Damage is increased starting at 6%, and then increases at .2% per second until it maxes out at 20%. If you're using a melee weapon other than DBs or JBs drinking a mate will reset it back to 6%, if you're using a ranged weapon, DB, or JB, if you get hit it gets reset, and if you're using a tech weapon using a dodge action resets the pot.

It's not nearly as much of a grind as Runescape. I don't know if you could get two classes to 75 in a period of one week but it doesn't take very long, and there's plenty of variety for new players to experience as they level up to where it shouldn't be an issue.

There are EXP boosting consumable items that are fairly cheap. You can also buy an EXP boosting drink with premium set (which is basically an optional subscription sort of thing) but it's quite expensive for how long it lasts.

Partying with other players will also give you bonus EXP. Some quests also have EXP boosts. I believe there's a boost week coming up soon, maybe even after tomorrow's maintenance, so that'll help significantly.

You can check the name of the item on the shop but chances are they're worthless, so use them, sell them to a vendor, whatever you want. This applies as far as equipment is concerned; miscellaneous items that stack are fine to hang onto, like grinders or synths, or crafting materials/food.

The only exception to this would be things like units with a large number of special abilities (4+). They can be valuable depending on the ability, so you might want to hang onto those for a little while.

I've managed to get 4 13* drops thusfar from 8 sheet set completions, and 2 full sets of ray units (aswell as 2 gryuzoras units, 2 deadlion units, and a shitload of ray rears). Light is about the existing content, rather than forthcoming content really. If the new end of year EQ content had dark as the element it was weak to, dark would be the new hotness for weapon element choices.

I'm also in Australia, and know a couple of people who also play from here. This game is fairly forgiving as far as ping goes, as long as you don't have something like 400-500. You should probably have something like 150-250 if your connection isn't complete shit tier.

Compare this to say tree of savior, where playing from australia is a fucking huge handicap even on sea servers because of shit routing to singapore for a number of isps, and ping to the US is near on the same. You can stand next to a guy who has a much lower ping than you and he'll attack 5 times in the timeframe it takes you to attack 3 times. I took a few weeks off. Turns out that finishing Ray beyond 40% isn't happening, but these new weapons seem even more silly. I can't do Ult yet (Su at 75, Gu at 61.5, Fi at around 50) and never touched an XQ before (so no Expert blocks), so I guess first priority is getting Gu to 75 ASAP for Ult access and gradually work up Fi to 75 as VHAQ parties appear. Keys have been dropping an awful lot, which is good. I'll figure out XQs sometime. Maybe I'll work on RA in the future.

I did see someone advertising VHAQs earlier. If I want to do VHAQs with someone else, do I need to have a huge collection of capsules myself first? Should I bother grinding up a 10* NT or Nox Gunslash for this, maybe at least for Fi?

I'm still running Hiei. I did pick up Tian, but haven't worked on it yet... with these new units, should I just wait and obtain those (or maybe use the new leg unit with Tian), or should I still bother with Saiki?

I did get some free Google credit, so I was thinking of getting premium through ES, which would make Saiki easy to get and let me run more Collect Files.

Ray weapon at 40 should be...good enough for Ult. Gix pretty much obsoleted everything else.

You don't need many caps to run VHAQ, since it's just one per run plus however many for Risk. You do need some if you intend to host +50 risk, but other than that you shouldn't need many at all.

Crafted Tian + Ray leg is good for attack and PP (115r-atk/39PP/50HP). Crafted Saiki is still good if you want more PP (60atk/45pp/100hp for 1HP2PP). Full Ray is more "balanced" (75atk/27pp/150hp). All are viable options depending on what you're looking for in your units.

Halloween lobby always makes me smile

So I have been unable to log on for 2 years because of what happened back in 2014.
I have just been able to log back on some time last week.
Everything has changed so much, and I can't even do Super Hard quests even though I am level 65.

Is there some guide somewhere that I can get back on the right track? My attack seems fine, but I feel my armor is leaving me particularly squishy.
I finished unlocking all of the episode 3 quests the other day. I am not sure if I do AQs where I believe I left off, or the Extreme quests if I can even survive it.

The boss has an attack that essentially oneshots badly geared people but it's with a big telegraph and honestly it can oneshot even not as badly geared people in its buffed version.

Don't go with Hu/Br unless you are willing to pay out of your ass for already grinded Dragon Slayer getting those weaponoid boosters is a major pain in the ass. Hu/Br will be weaker than properly played Hu/Fi and much weaker than a really strong Hu/Fi and good for Sword only.

Oh, I misunderstood then.

Since units are an issue, you can buy a full set of Hiei and craft them for much higher defenses + stats than what you would usually get as a drop. Once you have them, usually people try to work towards Saiki units which can drop from bonus quests (can get a key to do them from the daily Recommended Quests if you're lucky) or the new 12* units for people who want to embed Skill Rings into their units. I can help with crafts if you need them since I am on Ship 4.

AQs are mostly done for leveling or getting higher level PA discs. XQs aren't too relevant (or hard) anymore except for a very endgame weapon that needs the stones for an exchange but they are an okay source of Meseta if you farm certain stages, there is a solo XQ which will destroy most new players though.

Stay Hu/Fi, the Hu/Br Sword build needs a specific upgrade material from the mobile game unless you just buy the weapon fully done from the shops outright (needs premium). It's not better than Hu/Fi in the vast majority of places unless you're in a highly geared MPA and even then it's debatable. You can get a decent Partizan 13* for free from one of the NPCs in the shop area in front of Dudu if you keep doing their COs.

Your skill tree probably needs fixing since many Hu main skills have been added since the last time you played, I'm not sure if the free Skill Reset passes from the Visiphone have expired yet.

That weapon is mostly outdated now because of Collect Files giving you much better ones but there currently isn't a decent file to help you upgrade from that in order to be able to do Ultimate so you probably have to rely on stone/badge exchanges (which take kinda long + the quests to get them are dead) or use the 13* CO Partizan to speed things up a bit.
