuke variables are at 12, so even if he gets -2 in a game you play it still stays at the max. Above the number 10 doesn't do anything else otherwise, just works the same as 10

I heard that Ghandi nuclear fetish was result of a bug in first game, where Democracy would lower his agressive level from minimal, causing it to go nuts and assume maximum value due to negative ones not being allowed. So when everyone else had agressive level at max 10, he would assume 255.
>>
>>159046062
Correct, they were using unsigned values. Gandhi had 1 for warmonger and there were 2 -1 techs in game.

Not just the quotes, but the texts narrator reads about your leader when you're starting a new game are also really shit imo. Civ V texts were much better than this

Just look at pic related and compare it to his Civ V intro which was this:
Greetings President Gandhi, great soul leader of India! You are the ruler of one of the oldest countries in the world with history stretching back almost 10,000 years. A spiritual country, India is the birthplace of three of the world's great religions - Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. This is a passionate land of music and color and it is a land of great wealth and grinding poverty. For centuries, India was divided into kingdoms who fought constantly with each other and against outside invaders. In the 12th century AD, India was conquered by Muslim Turks. In the early 17th century, the English arrived. Through a combination of shrewd diplomacy and technological superiority, they conquered your fragmented nation. England remained in power for some two centuries until driven out by a rising wave of Indian nationalism, a peaceful rebellion unlike any before seen in history.

Gandhi, your people look to you to lead them to even greater heights of glory! Can you help your people realize their great potential, to once again become the world's center of arts, culture and religion? Can you build a civilization that will stand the test of time?

Fucking only last paragraph of Civ V's intro is better than Civ VI one

dude

the new cities you funded in 1579 don't have the +10 population and the industrial district of the cities you founded on 1000 BC.

Yes, there's a increase of needed hammers, but the main problem is that the new cities dont have enough pop to work production tiles to get an industrial district running quickly

This is insane. Who thought this shit was even remotely a good idea. It made more sense in Parameme's historical games, but this diplomacy system is simply infuriating in Stellaris, which is a different game in a different genre. Not only is peaceful expansion not a thing past a certain point in the game, but wars turn into a mind-wracking slog very quickly as well.

For the love of God, Paradox if you're reading this, I'm ready to buy Space Diplomacy DLC at a low price of $19,99 right now if it includes the following:

>ticking warscore
>warscore for ships tripled
>warscore cost per system halved
>armies removed completely as a mechanic, instead fleets automatically deploy marines who are resisted by planetary defence forces based on planet development and tech
>REWORK PROTECTORATES rework protectorates, as of now it's literally impossible to turn one into a vassal, I've literally never had it happen in a game, at least let us trade tech with them or something

it depends on your production output and local competition. If there is a risk of getting cut off from land, than rush settler. If you aren't at risk tho - it's mostly worth waiting for 6 pop. Unless your capital is shit that is.

In light of the community conversation it can clearly be viewed in a way that is in direct opposition the brand image we strive to maintain. This was absolutely not our intent, but intentions don’t override the real emotional reactions our fans have. While the bigger story provides context, individual cards are seen in isolation. That is the standard each card needs to live up to. In hindsight this story point could have been depicted in a less real-world related and emotionally charged way. That's impressive considering it takes a full minute just for all the units to execute their orders for just one turn of the six each combat takes place for.

Either you misunderstand or we're playing different games. Telling the units a rough idea of what you want them to do, and then having an AI execute what it feels most closely matches what you wanted is not directly controlling each unit individually.

I can easily buy unfun, thats subjective as all hell, so w/e. But every time I see it criticised the criticisms fall flat.
>That's impressive considering it takes a full minute just for all the units to execute their orders for just one turn of the six each combat takes place for.
You do realise that not changing animation speed setting after your first couple games is masochism in pretty much all turn based games? EL is no exception. If you want to blame it for something blame it for that setting only being availible at lobby.
>Either you misunderstand or we're playing different games. Telling the units a rough idea of what you want them to do, and then having an AI execute what it feels most closely matches what you wanted is not directly controlling each unit individually.
Unit in El does two things during combat turn. Move and act. You can order both of them for every one of your units. Only time when it will disobey is opponent changed battlefield layout on his initiative. And even then it will obey to the best of it's ability, no matter how stupid the order became after that. This is why I mentioned initiative bar above, you have to pay attention to it and give less precise orders to units that are on lover end of it, lest you have them run around with bad orders. How can you possibly see enemy action interfering with your orders as a bad thing I can't fathom.

>>159083471
Horses are so OP in 6 that the entire thing falls flat. Sure it's good if its well defended city to bring some melee with siege tools, but it takes a long time to move them to enemy positions giving him time to react and when you are building them you aren't building horses.

If the enemy ships have Point Defense weapons (which they do, AI loves to use that) your battleship will become just a floating piece of garbage, use kinetic batteries/artillery instead if you're looking for a ship suited for long-range combat.

And research better shields, engines and tracking sensors nigga, midgame is all about who got the most combat stats.

So I crunched some numbers in Stellaris

If you pick extremely adaptive + rapid breeders (offset by selecting decadent, repugnant and sedentary) AS WELL AS fanatic spritualist + collectivist, then you stand to have pops that grow 60% faster when the Spiritual edict is used, not even counting the extra food bonuses from slaves. Without the edict you're still at a respectable 40%ish

Combined with that +20% habitability allowing you to colonise almost any planet of your choice, this seems like a very powerful setup

Can you read my posts instead of carrying on some imaginary one-sided argument against someone else about whether or not cavalry units are better than non-cavalry units?
Yes, I understand that horses are good, but all you have are horse archers. Just build one light cavalry, otherwise you're attacking that city for literally no reason because you can't fucking capture it without a melee unit like I've been saying.
And why would you build a seige tower without any melee units, and why would you bring it to a seige against an enemy capital when you have no melee units!?
You deserved to get dicked on by deity, I really doubt the AI pumping out obscene amounts of horsemen was the only reason you lost.

Is there a discord group or something for civ 6 MP matches?
>>
>>159084956
Look in the empire stats screen to find out why your cities are unhappy, keep in mind that prolonged war will cause weariness and thus unhappiness for your citizens. I don't know the bonuses of getting high amenities for a city (if there are any), but I rarely consider it worthwhile to build a single entertainment district. Despite the notifications warning about rebellion, I've only ever had it happen once, when my capital was at -5 amenities. The result was two barbarian knights spawning next to the capital, which was hardly as severe as I expected.
So even if you're at -1 or 0 amenities, I'd even say that's exactly where you want to be at.
Keep in mind that luxury resources only provide for 4 cities each. For example, if you have 5 cities in your civ, that fifth city won't get any happiness from your one tea resource until you build an improvement on a second source of tea.

I don't understand this meme. Do you niggers just tax them straight off the bat and give them no star systems with mining stations built?
The trick is to set tax to zero, give them a decent amount of stars and build the stations for them yourself. Then once they've started to build up their population and are finally starting to make a decent amount of income you slowly start to raise the tax just one increment every few years. Keep colonizing and increasing their space to keep that dosh flowing. Build mining stations.

Pic related, my sectors are making ridiculous income and all their planets have lv4 buildings on them perfectly fine.

I reckon Stellaris should have civ style trade. Build trading fleets and send them out to other empires. Rework pirates, yet again, and make them target trade routes so you have to either build up military stations (giving them more purpose) or attach a small military fleet escort.
Just some extra depth and something more to do mid game.

Fuck that prime directive nonsense, a suitably advanced benevolent space empire should be able to gently introduce a bunch of primitives to interstelar civilization without having to wait a million years for them to catch up tech wise.

As it stands, a primitive civilization can discover space travel on it's own faster than it will take for a protectorate to catch up with it's parent empire. It's actually better to wait for them to do so, and then conquer them, because then you can directly integrate them.

Releasing them as vassals, waiting 10 years, and then declaring war, would also work, but you might risk them forming diplomatic relations with somebody else. Vassals are so sloppily put together now.

>>159095537
I wish Stellaris had local resources and trade networks. That's one of the few instances I think Stellaris would be better off like Civilization.

It would be even cooler if you could build independent fleets capable of supporting themselves by mining locally available minerals and energy. It kind of breaks the immersion of being an advanced space-fairing civilization when your economy crashes as soon as your massive warfleet leaves port.

No one questions that desu, CK2 didn't get where it is now in just one day, Paradox games are like a long-term investment* but Paradox's policy of releasing half-finished games and later patching it up with DLC and a gorillion patches is extremely frustrating, the fact that people enable this behavior even more so.

I do. People who say that usually don't unerstand paradox's past very well. CK2 from get go, had good core gameplay, it was buggy unpolished mess, but it was good. Same with Victoria. Europa on the other hand has a few core design choices that cause many to avoid it. Issues that haven't been, and never will be, fixed. Among them are mana, combat and trade. Now I, don't mind them, so I like EU, but I know that they will never be fixed.

Stellaris is a game with it's own set of core issues. Lack of depth, factions, sectors and combat are among them. If you don't mind them - then eventually for you Stellaris will become a very pleasant expirience. For me tho - it will stay shit unless they go tabula rasa on it. And they never will.

Vicky's core gameplay was a mess from release day, global market crashing all the time, 100 million communists rebellions and pops being angry at you for absolutely nothing. They made the fantastic decision of releasing it when HoI3 was still fucked beyond repair thus forcing them on dividing manpower to fix both games and accomplishing absolutely nothing.

Surprise, surprise, 6 years later and here we are with Stellaris and HoI 4.

>>159098617
Core design would be a more apt term. What you are describing is numbers problems, and I will certainly agree that it had plenty of those. What I mean by this is "rebels that flip governments" are a core design, having too many of them too often is aproblem of degree. "Global economy based on rankings and pops" is core design. The fact that vanilla numbers is still unbelievably out of whack is degree.

My point is, with Stellaris things that make or break that game for me are the kind of things I don't expect to be changed.

>>159098897
>Also core gameplay can change, just see the newest expansion for CK2 that radically changed how plagues work.

Honestly though, I think they've done some good work with the Clarke, Asimov and Heinlen patches.

The game is far from being fixed but progress can be seen in some areas, midgame for example, isn't so much of a bore now with Awakened Empires, War in Heaven and you can hunt down Guardians and Enclaves. throughout the galaxy.

Of course, we STILL don't have a proper trade system, or a diplomacy system or even a global food pool for your planets.

It's still too early to predict the fate of Stellaris, IF ( and a big IF) they keep up the pace of releasing a medium patch and a big one every 2 months then we may have a proper game in a year or two, and if not, well though shit, at least I've pirated it so not like I'm losing anything

Two pieces of Kinetic artillery. A battleship with two Kinetic artillery mounts in the bow will have a higher damage rating than a battleship with a spinal mount weapon, assuming the rest of the ship is the same. The only advantage is 20 extra range.

>Why is global food pool a good idea? Everything else I agree with, but if anything, global resources are bad in a space game. Maybe if you had the option to build trade fleets (and protect them from pirates), but I don't want resources being magically transported between planets. Especially not food.

Because there's no reason for one of your planets go hungry when you have another planet right next to it that has a surplus of food, ideally something like that could come along with a trade system where civilians would handle the job of sending resources to planets along your empire and you had to protect those trade routes from rival empires or pirates, it would also add a strategic depth to it as well since right now you can siege the capital planet of the enemy and it won't do jack shit to their empire other than a slight setback.

Sort by date, descending. About every other game is more enjoyable then stellaris for me, and most of them are in space.

>At least Stellaris has a decent UI.
No, no it doesn't. DW AI is overburdened with info for advanced player, but it's informative. Stellaris AI is pretty but shallow. Much like the resto of the game.

>Why is global food pool a good idea?
Because how pathetic is it that Stars In Shadow, early access game made by 2 people, has more in depth traiding/logistics system than stellaris.

Wishlist for a space 4x resource model

>Local resources only
>An automatically built fleet of AI controlled transport ships ferry resources between mining sites and the nearest shipyard.
>Planet based resources are bottle-necked unless the player builds space elevators, meaning they won't have to chose between expanding their colonies, and expanding their fleets, it will always be easier to build small things locally compared to large things far away.
>By default the logistics ships will try to spread things around in the most efficient way possible, but the player can override them to send more resources to places they are needed most, such as building a large battle-station or responding to a famine on a distant colony.
>War fleets also require resources for upkeep, they will be followed by a logistical fleet.
>Some ship types such as cruisers can go longer without resupply, making them better for long range operations, others will be limited to system patrol and escort duty.
>Taking out the enemy supply lines is an effective way to deal with a more powerful fleet.
>Defending your own supply lines is a reason not to put all your ships into a doomstack.
>Lategame tech includes motherships which can extract resources and build other ships all by themselves, up to and including other motherships, ala Culture GSVs
>Advanced civilizations can survive without any planets or permanent settlements at all if they have motherships to support their fleets.

Do any games (space or not) actually implement a supply line mechanic? It seems like an obvious/powerful way to add strategic depth to warfare and keep wars from just being "my army attacks your army."

I mean, a lot of games have war exhuastion, but it's not nearly the same thing

For space games, I don't think so. For land based games, RUSE has a system where you need supply trucks to reach supply depots in order for you to get resource incomes, so it was a valid tactic to raid convoys to starve a player. Handling AI pathfindimg for space games is just a lot of work

It's an obvious idea that never seems to be implemented.

Some games such as CK2 implement attrition due to extended supply lines, but there is no way to actually attack the enemy's supply train, even though that's a legit tactic that won wars.

There's no supply line, but there's supply in civ2.

Units are supported from specific cities.
If the city falls, the units supported from that city are disbaned.
Also if that city doesn't have enough production or food to support the units they are disbanded.
Despotism, Monarchy and Communism all have 3 units free of support. After that they start taking 1 production.
Democracies and Republics have no free support, fundamentalism have 0 support.

Democracies and Republics you can fairly easily siege down by covering their production tiles and wipe out their armies before attacing the cities.

Settlers/Engineers also need food from the cities. 1-2 depending on the government type. When a city starves so it losses population, supported engineers/settlers are disbanded.
>>
>>159103056
>fundamentalism have 0 support.
10* free support and their special Fanatic unit have take no support even beyond that limit iirc.
>>
>>159097961
They should add a religion believe called Religous Isolationism that gives your units a +20 combat strength bonus in enemy city territory bordering your own.

The only ones that come to mind are Sword of the stars And DW.

Not adept enough to talk about DW, but in sots it's very simplistic and basic, and yet it's there. Essencially fuel/ammo/etc lumped into 1 "supply" pool for fleeets and you have ships whose purpose is to enlarge it and provide fleet with ability to ressuply it by gathering local resources.

If you want a more logical take on it - it's hard to say if supply "line" would hold as a concept in space. For early, first steps sure. Once you are swinging around fleets with dozens warships in them, not having mobile refineries makes no sense. The only kind of damage you can't really repair with a ship is hull structure. Everything else an on the go refinery should be able to fixup. The thing is tho, the kind of damage that calls for replacement of hull parts IRL, usually results in a ship getting scrapped.

Well that's why I suggested that late game tech would include mother-ships capable of building and supporting entire fleets using locally available asteroids and spacedust.

The first ships you'd get would be dinky little destroyers which can't go very far, but are very cheap and effective for defending planets. Then you'd get cruisers which can travel long distances before having to come home to resupply. Once you unlock actual battleships, you'd need to start considering supply lines, and those supply lines will need to be protected by cruisers. Latter on carriers would be able to support fleets independently for extended periods, and lastly motherships would be lategame tech, allowing advanced civilizations to ignore the petty concerns of logistics, while still presenting a vulnerable weak spot to allow less advanced civilizations a small chance to win.

This would also mean the the ability to project force will scale as the civilization advances, and make the early game more defensively balanced, as it will be cheaper to build short ranged defensive ships than long ranged cruisers.

>>
Hey, has anyone noticed that their minerals are just disappearing?

I was saving up a few hundred to build mining stations, and just as I clicked the system, the minerals went down to zero.
>>
>>159105280
It all depends on quite a few things. You build warships when you expect a war. There is no reason to build "dinky little destroyers" when you know that only kind of enemies that can project power long range are the kind that will turn you into dust. Kinda like shit I'm dealing with in DW right now as a newbie in era of shadows. So you just build economy, thus no need for early game warfare to exist period.

This also reminds me of Sots. One very good way to scout is to send one way long range exploration vessels that you have no intentions of recalling, and jumping system to system until they run out of fuel only refuelling them when it becomes convenient.

Motherships aren't really sane way to do refineries. They work for lategame simply because rule of cool, but if you want basic logic of on the fly resupply - here is the problem. You don't need a dry dock in space. Everything is very dry. So your only limitations essentially are tools, time and local resources. I.E. how much effort it takes to find a system with good enough concentration of minerals/gasses, set up mines, and how much tonnage should a component factory take when compared with component itself. All of which has to be asspulled, since energy output for FTL jumps has to be asspulled, thus no real science can help you there. Not that we have enough scientific knowledge/experience to plan this on even local, one star system no ftl. level.
>>
>>159105852
Repairing ships cost minerals, otherwise probably a bug.
>>
>>159105430
eliminate them
>>
>>159105961
I imagine that in peacetime, you use fleets to project power and preform gunboat diplomacy. Your borders would be defined by your fleets patrol range. Areas that aren't regularly patrolled would spawn pirates and smugglers. If another empire can afford to regularly send fleets into your territory, then you are probably their vassal.

Also, waiting until a war to build fleets makes you look weak, and means you won't be as ready for something unexpected. If what you said was true, no nation would maintain a standing army.

You can bribe people in civ too

>>
>>159106983
chop woods and jungle (unless there's banana in jungle or you're getting other bonuses from it, like adjacency)
harvesting wheat and rice probably isn't worth it unless you plop down a city mid or late game and quickly need population for a district. you only get about 50 food from the harvest, so if you think the city will work the tile for more than 50 turns (25 if you get a water mill) then you'll come out behind by chopping
marshes should almost always be cleared eventually, as grassland farm will outproduce a marsh after some techs
stone is probably the most situational

also, you need to consider the hammer cost of a single worker charge
>>
>>159106536
>>159105961
Also, you wouldn't be seeing destroyers vs battleships unless you've really fucked up. Cruisers would be the offensive option for early/mid game. The whole point of cruisers is that they focus on range and force projection at the expense of heavy firepower, making them most effective at striking poorly defended targets that aren't expecting to be attacked.

Early game you build destroyers to protect you from being rushed by enemy cruisers, and cruisers to attack people who haven't built proper defenses. Mid game, you use battleships to decide fleet engagements and cruisers to harass battleships and cut their supply lines. Late game your fleets can be self sufficient, but you still have to protect the mothership or the fleet will be stranded.

How can they balance the different FTL techs to make shit a little more even? I have had a few ideas, but im not sure if they might be OP. Warp drives could chain from system to system, and only have cooldown as soon as you arrive at the final destination. Hyperlanes should be eventually able to be constructed, but at a moderate cost so you cant just spam them everywhere or zip from one side of the galaxy to the other. Assuming they tweak cooldown times appropriately, would this even the playing field a little, or is it too much?

Its an empire building 4x game. You build and settle cities, work the environment to acquire resources, explore the world, conduct diplomacy and trade with other civilizations and, if you chose to, wage war and conquer your foes. You don't have to shed a single drop of blood and still win the game if you want. There's buildings and religion and population to manage. Its pretty easy to learn too.
Civ V with the dlc is pretty decent and a great place to start the series. You got it for free so you may as well.

If you're familiar with grand strategy games you should have some inkling of an idea what 4X is. The genre sorta spawned out of a desire for even more autistic control over one's virtual empire after all.

---

You build cities, and manage the growth of a "culture" usually from the beginning of Prehistory up until a bit into the near future. 4x is the name of the genre, mostly meaning
>eXplore
discover the lands around you in preparation for
>eXpand
settle cities in spots you found advantageous during the previous stage
>eXploit
use those resources to build up an empire
>eXterminate
render your opponents irrelevant either literally or through non-violent means

I don't even care anymore, let them pillage my industry buildings again - it's not worth thirty more notifications every turn.

I have to wonder how Firaxis thought this would be a good idea.

How is military strength calculated in 6?

Pete's got a strength of 1.7k and I've got 1.5k but all I've seen out of him are shitty ancient era archers and chariots

Is it even worth counterspying? I never had a situation thought I'd get more value out of a spy counter-spying (and just gamble on guessing the right district) than regular spying.
>>
>>159112314

I didn't use counterspies until I played my first deity/large map game. All 9 other civs were spying on me, sabotaging my districts every turn. And not even just my capital, even my small cities were getting their districts pillaged. I spent half of that game repairing my district buildings.

Still fucking salty.
>>
Where is the "pillage district" spy action? The only ones I ever see are steal money, steal tech, steal great work, raise diplomatic knowledge level, and temporarily raise spy level.

What is this shit? Turn 26. Next turn Pedro declared war on me. King difficulty. I'd already fended off a barb warrior and slinger by this point as well. Lost my starting warrior when trying to clear the Spearman-defended camp they're all coming from, but a slinger and warrior then spawned in consecutive turns and I couldn't hightail him out of there.

This is some bullshit.

Also, my counterspy stops money stealing all the fucking time. There's an XP bug with spies though, they stop gaining experience after three promotions (90 XP), even though there are way more than three possible promotions for spies and it says they keep earning XP.

Spies have a mission available for every type of district in the city. They can sabotage production by pillaging industrial districts.

Trying Endless Space for the first time since Disharmony update, why is AI diplomacy so broken?
I'm "evil" empire friendly with "good" sowers and "good" automatons, who were at was with each other since first contact (Is there bias for that because lore suggests there should be?), and they both offer me peace, agreements and tech in exchange for temporary use of my resources, that are not even that rare. I just sit there letting AI upgrade my planets and accepting occasional gifts, having lowest victory score but way more powerful ship designs than anyone else and capability of shitting out 20+ such ships in one turn should anyone ever declare war on me.
Also what's the point of gun buff module? It's 30% damage for the weight of 11 more guns. Even on 40+ gun platforms it's not so good because more dakka > stronger dakka since evasion is flat number of projectiles.
>>
>>159112754
Not really, you're probably playing way too offensive. I also play on king and only two military units are enough at the beginning of the game for me, the only purpose of them is to protect the city and improvements, which is very easy because the AI is stupid as shit. And that city you posted is in very defendable position too

Does anyone know how the domestic tourism value is actually calculated in Civ 6? And with that does anyone know how your tourism on a civilization and the value you get out of it is calculated? Like I was in a late game with Cleopatra who had 371 domestic tourism, and I was getting 137 out of her; while Barbarossa had 2 cities at 14 combined pop and was still in the renaissance era with 4 domestic tourism, but I was getting 9 out of him.

I get your goal is to have more total incoming tourists combined than the value of the highest civs domestic tourism count; so in my game I only need 372 total to beat Cleopatra at the top with 371, but I can't figure out how any of these values correlate or how they fucking calculate.

i don't think anyone knows at this point.

i do know that each civ's generated tourism is then split into domestic and foreign. so in your example cleo has a total of 508 suitcases, and freddie has a total of 13 suitcases.

though maybe cleo is taking some of freddie's suitcases too, so freddie may have more than 13 total

it's a mystery
>>

I bought a few games from there and Kinguin over the last years and never got anything revoked.

And you can't get banned for it. The worst thing that can happen is that the key got literally stolen by the seller (like from a store) resulting into it getting revoked and your game getting removed. But that never happens because sellers just abuse regional pricing and don't literally steal.

So, if I remove the enforced tile yields, what does that do, exactly?

Because I'm thinking that it's FORCING the sector to build farms on food tiles, even when it doesn't need too. I have it set to a balanced build; wouldn't it just make enough farms and energy to fund itself, and then split the rest of the tiles between research and minerals?

There just needs to be one layer added more for a perfectly fine diplomacy system. Just make it so that civs have a positive agenda and a negative agenda. I mean, they already have multiple agendas anyways.

Say Norway keeps pestering you about your shitty ass navy? Why not just make it so Norway only ever APPRECIATES when you have a large navy as a positive diplomatic thing. In contrast, the hidden agendas or maybe some more leader/cultural agendas have only negative effects which require more drastic measures like attacking city-states.

The problem is, if you tell it to obey tiles, and the planet has five food tiles and two energy tiles, it'll make five hydroponic farms and two power plants and then make whatever on the empty tiles.

I'm hoping that having the planets develop with that turned off means they'd build things a bit more intelligently.

the problem with cs quests is that a single envoy isn't powerful enough to go out of your way to get.
