Here's a suggestion to people who know how to actually mess with 3D models and animation: wouldn't trying to do something with a group pose work with very simple things to start with like reusing animations recycled for both genders?

In this instance, basically taking the 'someone getting it on lap'. Someone is doing it from the front, facing the character on the receiving end, and just recycle the XA for the character doing it on the backside.

Granted, I know nothing of this, but as far as asset reutilization for something that would work well, it seems somewhat feasible, I think?

In this case, I think you're overthinking it. See it like this:

One character is doing the thrusting. That animation and model is already setup.
One character is on the receiving end, being held in their lap.
Copy and paste the movement of the character doing the thrusting from the original pose to one on the other end instead.

Sex-starting triggers / dialogue / whatever don't matter - it's only about loading a 3rd model already using the same animation of the active partner, just flipping its orientation instead.

If starting from this barest bones groundwork is even possible, then there's a chance something can work.

The idea of having a 3rd model just peeping at it is also valid.

It's more about thinking of it straight in the sex scenes before thinking of everything else (start triggers, dialogue, whatever - that is polish). Might as well just even do a "press E to try to load the third model" like any fledgling project starts out as.

Splitting up the files is the absolute worst idea. Everything in texture is still more manageable than some things in texture.

the plan is to add a setting in the config.txt so you can assign the overrides locations yourself. The files are split because that's how it works for now(mainly because the texture override starts in the \data\textures\ while everything else starts in \data\). Also whatever we decide for tans is gonna become obsolete because there's a UI for tan replacements so it's gonna become automatic, same with hair highlights(they already work just don't persist).
Splitting them for now is not a big deal imo because it would be easy to merge them. You can keep everything in the textures but that won't be necessary soon.

not exactly. The AAU has a few pre-determined paths(which you see whenever you press the Browse... button). All the cards' stored overrides are relative to these. The idea is to make a single override path that the user can choose for themselves so as long as the structure inside that path is the same it doesn't matter where you put your override folder. As I said you can keep everything under \data\texture\override\ but after the folders merge in the next builds all your overrides will break so just keep them split for now. Whenever you Browse a file your first destination should be override\ folder, regardless of where it factually is

Maybe, but it depends on what your overrides are. If you took into account that data\texture\override\ will move to data\override then they won't. If you add a hair override to \data\texture\override\Meshes\hairs\ then they might break.
I made Temperantia on a test build(probably on test3) so if you use the official build she might not work, I never tested that. She works fine on test4 if my game is any indication.

My game crashes whenever someone gets stabbed so turning off violent interactions eliminates crashes. It's not related to AAU tho.
I know about the card removal crash but that's up to hackanon to fix. If you have other crashes I'd like specifics because I have to reproduce them to figure out potential fixes. Also don't forget to load the class AFTER you run AAU.

With the test4 build I'm 80% sure the body sliders won't work with the next build so consider them as a proof of concept until the whole feature is complete. Making an issue on github with the list of sliders and bones will definitely speed up the process.
