I managed to confederate and consolidate Wurzzag, Red Fangs, Red Spear, Skarsnik, and Top Knotz so quickly. The Bjornlings had an unpleasant surprise in Azhag, a Gobbo warboss, and Wurrzag waiting for them.

Archaon didn't last long with Grimgor, Skarsnik, Gorfang Rotgut, Mash, and the Broken Spears Warboss waiting in Kislev for him.

This has probably been my quickest, and best played Legendary campaign to date.

So a few days ago I decided to check out the Third age mod for M2TW..

How is it fucking possible that Dwarves haven't gone extinct yet, even the humans have a better setup for dealing with orcs. In my Empire games the orks were literally a non-issue, any number of them could be handled by a single stack of mixed halberds and knights, but the dwarves seem to suffer xbox huge casualties no matter what I do. Am I missing something?

No, they really can't. They're an excellent addition to the CD roster and fit the lore perfectly. They're the dorfiest daemons ever. No unreliable pacts or bindings. Just making your own daemon and enslaving the shit out of him.

They have solid frontline units, with great cav and the best monsters in the game, along with necromancers and vampire lords/heroes to buff your units or regenerate them, it's a bloody grind. But the VC's shtick is that they can raise the dead after a battle has been fought so any units you lost can be replaced on the fly.

Kemmler is not that good sadly, he just lacks the stuff other LL's have
Vlad is really aggresive, gives all his units vanguard deployment and has insane regen for himself.
Ghorst is a better Kemmler with some unique spells. Also gives his army poison attacks and increased unit regeneration on the campaign map
Mannfred is the most versatile lord on the battlefield who can excel at any job.

I'd say got with Vlad, he's the hardest to unlock for the other lords. And he would be the "real" vampire count leader, much as Franz is the real Empire leader.

Lore Friendly? Yes and No. Dwarves wouldn't live far from mountains but humans, undead and orks are adaptable. Is it fun? Yes it adds more of a standard TW domination experience BUT it can also make the game boring once you have a shit ton of cities like in other TW games.
