So Yorick bros, did some more testing

out of the 20% CDR items, iceborn is the best go-to. Ghouls don't share yoricks movespeed bonus from trinity, so keeping the enemy locked down for easy e's and w's results in far more consistent damage.

Sheen gives him the damage to squishies he needs and scales just fine later into the game. Cleaver does not.

Iceborn means that stormraiders is harder to proc, and your damage is more over time and more consistent, so grasp is best.

Spirit visage is pretty core on him. Get this second or third unless against heavy AD.

Death's dance is hilarious in a tanky build. Steraks, Iceborn, Visage, and DD give you that great mix of hard to kill and scary damage if left unchecked.

Focus on objectives and protect your team; you're too dangerous to ignore, too difficult to get past, and too hard to kill to focus.

You can duel almost anyone with your ult, and are an unfaltering anchor for your team in teamfights.

A friend of mine says that tanks will be more viable come preseason, even though nothing in there is related to tanks.
I get what he's saying I guess, assassins being back in the meta means tanks will become more important to deal with them, and thus picked more often.

Sejuani is tanky and has good CC and peel, which theoretically should be able to deal with any assassin who tries to go in.
So she should likely be viable.

Another indirect thing about tanks becoming more viable would be engagements and teamfights becoming naturally longer means that sustained damage mids will also have a place, which means Azir might find a spot in viability again.

Honestly it's good that assassins are coming back into the meta.
Nearly every single overpowered champion this season has been high-burst and generally long range but lacking good mobility.
Syndra, viktor, Asol, and Jhin all have those characteristics.
And what in turn are really powerful champions as well?
Lee Sin and Zac, aka champions who can very easily dive the backline and go on these squishies.
I think if anything this season's proved that the game NEEDS assassins to be anywhere close to balanced, otherwise immobile but powerful champions become incredibly overpowered by their counters being simply bad.

Also, let's look at Q. Q does 140% AD. So with just IBG you're doing 240% of your base AD, or 340 damage at level 18. Cleaver elevates that by an additional 70 while applying the cleave debuff. In fact, getting sheen and then NOT getting cleaver is nonsensical, as sheen damage only scales with 2 things, streaks and arpen.
