For example, my 40AP pyramid party has:
Brave Lix CE (Max) + Mashu Beast CE + Roman CE + Roman CE + Halloween Iri (Max for my Boss Killer) + Da Vinci CE (Max from Support) and I get like 50 gold + 70 silver + 100 bronze which is pretty good.

I'd actually argue Satsujinki is more sane than Shiki. Unless I'm reading this backwards. He's a lot more "in control" than Shiki.

SHIKI is a little questionable because it's largely due to Kohaku's drugs and shit that he's as bad as he is, but he's still entirely capable of behaving like a normal person when it doesn't come to anyone in his family.

Ryougi on the other hand was fucked from the get-go with dual personalities and even after only having "one" was really struggling to function as a non-killer and can only really get along with a couple of people, compared to SHIKI who can have a normal conversation with a random stranger, Ryougi is definitely the most unstable of the two in general.

Satsujinki is far less 'in control' than Shiki, as he's progressed his eyes to the point where Sugoi Sugoi's mystic eye killers have lost their effectiveness like in the Ciel route bad end, and he's one bad fight from going scrambled egg mode. As for Ryougi, the two personalities are separate in regards to their sanity and as noted earlier are creations of 「」. As to SHIKI, I don't know about Kohaku's drugs making him that much worse, given how Akiha's personality was fine under the drugs and only became worse are she stole his madness when she plundered everything he had.

Satsujinki is fragile, but I wouldn't consider him less in control than someone who can very easily lose control and murder what he thought was a random woman and all the other good shit he does. Satsujinki doesn't seem like he'd lose it like that, and shows enough restraint to avoid unnecessary killing.

The whole creating personalities doesn't help Ryougi seem more sane. Especially considering she is the "dominant" personality over 「 」 who stays dormant.

I wouldn't really consider Akiha entirely sane either, but she's nowhere near any shiki level when she isn't royally fucked over. It could very easily be said most the events in tsukihime are Kohaku's fault. Roa didn't help things but SHIKI showed that he was able to maintain control over him in the far side routes.

Canonically, Ryougi spends most of her time staring off in the distance, not focusing her eyes on anything, allowing her to more or less tune out the lines. Tohno could probably do the same, and it might even let him better acclimate to his eyes like Ryougi, but it's much less in his nature to ignore the world around him than it is in Ryougi's.

Unrelated, but Kohaku route was a real mindfuck in various ways. Shiki thinks he's a murderer because he sees SHIKI's point of view in other routes. Turns out he's innocent of course. In Kohaku's route you have Shiki actually kill some girls in a back alley, as its revealed to not be a dream and it is definitely Shiki because he looks down and sees Nanatsuyoru and immediately meets SHIKI after that in the same back alley, and then its just never addressed again.

He wakes up with his hands covered in blood, washes it off, and its never addressed in the rest of the route. It was just a surreal scene of SHIKI and Shiki having a conversation about boxing while drinking coffee.
