I have LL too and it's still not value enough to waste 6 gems farming him. I'll be maxing him slowly over the next 3 weeks. There's no reason to run the Frieza event after the 2nd since that's when they stop the tally, and you had all the rest of the appearances to farm him.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have farmed him though, I'm saying you would have maxed him without having to gem at all, and the rates of CC/Tomes between Frieza and Coliseum are close enough that it doesn't matter what you're running.

Nope, Butler and Gasparde have only appeared once, this is also Indigo's first time appearing. Zephyr has been run twice and Shiki should be coming back this Friday.

The only reason people think the movie guys might go away is because of licensing deals with Funimation. If all of this is being done to promote Film Gold, that would imply the next time they come back is the next time a new OP film comes out.

There's actually no issue with not updating older units, either. If they had any intention of ever updating older units besides wide-spread mechanical changes like new classes, Sogeking would've been made to be better than GPU.

The real problem will be if they don't make F2P units that can clear the newer content balanced around the power creep, but ultimately I don't think Akainu will ruin balance. They developed raids and debuffs specifically to fuck with other legends, and they can do it even more easily with Akainu.

Well yeah, I don't think the older units are going to be phased out. I'm hard pressed to think of a time when Raid Mihawk and Doffy will become irrelevant, and even if they do make RRs that are better, I don't think they'd ever balance the game around those RRs, especially since I've heard there are laws in Japan about all content in F2P games being accessible without having to pay.

I just don't think Bamco is going to go back and update Mihawk to do 40% instead of 30%, or anything like that. They just need to stay relevant, which they've done a pretty good job of so far.

There's really no need to fuck with balance OPTC is a very well balanced game imo. They find a way to make every unit in some way unique. Even if 2 are extremely close there is one difference that would warrant picking one over the other in a given circumstance.
And they more or less hold true to the lore with their balance I'd say. Sogeking is cool, but he was a gag. Usopp rightly should be more useful in the long run. And Arlong had enormous strength in the series. He just didn't have any special abilities or anything to make use of it. Therefore great attack but fuck worthless special and 1 socket.

It's not so much a conspiracy theory as it is common sense.

A failed community effort is the worst thing that could happen to a game, especially a mobage, because in addition to the playerbase being bitter that they didn't get all the rewards, it's a damning piece of evidence that the game is either dead or dying. For every one whale that'll try to dump even more money into the game to keep it alive, several times more will leave because the writing is on the wall. It also doesn't help that we don't know the clear-to-point conversion for the event, and that the number update so infrequently.

Also, I don't think anyone's bitching about it, except to the reddit player who keep making rousing posts about you have to contribute for the good of everyone.

Largely minor boosts with a few useful ones like the new Garp giving 75 extra ATK to every unit (so 450 extra attack total which is basically like giving your whole crew an extra 125 CC) or stuff like reducing Paralysis/Blind duration, or making negative orbs for that specific unit act as matching orbs instead, but none of them have been really strong enough to warrant taking units that aren't very good in the first place like SW Sanji, which was the original intention they had of making lesser units better, but it just turned into making already good new units even better (like the aforementioned Garp)

Basically something for whales to use their dupes on. Silver RR = 100, Gold RR = 300, Legend = 5000, Everything Else = 1-10 (worthless). So if you take that and look at the most incentivizing prizes' costs (the unique unit, ship, and universal skillbooks), it's easy to tell it's pretty much only for people who actually spend money. The special units haven't been super broken or anything, but the Rocket Man ship is the only Powerhouse ship so far and is really fucking good, but it's getting replaced by the Garp ship tomorrow (1.5x ATK/1.25x HP to STR/PSY).

We have no real way of knowing if things will rotate back in on the shop, but I assume they will at some point just because the Rocket Man is basically the best thing they've put out that's unique for the shop (though if you don't have or use 3D2Y Sanji or Lucci, you can live without it). And you'd be correct about the skillbook, and it's basically just a skillbook for any unit. Not super useful unless you have Legend Kizaru who only needs 3 skillups anyway, but it's there.

The shop's pretty much the least F2P thing they've ever done, but it at least makes it less painful to pull yet another dupe Boa or some shit. Rest of the rewards are just convenience items that are way too expensive for what they are (especially 10 Cotton Candy for 3000, when the Halloween event islands already rain candy down from the heavens).

Yeah, people that pulled dupe legends prior to this were probably kicking themselves when it came out, but there was really no reason to save those units beforehand since you could still get a skillup or socket from them at the very least. I was lucky enough to have saved a dupe WB that I was planning on putting different sockets on to act as a sub but trashed that idea when the shop hit.

If you're just starting out (just assuming here, I figure anyone else would be working on Raidhawk already) with a reroll you should probably socket INThawk just because he'll be your main captain for a long while so getting those sockets filled quickly will be more valuable.

Don't be autistic anon. I have Inthawk and I still get more use out of Raidhawk when it actually matters, you can't deny the power of the 50% health cut of 2x Raidhawk and he's also a fantastic sub.

Inthawk at the moment is not much more than a glorified beatstick amplifier, his special cool down is abhorrently long which means he doesn't have a big place in teams as a sub or a captain at the moment without ridiculous stalling.

Example 1: I am using Inthawk to clear Halloween 2 easy as fuck but I'm only using Mr. 1 special (and Doffy if I want to move around some orbs, obviously orb boost is moot because of Sanji), Inthawk is only their to boost damage, Raidhawk could easily take his place and it might be a turn or two slower.

Example 2: I'm using Raidhawk to clear Colo Hawkins but I couldn't use Inthawk in his place because of the need for his special (which needs to be max, or close to) and the right typing, I would lose if I was using Inthawk.

I'd argue and say, which isn't really much of an argument at all, that Raidhawk is leaps and bounds more versatile than Inthawk, as much as it saddens me to say as he's one of my only two Legends (the other being Ray).

It does seem to be shifting towards a more powerful, single unit meta.

Teams that used to need two units for full board manipulation are being replaced by single units that are even better than the two combined, like Tesero, Borsalino and now Akainu. Either they are running out of ideas, or want more money, or both. But power creep is most definitely finding its way into the game, we should be glad that it's been this good for this long I guess.
