Well, not really because:

The paralyzed man in Intouchables was a billionaire, but Price family was poor because of the medical treatment.

The motive behind meeting each other is different (Intouchables: employer and employee, LiS: meeting a friend that lost contact)

Intouchables had a happy ending by continuing to be partners, but in AU LiS Max has to crank it up to 11 or Chloe gets furious on Max for not 'letting her choose her own decision for once'. Either way Chloe-AU Max relationship is badly hurt.

/lisg/ generally became very slow recently, I guess the popularity of LiS is dropping.

Popular generals like /owg/ goes through 5~6 new generals daily, but /lisg/ gets a new general every 2~3 days. Probably similar with other story-based game generals since there's less to discuss about.

We've had longer periods where threads lasted two or three days in the past. Episode 1 being made free sped things up again, but with semesters picking up and the Episode 1 hype calming down and whatnot, it's not too surprising that we are settling into a slower rhythm again for the most part.

There's always short-term and even still long-term activity boosters ahead though, and honestly the slower pace is comfy; laziness fits the season.

I chose to euthanize Chloe because it reminded me of when I saw a family member that was very close to me suffering in pain on a daily basis in ICU. Chloe in medical bed with all the machines next to her just gave me flashbacks of the memory I had. I honestly didn't want to see another person in pain till their death, whether it's a fictional character or not. So I chose to respect her request and let her rest in peace.

Start of ep.4 was the only part of the game where I had to stop and take a break because I cried so much. It just threw me back to that horrible memory I went through when I was young. Couldn't even dare to see the bay ending in ep.5

I'm proud of Max for not crying and stood strong when her best friend died in front of her.

I convinced my co-worker to go and play the rest of the episodes, he had played 1-2 a while ago and never did the others. He came back he told me he intended to play just 3, but ended up doing them all in one night.

I knew what came next would be crucial, of course I asked him what his choice was at the end.

Maybe. The cloth being different just gives me the idea that it's the first night they're in Seattle together.
They're both safe and maybe they've even heard for Joyce and others, but they've still been through a lot. Their past problems do not immediately go away and I would think Chloe especially would have a hard time dealing with some things from her past. At the same time she also wants to appear strong and look after Max.
It would be very tough for the both of them, but they will make it.

“Tequila, and it’s mostly gone…” Chloe voiced her discovery. “Dammmmn girl” Max was stunned. Kate was still clinging to her like a child. Chloe was finishing the rest of the flask. “Rocking tequila” she concluded.

Chloe softly loaded Kate into the back of the Jeep, and handed Max the keys. “Get us home, supermax”

“’Uh, babe? Home is hundreds of miles away.”

“Y-Yes?” Kate replied through her sobs
“Where do you live?”

“Just down the way.” Kate replied again, and gave them the address.

“Google map that shit” Chloe instructed, crawling into the back with Kate.

“Eye eye captain” Max responded, hoping in and starting the engine.

The ride was quiet. Max used the time to think about what had just happened. She couldn’t help but feel a little guilty. Chasing her dreams in San Francisco with Chloe while Kate had been left to pick up the pieces of her life. Why didn’t she visit her before now, or at least call? Because it hurt so much to remember. To remember the Arcidia Bay and everyone who was there. Wiped right off the map.

A new song came on the radio and Max tore herself off that train of thought. “You’re supermax, you can’t let your mind wander that way right now.” She thought to herself. Humming along to the song, she followed the gps to safety.

Kate laid across the backseat, head rested on Chloe’s lap. Her sobbing had subsided, thanks to Chloe stroking her head and saying nice things. “I don’t usually do this. All the memories came back at once when I called you, I-I didn’t know what else to do”.

“It’s ok Kate, we’re going home, and I’ll get rid of all that nasty drink for you” Chloe replied soothingly. Max couldn’t help but smile. Classic Chloe.

Further into the ride, Kate broke in once again. “I-I think I’m a lesbian too guys”. Kate said in a hushed tone, as if someone would overhear and not approve. Max was floored.

“No you’re not Kate, you’re just drunk” Chloe offered her sage advice as she continued to stroke the confused woman.

“Yeah you’re right” Kate said sleepily, before drifting off to sleep.

She did this one time. Literally just this one time in this one alternate universe. The fact that it is insanely out of character shows how bad off she was when she remembered everything that happened. She wanted an out, but was firmly against killing herself because of the psychological help she had received. She remembered the bottle of wine her mother used to hide from the rest of the family and drink when she was very upset. She thought she could do the same, but new nothing about it and got something strong af. She didn't want wine because she still had negative associations with wine because of the time she was drugged.

This is not a dig at Kate please no one take it this way. Kate is awesome. This is just a silly little story I wrote. I don't want to make anyone unhappy. Thank you

Both of them are very clingy in their sleep. Max likes Chloe's touch to ward off nightmares, Chloe likes knowing Max is right there with her and that she's not alone. Plus they're both comforted by the extra warmth, and the smells they associate with being safe.

He knew Max was serious enough in Episode 5 when he immediately knew Max needed his help to save Chloe with the picture, and he accepted that. Yup. That' what I thought would happen. Although it was a lot more vulgar than I imagined. Chloe encountering a very corrupt cop who is trying to spin everything as her/ her friends being the problem and Nathan being a law abiding citizen.
Honestly, this s how I think things would play out after the Bay ending- Sean would find some bullshit way to get Nathan off the hook/ reduced sentence (Only yet another reason to NEVER pick that crap choice). At least in the Bae ending Nathan is either dead or Jefferson will make sure he does not go down alone and will bring up the fact Nathan was his willing accomplice.

But for this story, poor Chloe. I hope that cop gets his shit pushed in by her, by David, or by Max.

She was there for Chloe when she felt like no one else was. In Chloe's own words Rachel "saved her" (Take that how ever you want). She was friends with people that were otherwise looked down upon: Frank, Daniel, Justin, Samuel, etc.
By no means is Rachel perfect but I don't think she was a terrible person. She just made a lot of mistake when it came to honesty, even though in her mind it was the best course of action to try to keep everyone happy. I don't think she was much like Max either but we never got the chance to judge for ourselves.

Chloe's behaving better, is happy, and has finally come to terms with William's death (But obviously will never forget him, which is what Joyce has been trying to tell her the whole time). David isn't being secretive and is working on his own problems. Max is back.
Sure, she was probably injured in the diner during the storm but Joyce is a strong woman and with all that stuff to be thankful for she will heal.

You also get to see a more thriving Arcadia Bay before the economy declined, before Jefferson arrived, and (hopefully) with less Prescott corruption. It would be familiar enough for people that enjoyed LiS, and different enough that it's original. If you wanted to go back further then maybe the 1980s would work, but I feel like the 70s is a little too far back.

Hella. Cookies are something you'd bake for Christmas with your children, and Max's mother has definitely done that with her. Not only because they are the creative and fairy DIY type (self-knitted pillow, photography, decorations and whatnot), but also because Max freaking loves pastries (they didn't send her cookies for her birthday for no reason).

It's definitely pretty cool, but I'm not sure it must have taken much time. The lines of text look ripped straight from game files, with little if any regard for context (there's that descriptive and capslock stuff in there), and the rest is just coloring certain parts, which programs/algorithms do for you. Not sure if they they did it like that, but I'd assume so.

The pizza place reopened a few weeks after the storm. Even then they couldn't meet the demand of everyone.
Once Joyce got out the hospital she cooked meals in the shelter camps for those who couldn't go to their homes (Two Whales was closed and she didn't want to sit at home doing nothing). That's where she met the Marshes and she quickly took Kate under her wing.
Kate learned a lot about cooking, had someone to talk to, and also had her mind taken off all the bad stuff she was going through.

Aside from the obvious (Ep 2/4), there are plenty of parts of the game that I can see upsetting people who are depressed/prone to suicide. Not just oversensitive tumblrinas either. Chloe and Kate were both really realistic and relatable depictions of depression and sometimes when people see themselves like that it can hurt.

So no. I would say more games should do stuff like that but I can't think of any that I've ever felt warranted it except for LiS.

It's my belief that Max would not have settled for such shit choices. She would have waited a few days to recover and make a plan.
Use the photo she took with Chloe on the morning in Episode 3, jump into it, use that time to pull out her journal and write everything she knows and tell Chloe she loves her and they need to work together, Max kisses Chloe and leaves the photo.
In that time Chloe realizes Max is acting weird and tells Max (Now on auto-pilot) that she wrote stuff in her journal. Max opens it up and sees her own writing full of information, her and Chloe tell David about the Dark Room and use the time during the week to warn more people about the storm.

If for whatever reason the new reality is worse, then Max still has the photo and can go back and undo her changes. But I don't see this plan backfiring. It should end with her and Chloe together, more people in Arcadia Bay able to run/shelter before the storm, and Jefferson & Nathan to be caught earlier.
