In this meta vanilla minions will not see any play unless they're hugely overstatted.
Your opponent gets to interact with them before you do.
Which means 70% of the time you paid X mana to do nothing.
The 30% needs to be very good for the card to be worth putting in your deck

The problem with secrets is they become cancerous once a secret class can cheat them out while playing on a murderous curve, so pre-standard paladin and kara hunter.

Kezan was a fine tech against freeze mage, but it was only run in reno decks since Loatheb and Healbot were typically enough to win against freeze where possible and they didn't fuck up your other matchups.

Eater of Secrets on its own is not enough to deal with secret hunter and wild paladin because they will kill you anyways. It does win games against freeze mage because you're playing it for lethal, but nobody is running it because freeze mage is a blip on the ladder.

Flare was not necessary since hunter could deal with secret paladin without it.

Healing wave actually counters aggro
Ice block counters midrange, control, and slower combo

In general, when people say "there i fixed rogue" they mean "there i broke the game"
rogue is the most dangerous class and it isn't easy to fix because its class identity is "fast combo"
this is a problem because of the lack of interaction in HS
rogue has high propensity for creating binary metagames
If it gets good healing, the game degenerates into rogue vs OTK vs midrange shaman
If rogue gets good stall, it degenerates into rogue vs aggro
If it gets both, we have rogue vs rogue
think carefully about what you want

Trogg is often a 1 or 0 of, Totem Golem is a definite 2 of, and mulliganed for, but not over Spirit Claws. Aggro Shaman ran 8 or 9 one drops and still would occasionally run into curve issues. If I get hard curved out with Trogg into Golem, I probably lose with any deck, but I'd rather take the non coin flip option.

I am running double ooze and double alchemist, so I guess I'm just running zoo that specifically targets mid shaman.

skill burglar is an ok card, you need to have synergies with it for it to be good and even then you could just get crap.

Edwin is really janky. There are times when hes going to be too awkward to setup and since most rogue decks dont have high statted minions anyway hes guaranteed to be removed for not much point. His real use is in tempoing out your smaller minions because they have to waste a turn hard removing it.
